• "The property is fantastic; beautifully decorated, well presented, comfortable furniture."

  If I had any complaints (which are very minor) it’s that the ground floor entrance area doesn’t match the standard of the property and sets a poor start when you enter. Also some basic sundries like tea, coffee, sugar would go a long way too. Overall, an amazing stay, would absolutely come again and would recommend to anyone.

  Hi Josh - thanks so much for the lovely review. Sorry about the entrance passageway - we are currently negotiating with the freeholder to try and improve it. There should have been teabags and coffee. In fact, I filled one of the silver caddies with teabags before I left on Monday. Will ask the cleaner what happened there. • "A delightful, central property."

  It was very clean and well appointed. The stairs leading up to the property are narrow for carrying luggage but entering into the property makes the effort worthwhile. As a frequent Dartmouth visitor, I would highly recommend Fairhaven. As usual, excellent support from Coast and Country/Sykes.

• "We absolutely LOVED Fairhaven!"

  Spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed apartment - even better than photos depict. We enjoyed being right in the centre of Dartmouth. We didn’t want to leave! Fabulous week. Highly recommend.

• "My wife and I enjoyed our week staying at Fairhaven which is a spacious and comfortable apartment located in the centre of Dartmouth and close to local amenities including a mini supermarket a few yards away It is fully equipped with all mod cons which will suit in particular those who want to self-cater."

  A couple of negatives. Overall the apartment was very clean and tidy however black mould on the grouting between some tiles in the main shower was unsightly and surprising to find. Cigarette ends (despite this being a no smoking apartment) discarded on the decking in the outdoor area had been overlooked. Finally a word of caution to anyone with a mobility issue. The stairs mentioned in the letting particulars are turning and fairly steep and can prove difficult to negotiate with cases.

• "The property was fabulous."

  Beautiful in a great location. The Coast and Country staff in Dartmouth were amazing. We arrived at the office needing a property at the last minute which they did and they sorted out a problem with the hot water immediately. Very impressed.

• "I would highly recommend the holiday property."

  Holiday property was fantastic. Great location, very central, quiet at night (apart from hourly clock striking - not a problem for us), comfortable, spacious & light. Nice decor. Kitchen well equipped (needed a salad bowl) & bathrooms great. Only 2 criticisms. 1) the stairs & entrance hall were filthy. This has been commented on in reviews before. It would take 10-15 minutes at most to wipe the dust off the stairs & Hoover the front door mat. It was reminiscent of student flat days. Gave a bad first impression. 2) Pillows were cheap nylon ones with no pillow protector. Mine pillow was yellow & a bit yuk. Given that you are still asking people to strip their own beds because of covid (slightly surprised re this) it would be sensible to ensure pillows are not stained.

• "Everything was excellent in the property."

  Very well stocked with everything you would need, beds comfortable. The only drawback for me was the stairs to appartment, they were steep and “spiral”, but this was all mentioned in the literature. The location was excellent.

• "Superb accommodation."

  Great spot, great layout, great furnishings and design - loved the terrace. The only thing i would say is advertise the difficulties of getting luggage or anything of size to the apartment a bit more. Just so people can prepare. But not an issue to us. Thank you for a fantastic week

• "Super location and the photos don't do it justice."

  Excellent facilities and great to have 2 bathrooms. Our only negative is that the bin sack in the hallway was full with extra bin bags on the floor when we arrived on the Saturday, and it wasn't emptied until Thursday meaning it was really smelly in the stairwell. Not sure if this was the normal collection day?

• "This was our fourth stay at Fairhaven and it didn’t disappoint!"

  There were even a few improvements on the previous visit such as bedside units in the main bedroom and expanding airers in each room.

• "The accommodation was excellent, it looked great on the photos but was even better in real life."

  The rooms were all spotless and the facilities were excellent. It’s location was right in the centre of Dartmouth and we really couldn’t have asked for anymore. In terms of minor frustrations we were expecting a coffee machine and the use of a hair dryer (both mentioned on the site) neither was available. Not a major inconvenience but it may be worth amending the facilities section if not available. I also need to give a mention to the Seagulls - there are so many, again nothing to do with the property but there are literally hundreds and I can be a little noisy. We would definitely recommend our family and friends to stay here in the future. Thanks for letting us stay at your amazing property.
