  • "The Lodge was amazing and we loved our stay."

I don't really have anything to criticise only the trees over the hot tub could do with a trim as they were hanging over the hot tub area and the glass on the decking balustrade had slipped in places (I am a tradesman myself and have a keen eye) this would not stop me staying again. I only mention as I can see you pride yourselves on looks and quality and I am just assisting you to keep expectations high

Thank you so much for leaving us your feedback and suggestions Stewart, we really do appreciate your time, I have passed your comments to our maintenance team to resolve. Great stay and holiday. Were a few stains on the bedspread in main bedroom. But apart from that one of the best lodges and outlook we 've stayed in.Over the last 18yrs.

I loved reading your wonderful feedback Leigh, thank you so much for the lovely compliment! I am so sorry that you found issues with your bedspread however, as we try very hard to ensure that our lodges are spotless for our valued guests. I have spoken to the housekeeping manager and asked him to ensure that this item is replaced. I hope we will be welcoming you back to stay with us again in the very near future! Overall it was a nice lodge, private and quiet, also reasonably clean, the on-suite bathroom shower cubical was not clean and and there was mould around the bottom of the cubical also at the bottom of the sliding doors in the track were filthy,, also the shelf in the cubicle was very rusty the hot tub was lovely but no sun loungers to relax on when you got out, the Patio furniture was in bad condition with only a couple of seat cushions which were in bad state, we did speak to reception about the condition of these and they replaced the furniture with new cushions which was good, with a few improvements this lodge could be perfect

Thank you for leaving us your thoughts Keith, very much appreciated. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay despite the issues you encountered. My sincere apologies for the lack of cleanliness in the shower cubicle, this is obviously not something we would wish our guests to experience, so I am so sorry. I am happy to hear that your decking furniture was replaced in a timely manner and hope that despite the problems you came across you will be back to stay with us again in the future. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback Roberta, we really do appreciate your thoughts. I am so pleased to learn that you enjoyed your time with us at 3 Valley View and that you loved the lodge! As a self-catering property, we do only provide you with an emergency supply of essentials to cover your first night, so thank you for reiterating this for future guests. View was gorgeous and property's set out so feels very private! Hot tub maintenance guys were fab checking in on it everyday, and cleaning team do a fantastic job, everything was spotless! This was our 2nd time at this location, and 3rd stay with Sykes, we travel as a family of 4 with 3 very small dogs and have another holiday booked with sykes for the summer! Always find lodges true to description, extremely clean and reception staff phone to just check in and that all is OK. Can't recommend enough, but this last lodge definitely had the wow factor!

The beds extremely comfortable. Parking only for 1 car is very tight. The bushes around the parking space should be cut back a lot. This is our 3rd visit although 3 Valley View was a different lodge and much nicer than our previous one.

Thank you so much for leaving us with your lovely feedback Pauline, I am delighted you enjoyed your stay at 3 Valley View. Thank you also for your suggestion for trimming the bushes back around the parking area, to give a little more space, this has been passed to our grounds staff to implement. • "When we arrived we were really impressed by the property but as we unpacked we noticed that it really did need a good clean."

The skirting boards were really dusty, we probably notice this more as we have a toddler so play on the floor. It felt like it needed a deep clean. The towel rails were also dusty and the toilet brushes were not pleasant. The en-suite shower also requires a deep clean. We didn’t use the en-suite at all as the toilet was leaking. The towel rail also didn’t work in here and the one in the main bathroom was coming away from the wall. I think the property would benefit from some maintenance. Other feedback I would like to give is that some sort of cleaning spray is provided for the kitchen and more than one tea towel. Overall we still had a fantastic stay even with the above and reception did offer to send someone to the property but by the time we had spoken to reception we were unpacked and out and about a lot. The location and site is lovely. We found the main living space to be fab and the outdoor space is also brilliant with a lovely view. The hot tub was spotless and maintained daily.

Hi we enjoyed our stay, could do with a gate to stop dogs wondering but the property was looking tired in certain rooms - the main bedroom had stains on carpet and carpet was lifting at door bar also the shower needed a deeper clean along the door runs, blind broken in second room and kettle switch broken but other than that it was immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for a third visit

Thank you so much for your feedback Mary, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay despite the issues you came across. Thank you for your suggestion of a gate for the access point at 3 Valley View, this is something that is being assessed. I am so sorry that you found unclean items in the lodge, we would never want this for our guests, so I apologise that you experienced it during your stay. I have passed your comments to our housekeeping team to resolve. As new owners we are at present carrying out a refurbishment programme across our resorts, but unfortunately these things do take time, so again I'm so sorry that your lodge has not yet had these improvements made to it. dont. let this distract from what was a great location great stay staff were brilliant in trying to sort out issues and accomadate us . we feel the icleaning inspection and hand over should be more thorough as these issues would have been picked up and its a shame to pull down what was a great week best gary

Thank you for your feedback Brian, I am really pleased to hear you enjoyed your time with us, despite the issue you experienced with the works being carried out. Unfortunately, during your stay, our new electric charging system was being installed throughout the resort and I know that, although the contractors tried very hard to keep noise levels to a minimum, there was some disruption to the peace and quiet. • "We very much enjoyed our stay at the property which was highlighted by the hot tub which we used every evening."

It was ideally located, very private and had lovely views over the rolling hills. Sally in reception was very helpful with local places to visit and was able to help us with any directions we needed. The only negative (and these are very minor) was we found the dishwasher still full from the last holidaymakers and the floor needed to be swept. Also the internal photos shown were not of the property, although this did not spoil our enjoyment. We would definitely book this holiday again.

I am absolutely delighted to hear that you had a peaceful and relaxing stay with us at 3 Valley View and made full use of the hot tub! It was lovely to meet you both, I hope you enjoyed visiting the local area. I am so sorry you found the dishwasher full on your arrival and that the floor was unclean, I have passed your comments to our housekeeping team. The issue with the photos of the lodge is something we will look into and resolve as soon as we possibly can, I apologise that this was overlooked. We stayed at 3 Valley View for a week. It rained almost every day so having such a lovely place to relax was great. The hot tub was fantastic with great views of the countryside and good privacy. The lodge is well equipped for coking basic meals. There is a bathroom with a bath/shower and separate shower room off of the main bedroom. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay to explore Cornwall and unwind. Ideal if you have a dog too as they can stay with you.

About the location

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
