  • "Our stay at the Irish holiday cottage was absolutely wonderful."

The house is set in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the lush green countryside. It offered peace and seclusion, making it the perfect escape from everyday life. The cottage was cozy, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities we needed. The fireplace added a warm, inviting touch to the evenings, and we felt at home instantly. The hosts were friendly and provided great tips for exploring the local area. Overall, it was an great experience.

  • "Outstanding holiday cottage and thoroughly enjoyable stay."

One of the best we have stayed in. If we were to be really picky then would have liked a couple more large bowls as only two and a new ironing board cover.

Hello Andrew Thank you for your great review and nice compliment. We are delighted you enjoyed and have noted the missing items you mention. Kind regards Michael & Margaret Property Owner

  • "Very happy with this sc property."

Good parking space . Very comfortable bed. We did miss a small dressing table in en-suite bedroom which was the bedroom we used as it would have given us some wider drawers for sweaters., Kitchen equipment was good . We did miss egg cups!! Good choices of programmes on tv. And Wi-Fi was excellent.

Hello Elaine Thank you for your nice review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and have noted your observation of missing items. Hopefully we will see you again sometime in the future. Kind regards Michael & Margaret Property Owner

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay!"

Comfortable, homely and spotless. Has everything you need and more. Feels safe and secure for small child and plenty of space for a family to stay and not be on top of each other! The wet room is a great addition for those with any mobility problems. The kitchen has all you need and plenty of storage. The addition of a washer and dryer was particularly useful with the weather and the need to wash socks from soggy trips out! A great base to explore Wicklow but also to travel further afield too. The shop in Wicklow would have all you need but for a bigger choice Arklow or Rathdrum is only a short drive away. The shopping centre in Arklow provided a great hide out during storm Lillian - trip to the cinema, shopping and dinner was the perfect distraction from the wind and rain!! We would most definitely stay here again and also recommend it to anyone looking for a cottage stay.

Hello Claire Thank you so much for your good review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay, and that our house met all your needs while on holiday. It was good also you had the opportunity to visit nearby towns in the County and avail of other amenities. Hopefully we will indeed see you again sometime Kind regards Michael & Margaret Property Owner

The cottage is newly renovated and up to a very modern standard. The living area is super comfy with nice couches and an electric stove. The kitchen is very modern with very good appliances. The WiFi is also top notch. We slept like babies and loved every second of our stay. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again.

Hello Johannes Apologies for not replying to your lovely review so long ago, it was really nice of you to let us know you enjoyed and your compliments are much appreciated. The Cottage was off the letting platform for a period during the closures of the pandemic so I was not on the home screen so much. About the location

AUGHRIM, COUNTY WICKLOW

Avoca 14 miles; Glendalough 16.4 miles; Dublin 44.5 miles.

Located roughly an hour’s drive south of Dublin city, Aughrim is a beautiful village, recently an all-Ireland tidy towns winner, set where several mountain valleys meet. The valley of the River Ow has fantastic scenery, and spreads north-west of Aughrim for about 10 miles to the base of Lugnaquilla Mountain. It is definitely worth a visit, with a selection of local pubs and restaurants, and landmarks such as the Old Mill and the local Catholic and Church of Ireland churches. As many buildings were constructed from locally-quarried Wicklow granite, Aughrim is locally known as "The Granite City".
