• "Nicely appointed accommodation with everything required available."

  Lovely hosts who were very friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Had a cream tea awaiting on arrival which much appreciated after a long journey. Just one small suggestion, a small chiminea would supply outside heat and cooking ability when sitting in garden of an evening instead of the small kettle BBQ. This is not a major thing however and does not detract from accommodation in beautiful surroundings and for which my wife and I are looking forward to going back again.

• "Had a lovely stay at Jack's Nest."

  Very remote, beautiful surroundings. Elaine was a wonderful host, very friendly. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very spacious for the two of us and our dog. The little private garden was great with lovely views and very secure for the dog. The only minor (and they are very minor) negatives are that the bed wasn't the most comfortable and the duvet was far too hot for the lovely weather we had. The fridge never got very cold despite us turning it right up and probably needs replacing. We had an amazing time and would definitely return in the future.

  , exactly as listed, a great place to relax and unwind It would however benefit from a smart TV, luckily I brought a Firestick with me, I guess not crucial if you are out all day and night, but handy if you just want a day or so of staying in. the internet was adequate. Host very helpful and welcoming, and helpful with any queries regarding the local area A great place to explore and come back to relax and enjoy the quite and admire the view . a credit to Elaine and Michael

• "It was such a pleasure to stay at Jack’s Nest - it was the perfect retreat to relax and get away for a week."

  Elaine was very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was spotless, and had everything we needed. Levi our dog had a wonderful time and we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wanted a farm based retreat away from the crowds but still close enough to get out and about to visit local towns and villages as well as some beaches. • "We were met on arrival by Elaine and benny the dog, and Elaine could not have been more helpful with places to visit."

  The cottage was very clean, warm and welcoming, with a cream tea waiting, this was an amazing touch. The cottage felt like a home from home and we be very happy to stay here again.   It was very well equipped. The only thing that might be helpful to less mobile guests would be hand rails in the shower and toilet areas. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

  They were friendly, welcoming and left us a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage itself was much bigger than it looked in the photos and the wet room was just ideal. I use a wheelchair and I have to say that the accessible area was the best I have had in any holiday home. Both entrys easily gained. Everything you need is here in this cottage, together with the beautiful location. What more do you want? We will be coming back as soon as possible.

  Elaine gave me a warm welcome as did Ben the sheepdog. There was a lovely cream tea on arrival. The cottage was home from home, everything had been thought of and there was every comfort. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for Toffee, my dog. We enjoyed various walks from the door. It was a lovely relaxing holiday and so nice to park the car, unpack it and forget it. I highly recommend a stay here.

  Everything we want wanted and more. On arrival we were greeted with tea, coffee, scones, jam and clotted cream. The owners of the cottage were a wonderful couple and they couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is ideally situated on a working farm with lovely views. We had a lovely week there with prefect weather and my two springer spaniels had loads of fun. Highly recommend.

The cottage was well located to visit Exmoor, MInehead, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Bideford. There is a dog-friendly beach at Saunton Sands, north of Barnstaple, which has miles of sandy beach to explore off the lead.

  They were very friendly and welcoming. The homemade cream tea on arrival was a delightful extra touch. They also checked throughout the week that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The outdoor space was fully enclosed and perfect for our dogs. It’s very well positioned to go out and about to see lots of local sites. Hopefully we will be able to have a return visit. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

• "The owners Michele & Elaine was very welcoming and made sure you had a perfect holiday there was lots of information in the cottage on were to visit in the area we went to Dunster Castle ,Minehead ,Arlington Court but the views from the cottage was fantastic we got snowed in while there Michele and Elaine made sure we was cared for Elaine brought us a flask of homemade soup which was delicous."

  They took time out from the lambing to look after us and with being snowed in kept us informed of the situation until we could leave the cottage safely and guided us up the hill from the farm Michele & Elaine a big thank you from Pete and Lynda Hope the lambs are well
