"Getting down the narrow passage reversing very difficult no signs at the entrance to tell cars or passerby why you are turning into passage, trades vans blocking us about 4 times if I knew that I would never have book not good for older people, the apartment was nice."
-
"All very nice."
. however the lock to the door closest to the allocated parking space is extremely difficult to unlock (with the bronze coloured key) and needs repair/replacement. Such a shame about the driveway (guess nothing can be done there!) and the trees/bushes on the other side of the trellis fence which block the view of the town (guess the adjacent landowners are not amenable to cutting them back!)
Good afternoon- will certainly check the key, we have recently replaced one of the locks, might need some oil. We also have a new gardener coming in to cut the shrubs back- I will pass this on to the maintenance team. Hope you enjoyed your break in Lyme! Property Owner

"Lovely property, clean, spacious and well located for an easy stroll to local shops, pubs, cafes, beach and other local attractions."
We received a generous welcome bag of local produce, which we enjoyed and were extremely grateful for. The property was well equipped for all ages. The shower was great, decent power, which is always a bonus! Our only downside to the stay was the double bed - the mattress seemed lop-sided and a bit too soft for our liking. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. We’d certainly stay again if/when we visit Lyme Regis another time.

"Great location."
Very clean and lots of useful extras. We had a lovely weekend and would stay again.

"Really lovely place with lots of household useful bits."
Loved it's location. Would come again.

"This is the 3rd time we have stayed here."
Doesn’t disappoint. If I am being picky there were a few cobwebs here and there. The second bedroom was really cold as appears radiator doesn’t work? None of these things would stop us coming back again. It’s a great location!
Thank you for returning again for a third stay. We will organise for our Maintenance Team to take a look at the radiator. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"This has been a lovely holiday and the accommodation has been wonderful."
We even found fossils. Will be back soon!

"Third time of staying here!"
As usual a lovely place to stay- the addition of the air-fryer was a pleasant surprise!

"Great location and that’s about it."
The place has a very evident smell of damp in the master bedroom and an extremely noisy neighbour upstairs that loves to party. No soundproofing means your party along. We hoped to hear seagulls at night but we heard the music until 3am on Friday night. Kitchen would benefit from a few repairs, namely the broken oven and glitchy dishwasher. Leaky shower as well. Lyme Bay didn’t do a good job maintain this holiday let… All in all would not recommend staying at this cottage.
As a local agency in Lyme, had you notified us , we would have attended to these issues during your stay as we just want guests to enjoy their holiday. The owner has subsequently stayed at the apartment and advises that there isn't a damp issue, the dishwasher is working and no leak to the shower. There is sign by the bin with the padlock code and within the Welcome Folder. The apartment building has a mixture of holiday lets and private residences, and we will make the owner aware of the noise issues experienced during your stay. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

"Couldn't fault a thing except the noise from the flat above."
Even walking from room to room was noticeable, but we had a bunch of drug smoking party animals who really ruined it for us. Luckily they left after the first night and our next neighbours were perfect. Would recommend this place to anyone, parking was tight but was a real bonus. The facilities are amazing with two separate bathrooms / shower rooms, two bedrooms, kitchen diner, computer game area with seating, nice lounge, separate work area / table & seating, and a small outside space. It's so close to the town and the beach, and we will 100% be coming back in the future.
Thank you for your great feedback- we have discussed noisy guests with the owner of the flat above to try and minimise this happening in future. Property Owner

"The accommodation in lyme Regis was perfect."
Location near all facilities including the beach. Tucked away so lovely and quiet. The flat had everything one needed and dogs could stay, and they had a great time!
Lyme Regis is so welcoming to our furry friends! Thank you for your feedback - it is really appreciated. :) We have popped in extra food bowls and throws for our visiting 4 pawed friends. Property Owner

"Great facilities."
Inc car space. Nicely remote. Nice fittings and furniture. Have rebooked. Been several times before. Noticed more expensive than previous.
Great to hear you enjoyed your stay and that you have re-booked. Property Owner

"Been many times."
Will definitely return. Always good. (TV difficult to operate. Fans in bathrooms running constantly with no overrun when light switched off. Door dead locks difficult to use and could be dangerous in case of fire). Very well equipped and provided with useful disposable items Location good and on site parking is brilliant You may omit information in brackets in any printed review. Love lyme bay holidays!

"The front and back door locks are stiff and could do with oiling."
Someone mentioned the key box is also a little fiddly which is correct and would be better located where it can be easily seen rather than behind the white boxes. The 100 metre drive way to the parking space is extremely narrow and I think it is fair to be more explicit that you have to either reverse down it or all the way out of it. I have a Ford Fiesta but the two walls were only a few inches each side of my wing mirrors. Otherwise can't fault the premises which are spacial and very well equipped and just around the corner from the beach. The turning is opposite the Church on Church St. Had a lovely stay thank you so much.

"OK - so bear in mind that we have stayed at this exact cottage a year or so ago - and chose it because it was close to the beach and cleaned to a high standard with comfortable facilities - so it was truly a big disappointment that the level of attention to detail and facilities had gone down hill since then."
We came into the property at 6pm - so plenty of time after 4pm when we should be allowed in- the reason why I say this is because all of the floors were wet which I assumed was poor floor washing - slopping water across a floor is not washing and indeed I was proved to be correct when I cleaned part of the kitchen floor and the kitchen towel I used was BLACK. The main bathroom was not CLEAN - both hairs around the toilet were found as well as a lot of dust on the skirting board. I sanitised as best I could BUT given that I paid over £1300 for a week's holiday I was hoping for a better level of cleanliness. Further to this, the rug in the area where the washing machine is absolutely filthy - it is a high use area and clearly needs to be washed/cleaned very regularly. It was a pity that the washing machine wasn't a washer-dryer and basically pretty useless since there isn't enough space on the outside patio to get anything dry. The game station (wii?) was pretty tricky to use with at least one of the devices not responding - we have twins - and we simply stopped them using the gaming facilities because they were getting frustrated. So another facility that actually wasn't available. The sofa is basically broken with the foot extension bits of the sofa not easy to push back into the sofa and of course there are lots of cuts around one of the head rests. As I said, it is truly a pity as some of these things I can deal with but the poor cleanliness - absolutely not. We work hard for our funds and indeed my husband is on the NHS frontline - this break was meant to be restful in preparation for going back to the vaccination centre starting in September.

"Great location, a few minutes from the beachfront and high street."
Property nice and clean and had everything we needed. Thank you.

"We had a lovely stay at the cottage."
It was so well equipped and the owner had thought of everything. So close to the beach too. Thanks for a great stay.
-
"Lovely property very close to the beach with 2 shower rooms, verandah along westerly side and a parking space."
Beds and seating very comfortable and rooms more spacious than many properties in the area. Windows mainly North and West facing so not as bright as some properties, but not dark or dingy inside and this helped to keep it cool in the heat. Good facilities all in working order, however the key safe was a little tricky at times. Have stayed with Lyme Bay Holidays several times and overall cleanliness not quite as good as previously.

"Heating control was a little difficult to control and heating came on to 32 degrees whilst we were out ."
Guess someone had been messing with the timer settings?. was able to turn thermostat manually down to 14 degrees but came on again the next evening.
