  • "Beautiful property and lovely inside."

Loved the oak floors and stair case, quartz work tops and bronze mirror splash back. All appliances high end and kitchen fully equipped. It was very nice to be provided with tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tabs and cleaning products. The bedrooms again were beautiful and spacious. Very comfy beds and nice bedlinen/towels. Bathrooms fabulous. We would definitely return, but unfortunately the owner has had to make the decision to no longer accept dogs which is disappointing that one or more irresponsible owner(s) have spoiled it for the rest of us who have well behaved animals. The only downside is the noise from the trains which run very near to the house from very early in the mornings (weeks days) till quite late at night. This could present an issue particularly in summer when one wants to keep the windows open. Other than this, the location is great and makes a good base to explore Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the property overall.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we tried to make the appartment a nice place to stay, we are so sorry we have had to make the decision on pets, we had one pet left alone and caused alot of damage, and have spent a lot of money on repairs. Can you please let me know where you feel the accuracy of listing can be changed to make it better, our listing are all done by Sykes and I can give them feedback to change. Property Owner

  • "OMG-what a beautiful apartment."

If you are going to Lostwithiel in corwall, this is the best accommodation my family have stayed at. Beds are really comfortable, the owner caters for all your needs every where in the apartment and includes a cream tea on your arrival, what more could you want.

Thank you so much for your feedback we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We have only had the property for just over a year and we have recently changed all the beds to premier inn silent night. We have plans for many more improvements this year. Once again thank you so glad you enjoyed your stay, Best regards Kevin and Lorraine Property Owner

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Very modern decor. Very bright. Very warm and cosy which was ideal for a February break. Very well equipped. Loved the location which was ideal for exploring both north and south coast. Would stay again and not hesitate to recommend. The train noise didnt bother as at all as we were sleeping in the main bedroom at the back of the apartment. The cream tea provided was enjoyed and appreciated. Thank You

  • "A lovely appartment, clean and well equiped."

The welcome cream tea was a nice treat. The appartment is siuated in the lovely little town of Lostwithiel an ideal base to discover Cornwall. The nearby train station is perfect to get around the county and leave the car in its private parking space. The only dowside for us was the sofas were not very comfortable to relax on after a busy day discovering the delights of Cornwall. We looking forward to get back there next spring.

Thank you for your feedback we are delighted you enjoyed the cream tea. Lorraine and I have only had the property just over a year and this year we are making changes. • "We had a lovely stay at the Bluebell Retreat."

The apartment is clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and located close to Lostwithiel station and the town. Everything is finished to a tasteful, high end finish and we couldn’t have been any more impressed. We’ll be back. Feedback for owner We personally found the sofas very hard going but spent the majority of time on the balcony as the weather was nice. The en suite sink was very slow to drain. Apart for those two things, it was excellent.

Thank you we have only had the apartment just over a year and feedback is very important to ensure we offer the best possible stay for all our guests. This year in march we have already added brand new headboards and brand new premier inn silentnite mattresses there are now two super kings and two single beds. This year we are changing the sofas (they came with the apartment) and hopefully your next stay will be more comfortable. Look forward to seeing you again. Best regards Kevin and Lorraine Great news today we ordered new sofas very comfortable and will be delivered early July thank you again for your feedback. Update the new settees are arriving early July update new sofas have arrived Property Owner

About the location

LOSTWITHIEL

Bodmin 5.5 miles; Fowey 7 miles.

A delightfully peaceful country town, nestling in the Fowey river valley amid the woods and fields that characterise the area. Renowned as a centre for the antiques trade, there are several shops and dealers in the town, as well as a fine collection of country pubs, restaurants and a thriving farmer’s market. Lanhydrock House (NT) and gardens is just 3 miles away, while the fabulous Boconnoc House, Eden Project, shipwreck museum and tall ships harbour at Charlestown, and the picturesque fishing villages of Mevagissey, Fowey and Padstow, with the famous Rick Stein restaurants, are all within easy driving distance. The tumbling Atlantic surf, long sandy beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast, including at the renowned Newquay, make for great days out and there is also chance to enjoy river canoeing, biking, hiking and leisurely walks in this lovely area. The friendly locals also have ongoing activities, such as the raft race, the famous tug of war, Carnival week and seagull outboard motor races. The river Fowey runs from the town on its 8 mile journey through the fields and wooded valleys to the gentler southern coast, a natural paradise for those who love the sea. Centrally placed, with much to do and see in the immediate area, Lostwithiel is the perfect choice for those seeking a break away from the hectic pace of the tourist resorts.
