  • "A clean comfortable apartment with amazing views and close to pubs, restaurants, ferries, shops etc."

My only suggestion would be a hook on the family bathroom door to hang clothes. Fantastic holiday and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you

  • "Dartmouth is such a pleasant place to spend a holiday."

Walks and boat trips This was our second stay at this lovely apartment. We have already booked again for next year. It is so comfortable and the furnishings make it feel like a family home. The convenience is an M and S store situated so near is a great help. The lovely Marina hotel is now open to the public after an extensive refurbishing. If the weather is challenging it is a great place to spend time. Food is very good.

  • "Another lovely stay in this wonderful apartment."

It's hard to tear yourself away from the panoramic view, but so convenient to take the short walk into Dartmouth too. We only hope that the provision of EV charging points in Dartmouth will improve! Friendly service as always from the staff at Coast and Country. Can't wait for our next visit!

  • "The apartment is in a fabulous location and the view from the bay window was better than expected."

The cleanliness of the kitchen could have been better - the oven was dirty and also the chopping boards need to be replaced as they all smell strongly of onion. Someone needs to check that lights are working in between guests - there was only one of the occasional lamps in the sitting room that worked and many of the bulbs in the bathrooms needed replacing. We considered contacting someone about the lights etc but for the rental price we would expect these things to have been checked before the stay and did not want to interrupt our holiday chasing maintenance issues. We had a fabulous holiday in Dartmouth despite the above but it is the little things that make all the difference.

  • "Poor shower in en suite."

No shower over bath in main bathroom. Note should be included in details saying that old people may have some difficulty in showering and bathing due to absence of grips or handles to hold onto. Surely this should be a safety requirement.?

  • "Overall very happy but there were some simple things that weren't quite as they should be i."

    E. light bulbs not working, cooker hood light not working, no white folder with details of equipment and instructions, dishwasher leaked in one corner and did not look very clean. There are small points but ones that should be checked by the team before new arrivals.

  • "Good location, quiet with good access into town."

Getting hold of Sykes Cottages by telephone is a poor to be honest. Good automated email communication, but hard to speak to a human both before and on route.

What view from all the bedrooms, the kitchen and especially the lounge. Nothing better than sitting with the bifold doors open, enjoying the view! A great location too for shops and restaurants. And easy to also explore the local area from. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

About the location

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
