Overlooking the quaint town and seaside views of Lyme Regis, Dorset, this wonderful traditional cottage was formerly a ship master’s residence and built in 1830.

Ancient Lights is set into a prime location of the Jurassic coast and will make a fantastic family holiday.

Be welcomed into a delightful cottage, where a delightful sitting room offers a place to recline, with stylish blue sofas and a woodburning stove to warm your feet after a day at the beach.

When mealtimes call, any budding chef will be inspired by the fully-fitted kitchen/diner to create a masterpiece from local produce, with tasteful sage cupboards, a more traditional tiled floor and an additional leather sofa, this space is great for social mealtimes and cooking due to the spacious setup.

As the evening wears on, enjoy a refreshing shower in the beautifully styled shower-room before finding your way into one of the two beautifully set up bedrooms, beginning with a fantastic super-king-size with a fireplace, wonderful grey furniture, a writing desk and a wonderful window seat with a view across the bay, and a second bedroom with twin beds, an ornamental fireplace, a window seat and a theme of green, both spacious, airy and opulent.

If you wish to dine outside, there is a great rear garden with an extensive lawn, gravel area and seating area where you can dine al fresco, enjoying breakfast with a bay view or a glass of your favourite beverage in an evening.

The local town of Lyme Regis is within easy reach of this property, with an abundance of eateries for a family meal out, before heading over to one of the towns many attractions including Cobb Harbour, a selection of shops, museums and an aquarium.

There are a multitude of fantastic beaches close by where you can enjoy a stroll in the seaside air before taking to the waves in your kayak, or you can search amongst the rocks for fascinating fossils.

Further from the town there is easy access to countryside walks and historic attractions including Cannington Viaduct and Blackbury Camp.
