"Great place in the centre - bright and airy with a fully equipped kitchen and open plan living and dining space."
Good value for money too.

"Hello, we have stayed in the flat 3 times, and were looking forward to our stay, despite it being rather expensive."
However, there were a few items which made our stay much less enjoyable than previously. The dishwasher was broken and despite reporting this and a maintenance visit., it was not fixed during our stay or presumably for the following guests. Also, we had not been notified that below us was a noisy building site with drilling and sanding throughout the day from 730am, which rather ruined our stay. Also the front door was dead locked whilst we were inside which was a serious risk to life safety in the event of a fire.
The old post office is being converted into a community waffle and coffee shop. Work was due to be completed in May 2024 . Most of the summer there has been little or no work and the owner is supposed to liase with us but obviously this has not worked. I am pleased to say the work is now complete and we have cleaned and decorated the entrance hall. During this time the flat has been clean and well presented bur we are very sorry that the noise between 8 am and 5pm has been a nuisance. Property Owner

"On first opening the door to the communal hallway we were all rather taken back at the damp, musty smell."
It was dark and very outdated. Whoever owns the building needs to think about making this a more bright & welcoming space. The flat itself was cosy and warm, it is clearly not just used as a holiday home for clients but also by the owners. The beds were comfortable and yes it was a little noisy being right on the high street and early morning deliveries might certainly be an issue in the summer when windows are open. Generally it wasn't an issue and we loved the local amenities being so close. Overall the flat could do with some TLC to the decoration and the windows need to be maintained/double-glazed to make it quieter and feel more modern. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

"Property was as listed and clear from the pictures."
The games available for children to play with were great. It would have been helpful for the kitchen to have a few more basics to cook with (and more than a single tea bag). Overall great stay and well located property.
Most of our properties do include a welcome hamper for guests containing tea bags etc, however this property does not. We're pleased that the children had fun playing with the games provided. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Lots to like about this comfortable apartment, and we enjoyed our stay."
It's spacious, and there a plenty of books, DVDs and games. The only drawback was that there was noise from the pub opposite at night, and we couldn't close the curtains to shut it out (they are designed that way), and then there were noisy deliveries to the adjacent supermarkets early in the morning. It's not obvious from the listing that the apartment is on a busy high street. We didn't find the holiday company very helpful though. We didn't realise that Lyme Bay Holidays is now part of Sykes Cottages, and we didn't get the personal service and local knowledge we have had before. We phoned and asked for advice about car parking, and were referred to a website. More seriously, we reported a smell of gas in the building to them, and nothing was done about it until another occupier called out the gas board to find and fix the problem 5 hours later.

"A really lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable and perfectly placed for exploring Lyme."
It was a return visit as we enjoyed staying at the property last year. Thank you for letting us stay!

"We have stayed in The Old Post Office a couple of times before and we really like it."
But this time there was a couple of issues, one being the wi fi signal kept coming and going, and the other was a strong sewerage smell each time you come through the front door of the apartment. Also the entrance hall and staircase could do with a coat of paint.
