"We had a fabulous stay at 3 ocean reach."
Having read a couple of previous negative reviews regarding the cleanliness of the property I rang Sykes cottages and spoke to a very helpful gentleman who assured me that I could call him when we arrived if there was anything at all of concern or if we found the cleanliness below standard. We found the cottage to be pretty spotless and extremely comfortable and well equipped. In fact I would say it was one of the most comfortable and clean holiday lets we have ever stayed in (and at our time of life we have stayed in a lot). The real joy of this place is the position. The views are truly spectacular, particularly from the main bedroom. The food at the on site restaurant was fantastic and the welcome very warm. They are happy for you to just have drinks too. This place absolutely perfect for walkers, (our dog was particularly happy). We walked into the lovely bustling Hope cove and in the opposite direction to the beautiful Soar mill cove. You are very central here for driving into Salcombe and the lovely North and south sands. If you are fitter than us you can walk there via the coast path. We really loved this place and would definitely return and a big thank you to the owner and to Sykes cottages for being so helpful and responsive.

"The location of the house was v good, amazing views!"
! The house is in need of updating & a deep clean. Handfuls of cobwebs behind the bedside tables, shower in main bathroom needs a deep clean. Decor was dated, especially carpets which need replacing. The house did not feel clean, wood floors throughout the downstairs were sticky. There was an overwhelming smell from the diffusers in the house, not nice. Bedding was of low quality but beds were very comfortable. I didn't feel the house reflected the price being charged.

"Second year to this stunning dog friendly accommodation."
Only 4* for cleanliness as not as clean on arrival as last year. Huge concern about emergency number out of hours that was based in Chester left voice mail as unable to access key from key safe despite several attempts by me & other guests on site. Text sent from Chester to advise someone would ring me within 20mins. No tel call received! It was pouring with rain & thick sea mist & had unfed dog in car. Thankfully owner of No. 2 was staying next door who was so supportive & able to resolve my immediate problem after 2hrs+ & she also contacted owner of No. 3 who arranged for guy on site to look at key safe. Key had been placed incorrectly causing inability to open key safe! So what would I have had to do without owner of next door being there? Sleep in my car? Very stressful start to our holiday. Emergencies do occur out of hrs so this clearly needs resolving. However I would still return to this accommodation cos its awesome!

Quiet location with private car parking. A good location for walking the coastal path and only a short distance to Salcombe and Kingsbridge. We would have no hesitation with staying here again in the future.

In addition, the position of the property gave superb views over the bay and we enjoyed the hospitality of the restaurant as well. We would not hesitate to book this preperty again and highly recommend it to others.

Lots of thoughtful small touches around the rooms. Clean on arrival. Stunning location & saw some awesome sunsets. Outside environment of accommodation well thought out e.g sensor lighting- litter bins- good access to refuse & recycling areas- parking areas that included visitors parking- DEFIBRILLATOR on site. Dog friendly accommodation thanQ. Local coastal paths & short car journey to local beaches. Our favourite is always South Milton sands. Always a yummy Sunday roastie at Village Inn Thurlestone dog friendly pub. On site Ocean Restaurant not visited however has good food reviews. My personal opinion is Restaurant too close to accommodation very strong food smells waft into apartment not pleasant & occasional noisy intoxicated groups. My telephone contact with Coast and Country was very helpful. Another front door key would have been helpful. I would very much re visit No. 3 Ocean Reach again. ThanQ Jane (owner). Family & friends visiting were all very impressed with my accommodation.

It was very clean which always makes for a good start to the holiday. The beds were very comfortable, and the property is extremely well equipped, which again made it feel very well cared for. The location is very peaceful and the views of the coast are stunning. Other local areas are very accessible by car. The customer service from Coast and Country has been very good too. Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful holiday home.

"Very well equipped property probably the best we have ever had,the decor is especially nice we could not fault it."
We once stayed there when it was the Portlight Hotel and the bed is much more comfortable now!The only comment is it’s a pity the restaurant is not open more often as the food is good making it so popular that it’s difficult to get a place.One note would be there is just one oven glove it would be so helpful for us older people if there were two.

Amazing view, clean and very comfortable property. If you are looking for peace and quiet, away from the urban jungle, then this is the place to visit. My wife and I, spent 4 nights in Bolberry and it was more then enough to recharge ourselves with energy, happiness and good vibes! We walked every day on the coast from Bolberry to Hope Cove and further up to South Milton Sands. We enjoyed every minute of our holiday. Thank you!

"Outstanding location, very well equipped."
Listing did not indicate limited internet connection which is then referred to when you arrive at the property. Would be beneficial to know this when booking. A real shame as Christmas so contacting people is important. It was our only family holiday this year. Floors really not that clean. I contacted Sykes and had a reply from them on Weds 22nd both email and phone call I was told that a local rep would contact me, sadly I had no further contact. Very disappointing.

This cottage is the exception to the rule, nothing but praise to the owner for offering such a wonderful place to relax , unwind and thoroughly enjoy. It’s a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area.

Everything from the house to the weather and location was fabulous. Having two bathrooms in the property is a real bonus and having stayed in many cottages over the last few years I have to say in my opinion it was one of the most well equipped and clean ones we’ve ever stayed in.

Smart TV is set up for Iplayer but not for C4, ITV or C5 I was reluctant to enter my e mail address and my password to set up these facilities in case it caused problems in the future. 2. It would be helpful to have instructions on how to use the induction hob. As it happened we did not use it.
