. It is a little gem tucked away in a small village which is an ideal location to visit the area. Our hosts, Jacqui and Bruce have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable, although our first visit it certainly will not be our last.

  • "We had a wonderful time at The Old Bakery."

The cottage was charming and extremely well equipped. The weather was damp and chilly some days but inside we were very warm and cosy. Walking on The Quantocks so close by, was stunning and we had great trips out to the coast and Exmoor. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful and I adored the miniature ponies in the paddock behind the property. A fantastic week for us and our dog. Thank you so much.

Hi Cathy, We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in The Old Bakery. This is great walking country and you certainly made full use of that. The ponies are missing your grooming skills and carrots ! Best wishes, Bruce and Jacqui Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely cottage."

Very cosy with everything you’ll need to have a comfortable stay. The beds especially are very comfortable which can make or break a holiday if you suffer with back or joint problems. A lovely terraced garden is ideal for dogs but is accessed by steep steps to not ideal for young children or the infirm. The village itself is delightful with a village shop/post office and a pub. The area is beautiful and we were very lucky with good weather so took full advantage of walking our two dogs in the Quantocks every day. The views are breathtaking and we actually didn’t need to venture far as there are so many lovely and interesting walks within a 5 mile radius. Be aware there are sheep everywhere and also deer so we kept our dogs on long lines most of the time whilst walking. Would definitely recommend this cottage and we hope to be back again soon.
