Very pleased you had a great stay at Pear Tree Matthew and of course Otis enjoyed his treats It’s always great to hear positive feedback on the cleanliness of our properties especially as we do the clean and changeovers ourselves so we really thank you for this review. • "We stayed for a week at Pear Tree Cottage and we absolutely cannot find a single negative or criticism, apart from our stay was to short!"

The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly need. The bed is super comfy and the whole place is very cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus that we enjoyed every morning and evening. The garden is super secure and with a 60kg Alaskan Malamute that was extremely important to us!! Mark and Lee-Ann were super quick to respond to any questions we had, even before our arrival which was very welcoming. They live next door but we never saw them and they absolutely respected our privacy. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Dear Amy Thank you so much for this wonderful review you’ve taken the time to feedback for us and we are thrilled to read such positivity on the property and cleanliness which means a lot when we’re doing it ourselves! It’s great to know your lovely malamute had the space and secure garden he needed. Very best wishes Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

  • "Simply fantastic from start to finish!"

The hosts were fantastic, it was easy to find once off the main road and is close to lots of local facilities. The property is well thought out, managed well and is very comfy and suited us perfectly for the week. We were hesitant about taking our dog as some places say they are “dog friendly” and don’t appear it. However, this property is totally safe for a dog to roam the garden and are welcome to come with bowl and mat provided for the dogs! We will absolutely be back again, cannot thank the hosts enough for our stay. To top it off, a perfect hot tub!

Thank you so much Kieren for taking the time to leave us a lovely review, we are so pleased you really enjoyed your time at the cottage. Very best wishes Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

  • "Pear Tree Cottage is a unique holiday home in an idyllic setting down a quiet country lane."

The owner was very welcoming and accommodating and we had a very pleasant stay. He kept in touch with us and responded quickly to any queries that we had, despite being away himself. There were however a few issues that did affect our stay such as there being no freezer as it had gone wrong, the garden umbrella being broken and the kitchen fridge either dripping water but then freezing our food when we turned it up a notch. These are mainly maintenance issues that need rectifying, although we appreciate that the owner has not had the property for long and may not be aware of certain things that need to be fixed. The property was very clean and neat and tidy, but a few bits of cleaning missed such as the patio table. Overall though we would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again.

Dear Andrew Thank you for taking the time to leave us a detailed review, it’s always so helpful to learn and know of any improvements that could be made. We’re disappointed to read various things and would like to respond to these one by one! When we contacted you prior to your arrival to explain we had learned the freezer was faulty we were on our honeymoon and at that time you’d kindly said it was no problem and that you wouldn’t be needing to use it! We expressed we were sorry this had happened whilst we were away as we had someone else do the changeover that day as people had left that morning and it was a small window to do anything about it even if we’d been home. We usually do all of our cleaning/changeovers ourselves but have to get cover when we’re away! We pride ourselves on our 5 star feed back on cleanliness and we’re sorry on this occasion it wasn’t us doing the cleaning but that our friend who took over has done it before and also had previous great reviews. The fridge seems to be completely fine when we had it checked and no other complaints and the umbrella for the garden was in fine working order the week prior when we’d done our regular checks during changeovers so we were unaware and unsure how it had broken which was then immediately replaced. Thank you for recognising though that we were new to taking over the business and we are glad you did have a nice stay and break. Very best wishes Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

  • "We had a really peaceful time at Pear Tree Cottage."

Tastefully presented and clean, with all we needed to enjoy our five night stay. Good communication from Mark which made us feel we could call on him if needed. The hot tub and the walled garden was a draw to us which didn't disappoint. A lot of properties state that they have dog friendly gardens but aren't in reality, Pear Tree Cottage really is safe for dogs.

Thank you Tricia for your review, we really appreciate you taking the time to do so, we are very pleased to know you had a great stay and enjoyed the cottage. Take care Blessings Lee-Anne & Mark Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property, very quiet and peaceful, the only thing you can hear are the birds and cows."

Mark and Lee-Anne were very friendly and helpful, the welcome pack with biscuits and strawberries etc much appreciated and the dogs loved the treats. The facilities were like a home from home, our dogs really loved the garden which being walled in was very safe for them. We didn't use the hot tub as the weather was too warm for us to use it but it's a nice addition. Big thank you Mark & Lee-Anne for making our stay memorable

  • "Had a great time at Pear Tree Cottage."

Very secluded with the walls around the property which was great for our dog, she had no chance of escaping. Liked the utility room which was great to hang all your wet gear, so warm in there. The Hot tub, what a godsend for this time of year, very warm to relax your muscles when you wake up or after a long day out. Overall a great warm cottage throughout

  • "A beautiful cottage in a great location."

The cottage was spotless and well equipped. We didn’t have the greatest weather when we were away but that didn’t stop us enjoying everything. The enclosed garden was super safe for our doggies (who want to be outside come rain or shine!) and totally private so we could enjoy the hot tub in peace. One of my favourite cottages so far of our many trips to Cornwall. We hope to return.

  • "We have been super impressed with Pear Tree Cottage!"

It’s a beautiful place to stay! It had everything we needed (and I cooked a 3 course Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings!!) and had a separate building for utilities! We really struggle to find places that are good for our dogs, lots say they accept pets but miss certain features that make them dog friendly, or compromise on the quality of decor and furniture. We found this place really was the best of both, everything was lovely and clean, and the high walled enclosed garden was a god send for us, this meant that we could let them out to toilet without having to lead them round, and we had privacy so they weren’t reacting to people walking past the property all the time. It also had a hot tub for us to relax in which is an added bonus! It’s been the best Christmas and we have been so impressed, will definitely be back!!
