  • "The property was very spacious and very clean."

There was a welcoming pack on arrival, which included bread, milk, and various goodies. The views from the house are a bit special. I would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Panoramic Cottage is a really lovely property with the most amazing views."

It is well equipped and was spotless on our arrival, the provision of some food, bread, milk etc. was an added bonus! Sunrise and sunset over Brixham is a time to have your camera to hand - absolutely stunning! I just have three small suggestions: That visitors bring some binoculars with them as there is so much going on and around in the harbour. That a deeper casserole, (with a lid) is added to the equipment supplied by the owners. A smart television would be nice but not essential.

The views were wonderful, the balcony an added bonus. We were lucky to have lovely weather so we could make the most of our stay. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could want. We travelled around very easily using local transport which was very accessible. We would love to go back sometime soon.

  • "What a beautiful place!"

Breathtaking views of Brixham harbour and across the bay towards Torquay and beyond! Absolutely beautiful accommodation, very clean and comfortable, sea views from virtually every window. A gorgeous veranda to sit out on, what a find! We will definitely be back, and would recommend to anyone. Just a short note though, parking can be a bit tricky, as it's definitely first come first served. There is a one way system around the area, so if you can't park outside in the street, you have to go around the block, but there is parking up the road, most of it within view of the cottage, but again, first come first served. We didn't however struggle too much to park, and I was able to. Having said all of that, it's such a lovely walk down to the harbour, that we didn't use the car much. We bought my mum, who has mobility issues, we coped as I say, because she wasn't able to come out with us every day due to her heart condition, but this meant that the beautiful views made her stay wonderful too! There is a downstairs toilet, and my mum managed the stairs as they aren't too steep, she struggles a little with stairs these days (something that has deteriorated since we originally booked the holiday) but she coped pretty well, and it was helpful in advance to know the top floor wasn't suitable for people with a mobility issues. Hope this info is useful for those that need it, but all in all, a wonderful holiday and stay, coupled with gorgeous weather! We will definitely be back!!

When we arrived and crossed the threshold we were delighted with all aspects of this lovely house. The space, the decor, comfort and cleanliness, not to mention the view is outstanding. We were blessed with the weather too so all in all, we couldn't fault Panoramic in any way.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at the Panoramic Cottage."

It was clean, bright and spacious. There was everything you could think of available, you don’t need to take anything with you. The best part about the house are the views, they are absolutely breath taking, we could not take our eyes off it. The only issue I would say is there is no direct parking and you have to park on the road. I imagine in the summer it is a nightmare to find a parking space. A very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.

The Owners of Panoramic Cottage thank Mrs Hough for the lovely review of the property but would like to add that although the lie of the land in Brixham makes parking generally less than ideal, parking for the cottage can always be had in adjacent streets, particularly North Furzeham Rd which runs along the front of Panoramic Cottage. We chose Panoramic Cottage above other similar properties partly because of this and its level access from the road. It does not cling to a steep hill like many other properties in the Brixham Bowl. Mrs Dempsey who submitted another nice review in July 2018 said there were no problems parking on the road running alongside the house. Property Owner

  • "The cottage , the views from it, the welcoming provisions and all sorts of little touches were all absolutely excellent."

We had a lovely week there. That said were are all relatively fit and we had no children with us. Prospective renters need to know that parking near this cottage is a problem . You may be left searching for parking space sometimes at a distance away. There are also very steep and narrow one way roads everywhere in Brixham. Not for the faint hearted.

  • "A fantastic house, set in an idyllic spot with the most amazing views of Brixham and out to Sea."

The cottage has been kept to an exceedingly high standard, and the little touches by the owner, such as arriving to basic groceries in the kitchen and a large vase of sunflowers on arrival was really nice and made us feel very welcome. It was a shame the single bed had been changed for bunk beds, after I had booked but it did not affect our enjoyment of the house. It became quite hot at times in the kitchen and could have benefitted from some blinds. Although no parking at the property we had no problems parking on the road running alongside the house, (Queens road itself was hard to park in). Overall I would recommend this cottage to anyone; eating in their kitchen dinner, looking out at remarkable sunrises and sunsets was amazing, We will definitely consider coming back :-)

I have already recommended Sykes and 1 Queens Road to friends and family and we will definitely be returning!

BRIXHAM

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
