"Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings."
Well equipped with everything you need. Ideal for a quiet, restful holiday but also well placed if you want to get out and about around Devon.

One of the best cottages we have styed in in a while!
-

In a lovely area with walks from the cottage to nice pubs .

"We have just returned from a fab week at Plum Cottage."
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and it was very clean. It is well situated to get to all the fab beaches and surrounding areas as well as some nice walks. The drive to the main roads can be a tad scary as they are single lanes, so did a fair bit of reversing but it didn’t spoil the holiday. Would recommend Plum Cottage, it’s fabulous.

"The property was delightful and in the countryside proper."
However my welcome by one of the owners on my arrival left a lot to be desired. I arrived at the property after having driven down, completed a full day of work and then gone shopping at the supermarket. All I required was the code to open the keysafe. Needless to say I was treated as an intrusion. I have been in customer services for 42 years and we all have off days but I did not expect the reaction from the owner I received and quietly frankly will not be returning to this property.
Thank you very much for your feedback, we’re so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed staying at Plum Cottage and hope you had a fabulous time. We’re sorry to hear though that you felt our welcome wasn’t as warm as it could have been. Please accept our apologies if we gave you any impression at all that you were an inconvenience as nothing could be further from the truth. We ask all guests to let us know a few days in advance when they’re planning on arriving so we can have everything ready for you and we take pride in making sure your expectations are met. We do hope you’ll give us another chance in future and will consider returning. - Cornish Cottage Holidays Property Owner

"A stylishly renovated and beautifully maintained, well equipped cottage in a peaceful location."
A very comfortable base for exploring this quiet corner of Devon. A short walk to the Tarka Railway Line opens up lots of walking opportunities. The Duck Inn at Yeoford does great beer and food.

"Very comfortable stay."
Cosy feeling. Very quiet surroundings.

"Had a wonderful weeks stay at plum cottage."
This beautiful cottage has everything you need, it is immaculately clean and in such a peaceful area. Lovely touch by owners of cake, tea/coffee/sugar and milk awaiting our arrival. Two nice pubs, The New Inn and The Duck, within walking distance but take a torch as it is pitch black if going out in evening. Loved the walks, thank god for my walking boots! Can't wait to be able to return for another relaxing break, I didn't want to leave!
-
"Lovely stay although not long enough."
Well equipped cottage with a very comfortable bed. What’s not to like. Loved the walk to The Duck where we enjoyed good food and a lovely greeting.
-
"Very pleasant off the beaten track accommodation."
Ideal for two. Anyone visiting this part of Devon needs to be aware that they will be driving down lots of single track roads. Be prepared to reverse often.

"A little more cutlery would have been helpful to make more efficient use of the dishwasher."
TV downstairs is better than the one shown on the website but it is quite small for the size of room. Not a massive problem but for wet days a bigger screen might have been nice. Nice quiet and peaceful ideal for "chilling out". Plenty of country lanes and footpaths to explore. Cottage comfortable and clean with everything we needed.

"Lovely cottage, very comfortable."
Difficult to find, however, as the sat nav takes you only to the general area. The instructions given are good and very detailed but if you are alone in the car with no-one to read them out, it isn't easy. Sykes - the cottage is lovely but over-priced. I've just checked and as well as the email registering me with Sykes and this one asking for feedback, I received no less than 6 emails from Sykes about the booking. Too many, it's a nuisance. I will avoid booking through Sykes in the future.

"Peaceful retreat in the countryside."
A great base for exploring beautiful Devon. A stunning place to recharge and unwind.

"We have elderly relatives in Devon who, because of covid, we haven't seen."
Plum Cottage was ideally situated for us to visit them and we will book it again in the future. The cottage was lovely, as were the owners. We will return!
-
"A lovely cottage in a fantastic situation."
I really enjoyed my week.
-
"A lovely comfortable cottage in a very quiet location we would certainly use it again."
-
"Really lovely little cottage tucked away down a quiet lane in rural Devon."
Do a decent food shop before you arrive as no food shop nearby. Great walks. Fantastic food at the Duck at Yeoford. High quality finish in the cottage. I’d gladly return.

"A beautiful location and very peaceful."
Lovely cottage, perfect for 2. High quality fittings and furnishings, the bed was so comfortable. Everything was spotless. It was great to meet the very pleasant owner and thank her in person. Once again Helpful Holidays have come up trumps!! Many thanks. Mary and Andy - Bristol

"Well located for touring Devon by car, though rather a remote location."
Very quiet and peaceful with interesting wildlife.
-
"Gorgeous cottage in a splendid (isolated!"
) location. It's a fairly straightforward 20 minute walk to the nearest pub and the nearest supermarket is some miles away; take your groceries for the week with you. Plumb Cottage is beautiful; well appointed and cared-for. Thank you!
-
"Lovely well appointed stable conversion."
Much appreciated welcome tray complete with homemade cakes. However recommend shopping on the way for food supplies as nearest shop is several miles away! One of the very best properties we have stayed in. Especially loved the roomy bedroom. Beautiful rural location but be prepared for very narrow lanes! Good walking area. Train station at Yeoford only 20 minute walk from cottage with regular trains along the Tarka line to Barnstaple or Exeter and Exmouth and various stops along the route.

"We had a mini break at plum cottage and couldn't have been happier."
After quite a hairy journey to find the cottage, in the dark with torrential rain the sight of this lovely cottage was most welcome. The interior was amazing and everything we would need was there. Also the cupcakes which were left were amazing! My husband and I fell in love with the view and we became amateur bird watchers, spotting many different varieties. The log fire was so cosy and we wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we are planning to bring lots of provisions so we don't have to leave the cottage and make the most of the immediate surroundings. Also we will make sure we have our wellies! Would recommend this property without any qualms.
