"A stunning, spacious apartment in a stunning location."
Family were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed occasionally seeing the farm at work. But mostly it is a peaceful haven within easy reach of a supermarket, pub, garden centre and, of course, Dartmouth.

"Had a great Holiday, loved the Apartment."
We would definitely stay there again. So quiet and peaceful, lovely at night looking at the stars when the sky was clear. Ideal for visiting other places. The welcome pack and flowers from the owner were a pleasant surprise. Personally didn't have any problem with the road accessing the apartment. Yes there are a couple of bumpy sections, but not a problem if you drive carefully.
-
"A lovely spacious comfortable apartment, the private dog field was an added bonus."
In the event the opportunity arises we would definitely return.
-
"The property was as we expected."
Very comfortable and well presented, and peaceful. However the access was a major problem. Where we live we are used to farm tracks and rough roads. The access to our own house is along a bridle path with pot holes, BUT nothing like that access track. For most normal cars it was virtually impassable. We were fortunate to never meet oncoming cars. If these problems are not addressed Sykes cottages should state that it is only accessible with a 4x4. This is a shame because it is a very nice well situated apartment.

"Wonderful large apartment."
Lovely views. We will definitely be back.

"Beautiful location, stunning property, well equipped and very clean."
Thank you Kevin & Bev

"We took the apartment for two weeks along with the house."
The apartment is accessible from the house but access is only available if a door is unlocked. In the apartment you are totally independent and unaware of the house. The owner was very nice and very helpful while the apartment itself was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. It is ideal whether for one or two people or used as an annexe to the main house. Delightful location - yes the track to it is bumpy but easily managed either on foot or in a car.We never experienced any problem in the two weeks that we stayed there.

"Lovely property and lovely owners thanks"
-
"The only downside is the Bridle Path approach lane, which is difficult to negotiate and could be damaging to vehicles."
-
"We had an amazing time."
The apartment was lovely and in an idyllic spot, standing on the balcony there were stunning views. There was a large enclosed garden for Winnie to have a run around. We found some beautiful sandy beaches that allowed dogs. ( Salcombe North Beach and Goodrington North Beach ). Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

"Loved our stay."
The setting is beautiful yet still near everything. Internet was very patchy though.
-
"It was a lovely place to stay with a wonderful comfy sofa and bed ."
Really nicely furnished and very clean and tidy .The apartment had beautiful views and in a beautiful setting. It was in an ideal position for exploring Devon . I would highly recommend this place to stay . The only problem was the road leading to the property which had large potholes in the track .However , we managed ok but anyone with low suspension may have problems.

"We loved the apartment it was our favourite one so far"
-
"Only marked down on cleanliness due to dog hairs, but it does state clearly on information that dogs are allowed so not really a problem."
The access road whilst generally OK could be an issue with some lower slung vehicles.

"We loved our stay at Lower Norton Apartment and would definitely come again and recommend it to others."
Bed and settees are very comfortable. It's a lovely big, light, bright, airy space with beautiful views. We were able to cook adequately and appreciated the welcome pack of goodies. As others have said, the approach lane takes careful, slow driving, but our old CRV managed it ok and we didn't find it a problem. In any case, plenty of local lanes are narrow with hedgerows overhanging passing places, so Devon may not be the ideal place for anyone precious about their car! We did have to take our dogs out on their leads for their comfort breaks as there's no enclosed garden seperate from those staying in the property beneath. Maybe to help this, a nightlight could be placed in the lane outside? Ideally located to visit Dartmouth and other local places of interest. Good food shops and decent pubs for meals out are also easily reached from the apartment.

"Light switch in bathroom very temperamental."
Kitchens bit cramped but functional. Plenty of room in the rest of the apartment. Garden great for our dogs. Balcony had bird guano all over it so I couldn’t use it as going through chemo at the moment. Other than that a very nice long weekend stay.
-
"I was bij myself and found this a cosy appartment."
A welcome pack was provided which was a kind gesture.
-
"Due to the road to access the property I would not recommend any one."
The potholes are so bad kept hitting Exhausts. But we did enjoy our stay
-
"Spacious apartment with adequate kitchen."
Good shower. Comfortable bed and two large sofas. Nice big TV and also a smaller TV in the bedroom. Welcome pack outstanding. Nice balcony with beautiful view. Balcony furniture needs cleaning or updating. Minimal furnishings or styling but you have what you need. I would suggest some more blinds as I imagine it gets baking hot in the height of summer. It was a bit strange to have to take all our rubbish and recycling away with us. The entry road is challenging but doable. Massive garden across and down a bit from the property. Good for dogs. Overall really clean, spacious and comfortable loft apartment.

"Pillows need replacing."
They were as flat as a pancake. We acually had to buy two new ones. The blinds in the main lounge kept flying back up. An extra ittle table at the end of the settee would be good, as we were worried about putting down a glass of wine on the carpet. The balcony needed a good clean,as there were cobwebs everywhere. But I quite understand if cleaners left them for the swallows feeding under the eaves. Other than that the apartment is stunning , very spacious, and very comfortable. The welcome pack of food was a lovely surprise. It was situated in a wonderful location with amazing views from the small balcony. .We would come back again, if the driveway was not so bumpy. But don't think the drive down the lane to the apartment did my neck any good. Definitely need a 4x4 or a land rover.

"We really enjoyed our week in the Lower Norton Apartment."
It was nice to arrive at a clean, comfortable and spacious property that enjoyed amazing views over the surrounding countryside. The welcome pack was thoughtful thank you! Our dog loved the enclosed garden big enough to throw her ball. We explored the surrounding towns / villages, and walked to Dittisham from this property, which had lovely views en route to a nice pub by the water. The access farm track didn’t bother us - took it carefully, and avoided the few potholes. We would definitely like to return!

"This is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle."
You feel as if you are tucked away in the heart of the countryside, yet it is only a short drive away from Dartmouth, and even closer to two supermarkets (Lidl and Sainsburys). The apartment was very warm, comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view from the little balcony. Perfect for one or two people. My dog absolutely loved having her own dedicated, giant, grassy garden to sniff and play in. It had a table and seating there, which I am sure would be lovely to eat at in the warmer weather. Sue was very welcoming and helpful and nothing was a problem. The welcome basket was very generous and I really enjoyed munching my way through the contents. Thank you. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage space for clothes and bags. And a very comfortable bed. You will see other visitors have commented about the access road, Yes, it is narrow, bumpy and twisty and you need to drive slowly and carefully, but my Renault Scenic coped fine, even fully loaded. So please don't let that put you off. I am very happy to recommend Lower Norton Farm Apartment to you.
-
"Absolutely stunning place with beautiful views and great for my puppy too!"
Only niggle I had is that the drive down to the apartment was a very steep, rough and bumpy trail which I wish I had been pre warned about as my car only just survived it! Other than this I couldn't fault anything.
-
"Beautiful and quiet ."
Nice apartment and had good facilities . Only issue would be the drive for small cars but apart from that the location is stunning .
-
"The apartment was lovely, great views."
Kitchen was very basic but was ok for me as my friends were staying in the main house so I could use their facilities. Access road was impassible without the use of a 4x4 or on foot. Had to park my car elsewhere and rely on friends to ferry me back and forth.
-
"We will love to revisit."
Apartment is gorgeous with plenty of room. Greeting pack was excellent. We felt safe. Thank you for letting us enjoy.
-
"Apartment was perfect in cleanliness, facilities and welcome basket of essential items, milk and butter plus goodies!"
Extremely spacious with large TV which proved invaluable during Wimbledon week. Road to apartment quite rough and bumpy being well off the main road. for us, perfect as visiting family close by.
-
"Welcome pack was a nice touch, kitchen was fully equipped."
Nice views out over the area. The track down to the house was OK for my car, just needed to be careful in a couple of places. Would stay there again.
-
"This apartment is spectacular."
The views from the balcony are lovely and although you are so close to a large town it is incredibly peaceful. The apartment was immaculate and incredibly roomy. The welcome pack of milk, wine, scones, clotted cream, cereal, cake and tea coffee and sugar were delightful and were all used. The owners were easy to contact to deal with. This apartment was central to everything we wanted to do and I would highly recommend the Steam train and Paddle steamer trip from Dartmouth/Kingswear although I would recommend using the park and ride as parking is difficult in Dartmouth. A couple of small details, although it is only for two people a couple more plates and more cutlery would be helpful. The main issue is the track to the property. We kept bottoming our car (which isn't particularly low slung) on the uneven surface. If the track could be sorted we would definitely be booking again.

"Lovely apartment in a beautiful spot."
Very quiet and peaceful. Be prepared for a very bumpy approach to the house . . . . the bridle path is about half a mile long. Check where to park as neighbour may object. Welcome pack was a great idea and scones and clotted cream were delicious. We would love to return to stay at the apartment and explore more of this lovely part of the country.
-
"Fantastic apartment, huge with amazing living space."
Great tv in main room and bedroom. A massive thank you for the welcome pack
-
"The apartment was absolutely lovely and the welcome package was a lovely surprise."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay would recommended it to anyone who wantd a quite but convenient place to stay.
-
"A day before we received a text from the owners advising how to get there, a bit about their farm, that there was an enclosed garden for our exclusive use and giving a contact number if we needed to get in touch, and not to hesitate to do so."
The welcome basket was phenomenal. The property was warm, sunny, spacious, comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony was lovely and it was warm and sheltered. The situation was peaceful, close to Dartmouth and was on the bridleway leading to the path to Dittisham. The owners had no problem with us bringing our two pets so we had a wonderful relaxed holiday with our pets.
-
"Superb Apartment in a glorious setting."
Welcome pack has to be experienced to be believed! Do not be put off by the fact it is down a bridle way. Our SUV managed it comfortably. Owners go out of their way to ensure your comfort and wellbeing.
