  • "Thank you. We had a lovely stay in your super apartment."

You supplied everything we needed. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the beds were very comfortable with quality bed linen. The terrace was also much enjoyed. Our only suggestion was that an extra towel rail would be very useful when there are several wet towels after showering. Other than that, we thought the apartment was super and would recommend it to anyone.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at 2 Dartmouth House."

It is a beautiful apartment in a brilliant location, very close to all Dartmouth has to offer. The property was spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well-equipped. The patio area is a real bonus, as is having an allocated parking space. Highly recommend a stay there.

  • "The apartment is absolutely stunning."

Location, facilities, outdoor space, all spot on. Thoughtful touches such as providing toiletries, extras in the kitchen, and welcome packs were really gratefully received. The only things that could be improved, which have been mentioned before in the reviews, is the settee and the armchairs. They are very low, very hard, and the arms are too high. They are really uncomfortable, especially for the older generation - so much so - my mother couldn't sit in them at all and triggered sciatica. A real shame. The glass in the lounge door has blown and needs replacing as you cannot see out of it.

. Appreciate this may have occured after clean but due to amount maybe missed? Perhaps provide something to clean off chairs etc. chairs in living area now most uncomfortable. However, only very minor niggles. Fabulous stay, fabulous being able to sit on patio, parking a real bonus. Beds comfy, bathrooms clean and modern. Look forward to our next (4th) visit to number 2.

  • "This review is no reflection on the property or its owners, but we do have an issue with Sykes Cottages, under their guise as Coast & Country Cottages."

At 05.04 on the morning of the day BEFORE our scheduled departure, an email pinged in. As we have a family medical issue which could necessitate urgent action, the phone was on. But the message was only to let us know that we had to vacate the premises by 10am the next day, had to have the beds stripped, linen put together, the place clean, empty and restored to the condition we found it in. Having used this firm for years, we cannot believe how callous, not to mention ill-timed, this was. Surely normal working hours would be better? It spoilt our last day totally, to the point that we came home a day early. There seems to be no way of emailing the firm about this thoughtlessness.

We would happily stay again. The secure parking and a lift were great additions. There was a small issue with the heating, but it could not be fixed as we were staying over Christmas.

We knew we would return but hadn’t planned to return so soon. However when we decided to have an autumn break my husband and I both wanted to return. The property is lovely and has everything you need and more. Its location is great as is the parking and having M&S next door.

  • "Perfect location."

The outside space was lovely and a real bonus for a flat. The flat was furnished nicely and had everything you could need. We did have a few minor maintenance issues which were resolved as best they could while we were there. Our only gripe was that it clean but wasn't spotless and the single beds weren't the softest, OK for kids but not so much for adults. Please be aware that the 2nd bedroom is directly over the car park entrance and the metal roller gates are a little noisy. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again at this property.

  • "The property was clean and tidy."

The outside patio was nice to sit with a book. The property was in an ideal location, close to supermarket, shops and pubs. The only thing was it could do with more glasses. Plenty of wine glasses but not enough of others. Would recommend a visit.

  • "We discovered ants in the kitchen, but the office supplied us with ant killer which seemed to help although we were still killing them halfway through the week."

Later discovered another ant killer package in the flat, so obviously this is an ongoing problem. On Thursday, scaffolding was erected against the blue house next door. This was extremely noisy and some of the scaffolding leant against Dartmouth House. We were unable to use the patio and the scaffolding looked directly into our bedroom. As this was our last day in the flat, we were not too concerned but feel very sorry for the new tenants.

  • "The apartment was great as it was last year."

Our only disappointment this year was the patio garden. It was very neglected and tired looking. Really needs a good clean and some TLC. The garden is a bonus and a selling point, it should be better maintained and obviously hasn't been. The parking is also a very big bonus. But we still had a wonderful week. Thank you.

We were a little wary as always stayed high floor with river view. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find this apt must have fairly recently been updated. Bathrooms were lovely, no trying to squeeze into ensuite shower ( and no I am not large!). Beds were comfy. A definite plus being the patio allowing mum to sit in the sun of an afternoon whilst I went on long walks. Small issue dealt with well by office. Need WD 40 on squeaky doors and please replace the rusty drainer!. Very tight parking space ok all week with care until a huge vehicle arrived and had to park over my line making my exit hard. Already booked for return.

The facilities were very good and it was clean, tidy and comfortable. The M&S food store right on our doorstep was welcome. The parking was at times problematic with the access road being difficult to manoeuvre and the parking bays were pretty tight. Overall though, an enjoyable stay.

It was nice having a underground parking facility which had a secure entrance to the apartments. It is a short walk to the harbour and to a Food store. The decorations are well thought out and very smart nice colour design. Beds are very comfortable with a choice of two singles and a king size bed and two bathrooms. The staff are just next to the apartment if you have a problem and they are very helpful. The shower basin was very slippery but they supplied us the same day with a shower mat. just one small thing. We arrived but had to go out to buy J cloths and kitchen roll. These should be standard kitchen equipment if not it should be mentioned on the list to bring.
