  • "The loft is a beautiful and very tasteful barn conversion."

Although clean and comfortable, we missed a few basic essentials in the kitchen, like dishwashing liquid, a teatowel +dishcloth, scissors etc. A manuel for the oven would have been handy. And a few extra cups and plates. Wifi was fast and access to Netflix and Prime appreciated. It has no private outside seating area. The pictures on the website are from the owners patio. You are welcome to use the owners chairs & garden though.

  • "Peaceful cottage, lovely renovation and decoration, Netflix and prime, well equipped kitchen, good shower, v clean and lots of storage."

Friendly owners. It’s a handy location for the coast path between Plymouth and bigbury. Not so many great beaches on this stretch although Westcombe and Mothercombe were stunning. Some books of local walks and map provided. Also close to Dartmoor. Would suit anyone working in Plymouth. There is a cockerel that kicks off at 6.30am so bring earplugs. The key kept getting stuck in the lock so had to leave it unlocked - on-site builder said lock needs replacing. Would welcome a tin opener, clothes airer for swimming gear/wet waterproofs and a microwave please.

Family who lived on site approachable, helpful, friendly and all of them a delight to speak to. Location good for village amenities and bus to Plymouth.

It was very comfortable, clean and well equipped and in a lovely quiet location, yet handy to the coast, countryside and city. The owners, who live on site, were very kind and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to be back again. Thank you.

  • "This apartment is tastefully converted from an original barn, splitting into two holiday lettings."

The Loft is accessed via a few outside steps, so is not suitable for those with mobility issues. We were delighted with the layout and modern equipment, including underfloor heating, induction hob, cooker, dishwasher and waste disposal unit. The whole living/dining/kitchen area is open plan with original beams in the ceiling. The owner clearly has impeccable taste as the decor, in soft grey tones, together with various art paintings was aesthically easy on the eye. The bedroom with en-suite shower room was comfortable. The owner had greeted us with a bottle of red wine, coffee and tea, which was much appreciated, when we had yet to locate local shops. There was plenty of information about local walking and amentities. The only slight niggle was there did not seem to be recycling operating, so we were left to pile all recycables in a bag at the door before we left, ready for disposal. Richard the owner had advised us he was away from the site and there would be someone to hand if we needed any help. Instructions on the use of the cooker would be helpful as for us, not used to induction cooking, it took a few attempts to get it right. Overall we would highly recommend this property for a couple without children.

  • "Lovely property with very friendly, helpful owners."

Beautiful garden and facilities, unfortunately for us the weather was disappointing, we didn't get to enjoy the heated pool. Property nicely situated for visits to coastal villages and many coastal walks. The local pub for local people was basic but welcoming. Dogs welcome too. Dear owners, it was lovely meeting you and of course Badger the Bog ! If I was to make one suggestion maybe a little more crockery and a good dose of sunshine :) Thank you from all of us, S, S and the woofers!
