  • "Our third stay in the last two years which says everything."

Superb accommodation in beautiful cottage , spotlessly clean, warm, very comfortable and well equipped to very high standard. The patio and shared garden adjoining the brook is a lovely feature which we were able to enjoy on a couple of sunny days , a real sun trap even in November.. We enjoyed walking on the beach and eating out in restaurants all only a few minutes walk away. Lovely cottage in beautiful , peaceful and relaxing locations.

  • "Beautiful cottage centrally located to Lyme."

Blissful river running around property. Great size rooms with lots of storage. Downstairs bathroom is stunning and it’s ideally having laundry facilities. Would recommend the cottage to everyone. The only downfall is the parking being so far away from the cottage.

!!! It was lovely to return to the cottage after such a long period of time and find that although it has been modernised it still retains all of its original charm. We had a wonderful week at the cottage which was spotlessly clean, welcoming and very comfortable. A much appreciated welcome pack awaited us and set the tone for what proved to be a very happy holiday! Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us - we will most definitely be back!!

How interesting that you have a connection to the cottage! We look forward to your return visit! Property Owner

Disappointing to arrive with a bag of dirty linen in tbe double room from previous visitors which we had to move and there were other bags in the property which I think should have been removed ( one on top of a wardrobe and one in boiler cupboard I contacted Sykes but no reply Also water was coming down a pipe in upstairs shower as well which reported to Sykes with email with no reply

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the linen bag being missed. We would have been more then happy to resolve this for you but we have no trace of any communication from yourself. We will attend to look into the pipe. Thank you once again. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay here (2 adults and 2 children)."

A lovely and well maintained cottage that had everything that we needed. We particularly enjoyed the sun room and bolcany and it was nice to be able to use the shared garden with private patio area. Lovely bathrooms too! It’s a beautiful short walk along the river into Lyme Regis and we appreciated having use of the parking permit for the carpark on Hill Rd as it took away the anxiety of knowing where to park and saved us some money! We couldn’t find a key to the bedroom window which we wanted to lock overnight due to having small children (but appreciate we could have been looking in the wrong place). We couldn’t get live TV working on the main television whilst we were there, but this didn’t take away from our enjoyment as we watched the Olympics via iplayer. A beautiful cottage and very well equipped cottage.

Delighted you had a happy holiday! We all love the balcony space with the beautiful view and river sounds. I’ve spoken to the local office about the TV - so I understand all is now in hand. Thank you Property Owner

  • "Location of this property is fabulous - in the heart of Lyme Regis but cleverly secluded and quiet."

Well-appointed and parking permit is appreciated. We had a great time. The TVs were not tuned in and we couldn’t resolve. Lyme Bay Holidays didn’t resolve our issue either. Despite requests, the only responses we received were electronic communications saying it was a busy period, sorry they hadn’t got to us and did we still want our issue sorted. Not really good enough. TV wasn’t that important but hopefully holiday makers with a more significant issue were dealt with.

Thank you so much for the feedback and so glad you enjoyed the location. I’ll follow up the TV issue with Lyme Bay. Thanks again Property Owner

  • "Had a great holiday in this well maintained cottage set in a quiet corner with garden views and a small river running by which adds to its charm."

It’s very handy for getting into Lyme Regis. Just a ten minute stroll by a footpath which follows the river. Parking is nearby at Hill road which is aptly named as the road up to the car park is quite steep but is free with the parking permit supplied. As commented by others the sofas are for loungers with long seats which would suit longer legged people. Otherwise the cottage has everything you need. The only other comment we would make is regarding the stairs. The lack of a hand rail can make you feel a bit uneasy especially if you are in later years. We would definitely rent the cottage again in the future as we liked the quiet location and the standards of the property.

Thank you for your comments. We’re having a think about your stair rail comment. Property Owner

The car park that you utilise the parking permit for is only five minutes walk away, with the town and sea a further five. A good choice of eateries and shops abound in the town. The cottage is the star of the show however, with its cleanliness, warmth, comfort and attention to detail. The owner has done a particularly good job of supplying facilities and all the information that you need. It is certainly been one of the best that we have used and we would recommend it wholeheartedly to any of our friends. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

None of this spoiled the lovely quiet haven of peace.Great stay Anne King

Apologies for the late response. We have totally taken your comments on board. There are now several signs and tape to indicate the step to the bathroom. The TV facilities have been upgraded - upstairs and down. Your return would be most welcome! Property Owner
