  • "We found the property to be damp."

Beds were cold and the amount of reed diffusers seems to mean the property smells musty. Facilities were good. Comfortable and clean. Well equipped in the kitchen. The property is situated at the far end of the valley and surrounded by woodland. Steep walk up to the pools and on site pub and restaurant.

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hideaway Cottage!"

The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, especially given the wet weather. The large sofa and all beds were extremely comfortable, and the Bluetooth stereo was a great addition, allowing us to enjoy our favourite music throughout our stay. The bedrooms were cool and comfortable, and everyone slept great, which was impressive considering we were a group of 8 plus 2 babies! The cottage was spacious and well-equipped to accommodate all of us comfortably. Thank-you for being incredibly understanding and patient when we were running late at checkout, it was greatly appreciated. This level of understanding and flexibility really made a difference to our overall experience. The on-site facilities were excellent, with a warm pool that we thoroughly enjoyed. The surroundings were beautiful, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop to our stay. Overall, Hideaway Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. We will definitely be booking again for next year and can’t wait to return!

It is always great to know that what we offer made your stay a trip to remember. Our aim is to continually improve all aspects of the property and offer a comfortable and pleasant space in which friends and family can relax and enjoy time away together. Many thanks for being terrific guests. We look forward to being your hosts again in the future. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay, with 3 adults, 4 small children & a dog!"

Very comfortable, spacious accommodation. A home from home, with everything you could need. Despite the bad weather, we found lots to do in the local weather, and the children loved the swimming pool and hot tub. Already booked to come back next July and passed details on to friends. Thank you for such a lovely break.

Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Hideaway Cottage. We always strive to make everyone's stay as pleasant as possible. It was a pleasure to host you and your party and look forward to being your hosts again next year. Property Owner

  • "Not the best of experiences to be honest and I've waited few days to write this."

Very high humidity in the property which would be seriously a trouble for asthmatic people. Constant fight with the boiler which was tripping short circuit breaker out. We've tried to use boost and also tried to set manual temperature to 21+ to get rid of humidity which was on 80+ all the time (healthy advised is under 60 or 40, depending on the source you use). Setting was flipping back to 19 day time and 15 at night. Any site facilities might have been OK 20 years ago but nowadays they are outdated and not maintained (play room especially), so really nothing much to do in wet weather. Might br OK in dry and warm season, not good at all in autumn.
