  • "Very pleasant owner, Billy came and introduced himself to us on our second day, and he gave us lots of local information, restaurants etc, and gave us instructions regarding the heating, etc."

The cottage is very comfortable, WiFi was excellent, Netflix available if you wanted to use it, everything in the property you would expect for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We took our dog and he loved it looking at the chickens and playing with Billy’s dogs. Lovely beaches only a short drive away.

  • "The family were very welcoming and helped us to settle in straight away."

Highly recommend the fresh eggs for breakfast delivered by the children next door. Lovely location close to beaches and lots of lovely places to eat. Kilmore Quay perfect for crabbing with the kids, swimming in the sea and warming up in a sauna overlooking the beach which you can book into. Lots of dog freindly cafes and restaurants nearby. Would love to come back to this cottage. Dog friendly and a perfect location.

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location."

Wonderful setting, surrounded by horses and chickens that the children loved. Welcoming family available for any questions being just next door. Best local for food is Mary Barrys, Best for a pint only is Quigleys next door if you dont mind the drive they are only 5 minutes away, all dog friendly. Best seaside town to drive to is Fethard with Baginbun beach a short distance away (walkable) Kilmore Quay is nearest to cottage for a great chipper.

  • "A really charming cottage with good space and facilities and the setting on a farm was enjoyed by our kids, even in spite of the rainy weekend."

Would certainly go to Cob Cottage again.

  • "We had a lovely time on the farm with Billy, the horses, the chickens and their two dogs."

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the built BBQ was an added surprise and bonus. The cottage was a comfortable size (we are a family of 3 with a dog) and very cozy. Billy was very generous with his time, helping our 6-year-old around the horses - much appreciated. We unfortunately forgot our wellies and the sunny southeast was not as sunny this week but we had a wonderful time exploring The Ring of Hook and we did an easter egg hunt at Johnston Castle. A dinner at Mary Barry's comes highly recommended but booking is essential. We would really recommend Cob cottage and would love to stay here again

  • "We recently stayed at Cob Cottage."

The house has everything you need for a home away from home. Spacious bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and comfy lounge area made it the perfect place to relax after a day exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean. Billy, Rosanne and family were super hosts, very friendly and welcoming, with plenty of recommendations (and fresh eggs!). And we all enjoyed the animal neighbours, especially the two friendly dogs and all the lovely horses. Cob Cottage was a great base to explore Wexford. Our daughter hasn’t stopped talking about it since we left and we all look forward to returning.

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cob Cottage during May half term!"

Billy and Roseanne were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cottage was so cosy and had everything you could possibly need. Our little one woke up every morning excited to see Pippa and Poppy (their dogs!), the chickens, horses and the beautiful cat! Billy and Roseanne introduced their children to our little one too, and they had a wonderful time playing with one another! He still talks about them all to this day. It was perfect. The area was very tranquil and we enjoyed going on long walks in the local area. Billy provided us with some excellent food recommendations, our favourite being Mary Barry’s. The food and service were both outstanding. You must check this out if staying at Cob Cottage! All in all, we had a fabulous time and we absolutely cannot wait to return in the future.

  • "We recently had a wonderful stay at Cob Cottage and the owners, Billy and Roseanne, couldn't have been anymore helpful during our time there."

We were greeted by Billy on arrival who gave us a run down on everything and also a box of fresh eggs from their chickens! Cob cottage is located on the owners smallholding, your neighbours for your stay will included the chickens, ducks, a Shetland pony, a goat and other horses. They also have Poppy and Pippa to wonderfully behaved and very friendly puppers Cob cottage is around an hours drive from Waterford and 20 mins from Wexford where you can explore the beautiful towns at your leisure. If you get stuck for ideas, or want to stay local you can explore the rugged coastline and lighthouse. If you get really stuck, have a chat with Billy or Roseanne, they will throw some good ideas your way too. Cob cottage is very comfortable and felt like you were returning home after a day out, there is the log burner for chilly evenings and fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a small toilet downstairs. The property was very clean and somehow managed to be spacious and cosy at the same time.
