  • "We loved the apartment with its quirkiness and location."

The beds were comfortable and there was an amazing welcome pack when we arrived. We knew about the steep steps at the entrance and they were steep but we’d been informed so that was fine but the only thing we’d change were the sofas, I’m afraid between the three of them not one was comfortable at all so much so we used our beach chairs to sit on instead!!. I’d recommend the apartment to my friends as the sofas didn’t spoil our time spend In beautiful Lyme Regis.

Hi Teresa, thank you so much for the feedback. We have a difficulty with the sofas due to the narrow stairs but we are looking at other alternatives! We are very glad that you had a lovely time in Lyme. Property Owner Property Owner

  • "Absolutely beautiful apartment, ideal location and fully equipped with everything you need."

As previous comments, shower does leak a little. Not an actual leak but water runs off from around top of the bath, easily stopped with flannel or a cloth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even with the wet and windy weather Welcome pack was amazing, thank you so much Steve, Lara, Evangeline and Bob the well behaved Cavapoo!

  • "On the whole we Loved the apartment, very quirky, great facilities, lovely welcome pack, great location, we would definitely stay again."

A couple of points worth addressing are: Bit of a musty smell, but u get used to it. Sofas are quite uncomfortable/small, again u get used to it. Problem with shower leaking to shop below (think it's the shower screen).

Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that you experienced a few issues during your stay. We have already investigated the leak from the shower and have some parts on order to rectify the problem. We will ask our housekeeping team to check out the musty smell. The musty smell is the floor varnish. The Lyme Bay Team and Owner Property Owner

We enjoyed our stay we just struggled with the stairs into the property no good for elderly people we struggled with it ourselves. Also the people living upstairs were very noisy 6 am wake up call every morning & evening they weren’t much better like a Hurd of elephants !! Exhausted from the lack of sleep & sea air

Sorry to hear that you experienced some noise from the flat above. Unfortunately this can be the case with flats, especially when it is a character property and there is a mixture of residential and holiday lets. The Lyme Bay Team. Property Owner

Great facilities, lovely welcome pack full of local treats, overall very comfortable and quirky and relaxing. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

  • "Great holiday apartment, close to everything."

As mentioned in other posts the welcome pack was fantastic and well thought out. Beds were comfy and we all slept well. Kitchen was very well stocked for home cooking, plenty of space for a family of four. The apartment itself was old and quirky with plenty of pictures and ornaments that made it nice and homely. Would book this holiday home again next time we are down. Not a complaint but just a note for other family's with young children..Stairs are steep so had to make sure hands were held and where the front door is situated, unloading/loading could be tricky during busy holiday periods. Great place Great holiday

  • "A lovely, very comfortable, clean, warm holiday let."

The hamper with the bottle of milk was an added bonus. Maybe an electric kettle instead of an ice cube maker, due to gas hob taking ages to boil kettle. Could not find washer/dryer, only washing machine. The 2 bins were full of rubbish plus bags of rubbish on top. These obviously hadn't been emptied for weeks which we put out for the bin men. Lastly, my daughter was unable to get out of main door onto the street one day. As upstairs residents had double locked the door. Luckily she found the funny side and had to ring us to rescue her. We would definitely return. Ideal location for the beach, shops and plenty of cafes/restaurants to eat.

Thank you for the feedback and we have an electric kettle there but it only does one cup at a time so will replace that! So glad you had a nice time and hope you will visit us in Lyme again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely quaint apartment (except for looking out onto a wall from main window) but the two little 2 seater sofas were not very comfortable - very firm and not great to come back to for an evening in if it was raining!"

The chaise longue was unusable as very old, lumpy and impossible to sit on! The main nuisance was people in the flat above getting up at 6am and thumping around for about an hour!

So glad you liked the flat and hope the rain didn't spoil your visit to Lyme. The chaise longue is great for lying on and watching TV! I am sorry about the noise from upstairs but it is a Tudor building so there isn't much we can do about that but they are lovely people upstairs. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay but the furniture was so uncomfortable what was that chaise in the corner ?"

But when we arrived the smell of dog was overpowering the mat we rolled up as dogs had urinated on it as you can see from the back of it . The shower leaked through the screen soaking the floor . And the back yard was full off boxes and rubbish not the best . We love Lyme Regis but couldn’t stay in that accommodation.

The beds were very comfortable, which is very important to me. A lovely hamper was provided which was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Would recommend the apartment and if we return to Lyme Regis would stay there again. The only thing I would say that the shower leaked onto the floor, the owner may not be aware of this, but I think it’s worth mentioning as it could damage the wooden floor in time if left.

Hi Helen, so glad you enjoyed the apartment and thank you for bringing the floor to our attention and we will be fixing that as soon as possible. Thanks, Lisa Property Owner

Lovely clean property ,the welcome pack was a nice addition and fully appreciated! Lack of parking outside the property was understandable being as where the property was situated, but the parking permit for the car park was great ,as once we were parked we didn't need to move the car anyway. We had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
