"Sadly had a number of issues with this property: -Reported whilst at the property: No hot water on the first night - probably due to the kitchen tap being left running prior to our arrival, compounded by the fact that the water immersion heater controller instructions did not reflect the controller actually installed."
-The light tubes in the two main bedrooms did not have blackout covers despite the issue being raised by previous guests. -The basins in both bathrooms were too small to be of any use, other than to wash hands and the shower room much too small and lacking a towel rail. -The coffee machine in the kitchen only produced hot water. -The internet was unable to support the iPlayer and on occasions even mobile 'phone wifi. -The utility room was built over a foul drain which was quite apparent when entering the room. In all, very poor value for money.

"This is one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in it's got everything."
Lovely and spacious great location nice and quiet.
-
"Great location, lovely bungalow with everything you need."
The only fault was the large double bedroom was very cold and the bedding & clothes became damp. Apart from that we had a great stay and would return during the warmer months

"Morning light comes into the 2 main bedrooms at 5am through the light funnel & skylight… these both need some form of covering to enable a full nights sleep."
-
"A lovely quiet spot."
Walking distance to the coast. Had everything I needed.

"Great property in a good location and lots of space."
Only small complaint is the size of the sinks in the bathrooms.

"We had a lovely stay and very much enjoyed sitting in the comfortable and attractive living area with the view of the hills."
However, we were very disappointed by the sky lights in the two double bedrooms. We found the small sky light quite distracting but the large one very intrusive by the amount of light it let in. The noise was also quite a problem when it rained.
Thank you for your feedback and pleased you found the bungalow comfortable. We are sorry to learn that you found the light in the double bedroom intrusive. We are currently sourcing a blackout blind. Property Owner

"The 2nd double bedroom was I think converted from the garage and a ceiling light well was left in which during our stay we experienced heavy rain during night which was very noisy and not conducive to sleep."
Can’t understand why it was left there. Main rear bedroom also had a light well in ceiling which was distracting at night room needed a central light.Television was difficult to access main channels.

"We had a wonderful time, we love Thurlestone and Spindell was an ideal place for us."
Lots of space in all the rooms, storage was generous, beds comfortable and a well stocked kitchen. The garden is beautiful and the loungers provided were just right. I have a couple of suggestions. There needs to be a gate or the wire fencing which were provided to stretch across the drive needs to be taller. It was fine for our Westie but not a bigger dog. Also the hoover is very heavy and as an older person I found it difficult to use (my husband had to do all the hoovering
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you had an enjoyable stay at Spindell. We have now had a new much more secure dog gate installed at the end of the driveway. Property Owner
