  • "Owner and maintenance guy were both lovely and friendly."

Had a small issue with hot tub on night 1 but it was seen to straight away. They were lovely to chat to giving ideas on things to do locally. The beds were very comfy I slept like a log every night. Hot tub was so relaxing. Shower was beautiful. Has great facilities within the property such as WiFi, smart tv in both bedrooms and lounge, underfloor heating and cooling, thermostat in each room and cooking equipment. Lovely reading their guest book of reviews. There’s a few games provided. Definitely recommended! Photos are accurate and they have since added a side gate as requested by previous holiday stayer. Booked again while we were there for next year. ❤️

  • "A lovely cozy little hideaway."

Exactly as the pictures show. Ideal for the two of us and our 2 labs. Not so sure how comfy it would be for 4 adults but we loved sitting on the bar chairs at the island to eat and play cards. Hot tub was lovely. The only thing I would recommend is some instructions for appliances and heating as we couldn’t find any. Barrie came and introduced himself and asked if everything was ok which was really lovely. Overall a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely come back.

  • "A fantastic property with a wonderful location enabling one to explore the coastal towns of Somerset, i."

    E. Minehead and Weston-Super-Mare are both easily reachable. Very well thought out property with a lovely farmhouse feel throughout. I love open plan living for an holiday to ensure sociability with the family. Appreciated the effort the owners went to to ensure the property is equipped with pretty much everything for a week’s stay. Only a hairdryer was missing, only because my wife forgot hers. Really happy all in all, thank you!

  • "Absolutely loved our stay at The Nest, very peaceful location and great for exploring, the facilities in the cottage were great and exactly how described, the fixtures and fitting in the cottage are first class, you can tell there’s been great thought put into it, a couple of issues completely out of the control of the owners, both of which put right very quickly by Barrie who was so good."

The dogs loved the garden and the beach which was really accessible from the cottage.

  • "Really lovely and well equipped little annexe cottage."

Everything clean, new and good quality. Great deep hot tub and safe garden for the dogs. Be aware though that you can hear the motorway that is close by. It’s fairly quiet but constant. You sort of get used to it but it’s there the whole time. Barrie was really friendly and helpful and popped over when we needed a hand. Unfortunate that the bedrooms don’t have windows and were stuffy even when weather not so warm. They should have at least fans if not air con. Also the single beds are small singles and probably only suitable for children. I am only 5’3 and it was really too small for me. The bathroom and waterfall shower is lovely - could use a hanging shower caddy to put products in. Sofa is a 3 seater but probably only really comfy for 2. Despite technically being able to sleep 4 I would say really just suitable for a couple. Overall a lovely stay near many wonderful places. Highly recommend walking the Quantocks and also Berrow beach is amazing for the dogs all year round. The food available just down the road at Pynes of Somerset butcher and shop was delicious and great value!

  • "All 4 of us enjoyed our stay, however, this property is not really big enough for 4 adults, with only a 3-seater sofa in the lounge and 2 sun loungers, it was a good thing our friends were going camping the week after and had 2 chairs with them otherwise it would have been a morning race for the loungers."

The garden was nice size and and safe and secure for the dogs, which was great because my dog is a great escape artist. The hot tub needs a bit more regular attention as it was murky on a couple of occasions and the freezer was playing up and kept defrosting itself, we reported these little problems to property maintenance and Barrie was really helpful. A real downside was that the 2 bedrooms had no windows (this freaked me out a bit as I sleep with windows and curtains open at home), we visited during one of the warmest weeks and could not close the bedroom door as there was no air flow and it was hot and very stuffy. Anyways, all that said, we did have a lovely holiday and The Nest is a great central base and we visited so many local places.

  • "We had a fantastic week at the Nest."

Barrie on behalf of Andy went above and beyond to ensure we had the best week. We had 2 dogs with us and one is a sausage dog so there was room for escape under the back gate. Within 2 days of noticing we had made a make shift block with garden chairs someone came round and fitted some fencing to close up the gaps. Barrie and Andy were so keen to adapt to customer needs so they could provide the best for them. Really really nice to see. We will for sure be back at some point as the nest is a great base to use to explore Somerset, the Quantock Hills and the surrounding beach towns which are all within an hours reach. Highly recommended the steam train to Margate and dogs are allowed on board. All in all 10/10 from us.

Small compact cottage has all you need for your stay like everything for a positive their a negative 3 minutes from M5 so some motorway noise but that gave a positive the belt of land to rear houses deer foxes which we watched at dusk every night, this is a pet friendly cottage so don’t expect expensive fittings , only one small issue that didn’t bother us with a 40+ kg dog the enclosed garden lovely as it was is not dog secure for small dogs, again if you’re dog has good recall not an issue
