The property
Caravan 7 is set within the small, family-run Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park, nestled in an unspoilt, tranquil wooded valley running down to the sea at Bovisand Bay, ideal for families seeking a coastal escape.
With smart, modern and immaculately presented interiors, you'll find plenty of room to relax on the corner sofa or armchair in the open-plan living area.
A well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer make it easy for the chef of the group to whistle up a meal for everyone to enjoy around the dining table for four; in colder months gas central heating and an electric fire creates an even cosier spot to gather and catch up on your favourite shows or films on the Smart TV and DVD player, before having a scrub in the shower and ponder how you will spend the following day.
There are two stylish bedrooms to choose from - a double and a twin, both boast restful and muted decor with built-in wardrobes for the over-packers of your family; you will no doubt feel at home from the moment you rest your sleepy head.
By popular demand, there are no bars, club houses, restaurants or cafes on-site; rather the focus is on the tranquil and beautiful, natural surroundings with all properties having direct access from the park to a choice of beaches and to the South West Coastal Path.
Be sure to utilise the large indoor heated pool, as well as a children’s park to keep your little one's company.
Though it will be hard to leave the grounds of your humble abode, a short stroll will bring you to the huge sandy sweep of Bovisand beach, offering superb fishing, rock pooling and paddle boarding ventures, all while looking out to the old defensive forts.
With many hiking routes enveloped in this area, there are plenty of routes to enable you to visit these historic landmarks, Brownhill Battery, Staddon Point Battery, Bovistand Wall, to name a few, saturated with history from the efforts to defend this side of England, and is perfect for the photographers of your family to enjoy; be sure to pack a picnic in between the adventures!
The vibrant Ocean City of Plymouth is just a short drive away (or an even shorter ferry ride from Mountbatten) with its historic Barbican and Plymouth Hoe, National Marine Aquarium, theatres, museums and galleries, boat tours, shopping and cinemas and country pubs/cafes to cater for every taste.
For the adrenalin junkies, there is plenty of activities to choose from in the Mountbatten Water Sports Centre.
Caravan 7 offers beach and nature lovers alike the opportunity to enjoy this special spot in a small friendly park.
Note: Caravan Availability 1 Feb to 31 October each year.
