"No WiFi and no cellular signal."
Cute cottage, but very small. Bedrooms were small, so cramped when you get your luggage in there. We had been traveling Ireland from the U.S. and other places we stayed had some basic amenities like coffee, tea, basic spices for cooking. this place had nothing like that. It is stated to bring all you need when we read the description, so take note, anything you think you may need, bring with you. Since we were traveling around we weren't going to haul a lot of basics with us. All the Air B&Bs we used had the basics so we assumed VRBO properties would. Very handy to Wicklow and my Nephews enjoyed the beach at the property.

"Excellent cottage the owners were friendly and most helpful, we will most definitely consider a return visit."

"Lovely little cottage on a lovely site we had a very nice week cottage has its own private beach which is only use by people on the private camp site views are amazing."
Would have been good if the cottage had internet and possibly a washing machine they do have one on site but it's €5 a wash and the machine is quite small. Hosts were also very nice. Would I stay again maybe definitely if they installed Internet access..

"As we arrived it would of been nice to receive a welcome package like a little welcome to “hogans Irish cottages” with a few teabags/coffee sugar a handful of biscuits etc."
.the back yard could do with doing up as the sun shines in the evening and the area of concrete is bad. A bbq would be nice a gas one you could sell the gas .. we would have no problem in buying gas for it … the kitchen could do with more plates a bread bin cutlery the clothes horse was broken .. a washing line would be better as we did a wash in the wash room but the clothes horse was rusty and broken so we had to use the dryer in wash room

"We had a lovely beach holiday at Silver Strand this year."
Despite the weather being variable we had lovely times on the beach and in the cottage. Went for a couple of drives down the coastline - lovely Wicklow. The cottage was very comfortable and met all our family requirements.

. it would have been nice if small amenities like salt and pepper were available for cooking. No soap for shower. The hosts were pleasant. Anne

"Lovely cottage with friendly helpful owners."
The lack of WiFi makes planning days out and eating out tricky but the on site beach more than makes up for it, breathtaking!

"This cottage made our holiday my wife and kids want to return next year Excellent"

"The cottage was very cold!"
! The fuel stove was broken and so we were offered double the electricity allowance however we did not realise how badly the broken stove would affect us. In future i think fixing the stove should be a matter of urgency as the cold was actually unbearable. The compensation for this should also gave been no limit on the electricity as we were constantly worried about using the electric heaters too much. It would also have been nice if DVDs had been provided since there was no Wi-Fi. Apart from this though the cottage was very clean and as we expected. Soda bread, milk, butter, jam and tea bags were also provided which was very welcoming.

"Cottage was clean and serviceable."
Location is ideal for a quiet holiday yet an ideal base to tour the east coast of Ireland. Host very friendly and accommodating. Nearby Private beach a boon if you have small children. Overall would have no problem in going back to this cottage.

"We had a lovely stay at the Silver Strand cottage."
The cottage was lovely and very well equipped with everything, including a cot and high chair for our 7 month old. The beach was gorgeous, we probably could have spent all day there if the weather had been warmer. The owners were very friendly and helpful and always on hand if we needed them. Would definitely stay again.
