"Lovely apartment ,spotlessly clean and comfortable."
It had everything you needed for a great holiday The little touches of the tea and coffee sachets and the washing up liquid etc were a nice touch .Parking on site was an added bonus The town was few minutes walk away as was a lovely pub with great food ,Would highly recommend 44 dart marina to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Dartmouth .Thank you for a lovely stay

"The location was 5 star but unfortunately property is in need of little tlc!"
There were lots of dirty marks on the cream carpets . We always take footwear off as soon as we enter a property - as we do at home - but obviously others don’t. The sofa looked very tired and there were broken tiles on the bathroom floor plus a few other bits and pieces. Having said that we did have a lovely holiday and would not want to put anyone off staying there. We hope that our comments are helpful.

"Generally well equipped, comfortable and good location."
Clean. Needs 2 new lamps in under cupboard lights in the kitchen. Other reviews have mentioned the stain on the carpet and need for a little decoration. Appliance instructions are in the cupboard under the table - we didn’t find them until the last day.

"Overhaul we were pleased with the accommodation ."
..and will return. There were some carpet stains and some damage in the bathroom..cracked floor tile chipped bath tub...badly stained work surface around the kitchen sink..which we reported to the office at the end of our stay...but they didn't appear to make any notes. On a general note..we have been coming to Darmouth for many years..sadly the town is starting to look rather neglected with weeds everywhere and buildings that need a coat of paint..the location is amazing and the town should reflect this.

"Great property, with parking which is a plus for Dartmouth!"
Issue with the heating which was sorted promptly. But please put instruction leaflets in a more prominent place for cooker, heating etc. Apart from that, great position, didn't use the car the whole weekend

"GREAT LOCATION AND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE."
MAYBE NEEDS A LITTLE ‘LOVE’ E.G. COAT OF PAINT AND RE-GROUT IN BATHROOM PLUS ENSURE ALL LIGHTS ARE WORKING NONETHELESS THIS DOES NOT DISTRACT FROM THE OVERALL FACILITIES, COMFORT AND HIGH STANDARD OF ACCOMMODATION. THANK YOU.

"We had no clues when we booked that this apartment was not suitable for people with knee issues."
The lounge and kitchen on one floor, toilet on another. So that information is crucial. Cracked tiles in the bathroom. Parking at rear, lift quite some way from our accomodation. The fire escape was closer to our car than the lift. When you get to our floor it fails to list our apartment number. We did report this at the Town & Country office. We booked via vrbl that then took us to Sykes but had to collect key from another office. Confusing.

"We enjoyed our stay at number 44, however feel it only warrants a 3*."
due to the following points: Bathroom, needs some attention, the flooring needs a replacement, looks grubby and has cracks in the tiles, lamanate would look better. Marks are on the walls, needs a repaint. The Fan is not sufficient for this windowless room, extremely hot. Living area open plan. The corner sofa is grubby and the dark brown colour is not welcoming. Kitchen Worktop has has some water damage and looks grubby. The whole place is very warm due to small windows and needs a fan, Unfortunately having the windows open is very noisy due to deliveries and a turning point, so not a good option.

"All OK except tea towels need replacing, And the stainless steel plate and cup drainer was rusty."
-
"A very comfortable property which was an ideal place for us to explore Dartmouth and the surrounding area."
Close enough for the shops, pubs, restaurants and ferries so that we could leave the car and walk. 44 Dart Marina has everything we needed from a holiday let as well as being warm and cosy on a wet day. Many thanks

"The apartment was very clean and comfortable."
It was quiet and very convenient having a short stroll to the town centre. Having an allocated parking space is also a great bonus. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

"Overall we had a lovely time."
The apartment was very good and we settled in immediately.Three minor points about the property however: The rear of the row of apartments is not attractive and the landing was covered with seagull droppings. There is a loose step at the very top of the stairs (outside). The water pressure in the shower needs to be a lot higher. There is a huge amount of noise first thing in the morning from hotel deliveries, refuse collection etc.

"This is a lovely, spacious apartment in a very quiet location."
However, the approach from the car park is unpleasant and gives a bad first impression. There is black mould in the bathroom (easily removed). Excellent location for Dartmouth.

"This was our second visit to the property."
It is ideal for a couple.

"Really lovely place and we really enjoyed our stay, but we found the apartment incredibly hot."
My husband turned the thermostat down but it didn't seem to make any difference, eventually he turned it off, but it was still extremely hot. Along with previous reviews we felt that the bathroom could do with some attention, a coat of paint and some deep cleaning of the floor tiles. And silly things like replacing blown bulbs. But it was a lovely apartment and fabulous to have a designated parking space.

"I think we stayed in this apartment around 10 years ago and nothing much has changed."
The location is great and I like the duplex layout but it’s not 5 stars! Last time we didn’t have hot water on our last day and this time round the sink in bathroom didn’t drain. Bathroom looks tired. Shower awful. Loose slab on rear outside staircase. Could be a wonderful place to stay.

"This property is in a fantastic location but sadly needs some attention."
Specifically Bedroom carpets and walls along with bathroom walls need cleaning Grout in the bathroom floor was breaking up The bed was advertised as king size but had a 4 foot 6 inch mattress and was so uncomfortable that we were unable to sleep. This caused us to abandon our stay and return home after 3 nights. Note that we have previously stayed in 2 of the other dart marina properties many times.

The apartment looked very tired requires decorations the bathroom looks very tired the sink is block the bathroom requires a deep clean thought out

"A nice apartment in a great location."
But in need of an upgrade Wooden worktops are not a good idea in a rental property they are very badly stained making them look and feel dirty. Drinking glasses need sorting they appeared to be odd pub glasses! Champagne glasses would be a good addition
-
"The picture of the apartment view was very misleading as you could only see the sea by looking directly right from the window."
The bedroom carpet was dirty. Other than that it was ok in a good location.
-
"We had a lovely stay in the property."
However, on the website it stated the bed was king size and it felt more like a double. Apart from that, great property, clean, tidy and a great getaway

The Apartment met my expectations and the staff at Coast and Country Cottages, Dartmouth were very helpful with the two minor problems I experienced

"Great location."
Well maintained property with all necessary amenities included. Comfortable sofa in lounge area. Lovely large bedroom and en-suite.

"The only couple of things about 44 dart marina are : the bed is small and very uncomfortable, the access via the back stairs is steep and would be difficult for some people to climb , the view is ok , and the balconies are non existent."
..

"We expected a bed bigger than a double given the accommodation rating and cost."
Coat hooks in hallway would be a suggestion for wet coats. Staff very helpful with intermittent hairdryer fault. We had a very enjoyable holiday in a great location.
-
"Immaculate, perfectly located and very quiet."
-
"Apartment fine, good access to parking space below."
Felt the decor was a little tired and could do with updating. Missed the river view we get when we've stayed at 36 Dart Marina but all in all the apartment suited our needs for the week.

There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town.
