"Warm, welcoming, cosy flat, exactly what we wanted for a relaxing, battery recharging week!"
Well equipped kitchen, cosy bedroom and great shower! Lovely view over the Dart to Kingswear, and nice to have a just on the edge of the town feel so it was only a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend the Cherub for food and welcoming atmosphere! We would definitely rent the flat again if we are coming to Dartmoth, thank you.

Great views overlooking the river and across to Kingswear. Can’t wait for our stay next year! We found the washing machine/dryer a bit tricky in that it doesn’t dry automatically and it’s not really that clear on the front of the machine as to what dial needs to go where for drying so was a matter of trial and error! Could a note be provided to indicate clearly as to what setting should be used for drying clothes? Thank you!

"We have stayed in this property on five or six occasions and it has never disappointed."
The views over the river are ever changing with the variety of shipping and activities. Improvements to the bed and furniture were a welcome surprise and the only small criticism was the tap in the bathroom could do with a change as it is getting stiff to operate. All in all though the apartment is good value for money.

"We would not have slept on the mattress topper if we had realised at the start of the break how stained it was."
The view was very good after we cleaned the windows,they were very dirty.
The flat is in an extremely good position for the town shops and restaurants
We love Dartmouth and will returning but doubtful if it would be this property

"Lovely, well maintained flat central to town with everything you need for a relaxing stay."
Super clean, only one small issue, too hot in the bedroom, no air able to come into room due to the small courtyard, however bed was so comfy. Amazing shower.
Would recommend for visiting Dartmouth. Parking permit for car parking a short walk away. Lovely views over to Kingswear. We had a lovely stay. Thank you.

"We have stayed in this flat on 4 or 5 occasions previously."
We have enjoyed the peace and quiet and the spectacular views of the river Dart estuary. This visit was spoilt by decorating all week using power tools to rub down, ladders in front of windows and a constant smell of wet paint. In addition a new floor was being laid in a flat above. Had we been previously informed we would not have booked.

"No oven gloves or pizza wheel, visited the shop in Dartmouth and were informed that people in the past had taken the silicon oven gloves, we were informed they would be replacing them however this did not happen while we were there."
The lock to outer door key was difficult to turn.corridor to the all the properties is in need of a redecorate.
Overall property an excellent position and would visit again.

Such a perfect location, just far enough out of the town to enjoy the peace and quiet, yet close enough to quickly be in the hub of things. The apartment is perfect for a couple with all that you need. Look forward to coming back again soon

"Very happy with the accommodation and the beautiful unrestricted view of the river and Kingswear."
Very nicely furnished, loved the walk-in spacious shower and the bed had a quality mattress. Convenient for our daily walk up to the castle and stroll into town and riverside. Parking to offload and load car was an issue though as a lot of building work going on nearby meant limited spaces were taken up by work vehicles so we had to make a few trips to town car park on our final day.

"The flat entrance needs a good clean /paint ."
The flat itself needs to be dusted thoroughly ! Also the mattress protector was stained . We arrived after the office had closed on Friday and prior to arriving we were given a key code , but it wasn’t explained that the key code was for the office and not the flat which was most frustrating after an 8 hour journey .

"A well positioned, clean and comfortable apartment."
Our only problem was that the hot water system failed about two days before our holiday concluded due to a defective part and the repair couldn’t take place until after we left the property. That said the agent was able to get us permission to use the shower of the property above. Which whilst not ideal obviously helped us continue our stay.
A big thanks to the member of staff who made the arrangement and we look forward to our next holiday in Dartmouth next year

"We have stayed in this apartment on a number of occasions."
The views and location are excellent. However the decor is in need of some upgrading now and the chair and sofa are not very comfortable. The accommodation is ideal for a couple but we note that the price has gone up quite considerably. Not sure if this is because Sykes have now taken over from Coast and Country Cottages. There were no welcoming touches i.e pack of biscuits or nice bottle of wine which we have had previously. We note that the previous owners of the property have now sold it and wonder if this has anything to do with any of the above comments.

"Fabulous little flat, perfect location within walking distance of the town and harbour."
Parking can be a challenge but it was peak season so very busy. If you want to eat out you need to book well in advance of your stay as all the restaurants were fully booked for the whole week.

"The experience depends on who is in the flat above."
The tenants at the end of our stay were much noisier and every time they walk the windows in our flat rattled. Also someone living/squatting in the closed church/restaurant ne t door parks his motor bike on the pavement directly under the window of the flat which is only single glazed and as he only seemed to use it at night that disturbed us too. The flat itself had everything you needed and was very nice just a shame it was not as peaceful as it could have been.

"This is a super little flat with a wonderful view."
Ideal for a couple + a dog. Nice that it's on the ground floor and has everything you'd need for a stay.
Our view was spoilt by a workman's van parking outside the front window day and night for nearly the whole week. This was such a shame as the view is really lovely. Whilst we weren't in the flat all day it was a shame that in the mornings and evenings we couldn't take in the view. If it hadn't have been for this I would have given this 5 stars.
Dartmouth is a lovely place and we would definitely return.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town.
