  • "If I could give more than smiley face I would."

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a quiet peaceful stunning setting. The cottage was warm and spacious. The garden had a picnic bench and washing line (which was useful). Please of space for parking and The hosts were lovely. Debbie was very approachable and chatty. Will definitely recommend. And hope to return.

  • "When we arrived found bath panel removed with old sealant on floor and panel in bath so we were unable to use the shower or bath until it was replaced the following day."

Thank you for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience. I was away on holiday when the plumber changed the taps. The maintenance guy came up that night and fixed it for you so you could shower that night. Nothing was replaced except the taps. I do my utmost to rectify the situation quickly and know Gary went out of his way to manage this. Property Owner

Lovely views and so peaceful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, every thing was provided that you could possibly need . We would recommend this holiday cottage to anyone wanting a rural location but within reasonable distance to some beautiful beaches and countryside.

  • "We had a pleasant stay for the week as we know the area around is lovely and had stayed nearby before we initially had trouble getting the hot water to work but after a while it worked ,on one evening after heavy rain we came in to find a lot of woodlice crawling on the carpets which i ended up hoovering up , overall a nice place to stay."

  • "We found the lane to get to the cottage easily- then turning into the gates and, Wow what a view of the country side- we got into the cottage and was struck how lovely it was inside, very well appointed, comfy chairs and settee, the kitchen had all you need to prepare and cook food, it was delightful."

I would say that it would suit couples or older folks as it is a couple of miles from Combe Martin, Children could be a bit bored. There is also Beech Cottage, and the lovely owners will be converting another building into another cottage- the garden and field were great to ramble around- all the go to towns are easy to reach-All in all, a great place to stay for a relaxing holiday!

  • "Very clean cottage, beautiful views over the countryside, unfortunately problems with heating for water not working, had to turn on ourselves when needed, also no bags left for us to put dirty sheets in,also could not phone out as no signal, owner was a bit difficult to get hold of,but the cottage itself was great."

  • "Our stay has been amazing!"

We was greeted as we arrived and from then we loved every minute! The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and very comfortable. To wake up every morning to a wonderful view over fields, flowers, trees and hills is something very special. There was a garden to relax in as well. The proprietor and family were onsite to help with anything you might need during your stay. The cottage was remote, and off of a main road, so a car is needed, wouldn't be able to walk there, but that made it more relaxing being in the peace and quiet. Parking available too within the gated property. Nearest big supermarket was approximately 2 miles away. Really sad to leave the cottage! Thank you for an unforgettable stay. We miss it already!

  • "Our stay was 2 weeks."

Dismayed that the rubbish and recycling was not removed after 1 week, especially as the bin was an old dustbin and the recycling was only a small plastic box. Totally inadequate for a stay longer than 1 week, plus importantly these were placed between the door and one of the only opening windows, which we couldn’t keep opening due to the flies. The fridge, on arrival, was dripping due to the thick ice build up in the freezer compartment. For the rest of our stay the fridge door wouldn’t close properly therefore food, milk etc did not stay fresh. Otherwise a cosy ,warm cottage and one of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed in. Finally a suggestion that perhaps a small table could be placed near the settee so drinks can be placed on it while reading watching tv etc.

Thank you for your feedback. We did ask if you wanted to have the cottage cleaned with the sheets changed but you declined that offer. The dustbin is not old but brand new, just like most items in the cottage which has been totally refurbished. In the book, we leave a number which you can call for any issues you encounter but you chose not to let me know about any of these until I have seen them on this site. If I don’t know about an issue, I cannot rectify it. Property Owner
