  • "Ideal property for larger family groups."

Very clean and well equipped. Beautiful well maintained garden. The grandchildren loved playing in it. We parked in the town car park and discovered very efficient electric car charging. We had a great holiday. Thank you.

  • "Our stay at The Fernery was lovely, the property fully met our needs and the kids loved the garden."

The house was well equipped and ideal for a large group, the listing really doesn’t do the property justice. We called Sykes during our stay and they were responsive and helpful too - thank you. Colyton is a lovely village and the Fernery was a good base to visit a lovely part of Devon. The welcome gift was also a nice touch.

  • "Many excellent features."

Great position in lively village/town. Close to pubs, restaurants, shops, post office. Garden is wonderful, and lots of kids' play equipment. Outside rooms are very well equipped, especially the studio. There is no tumble drier, and the fridge is small for a big group. Lacks a small frying pan and a broom. Remotes needed new batteries.Needs more keys, especially for back door. Back gate very stiff. The interior is on different levels, plenty of stepping up and down. Could be a problem for very young or elderly. More instructions needed for the house "tech". The house book is as yet inadequate. We had a lovely stay in a quirky, interesting house.

  • "Lovely property in a great little town."

Huge garden, beautifully maintained. We liked the fact that 2 of the bedrooms were separate from the main house. The garden flat got hot but there’s a much needed air con unit. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of games for the kids. The kids loved the tv in the bathroom wall.

  • "It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at The Fernery."

It was perfect. The accommodation was absolutely brilliant. There was not one thing we would have changed. Lovely accommodation, spotlessly clean, just wishes we could have stayed longer.

  • "We stayed here for new year and loved everything about it."

Clean, tidy, well equipped, great technology, comfortable beds, great outdoor space - would love to visit again in the summer. Great service from Sykes cottages, easy to get hold of to sort out a couple of queries. Thank you.
