  • "Not telling us that It was impossible to drive into Dartmouth because of the regatta was just negligent."

Leaving the updated parking instructions in the cottage was pointless as we couldn’t drive anywhere in Dartmouth. We had no choice but to go straight to the park and ride we then of course had to pay as we hadn t got the pass with us.By the time we had used the park and ride once without luggage and got to the cottage we then found the updated parking pass.We couldn t get the majority of our belongings from the car until the next day when the regatta was over.It was a very bad start and with some communication from you could have saved us time and trouble. The courtyard as you described did not have bistro furniture in it.The ground was covered in green slimy stuff..We were concerned that the large windows opened so wide.Surely a health and safety worry. It should be made clearer in the details excatly how many steps there are leading to the cottage. It could easily be too much for some people carrying cases and food.

  • "Gull Cottage is in a wonderful location, just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour and in a very quiet laneway (though a little tricky to find first time!"

) The cottage is nicely decorated and well equipped though it's a shame there was no welcome pack with tea/coffee/milk etc as we are used to getting in other rentals. We are a family of four, two adults and two young teens. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and spacious enough for our needs, but I will say that the photos make the living/kitchen area look bigger than it is. If we all wanted to watch TV, 2 had to sit on the (not very comfortable) high stools by the kitchen counter as one sofa was situated under the TV. It wasn't a major issue but for longer stays it may have been necessary to do some rearranging of furniture. More towels would have been lovely but again, a fairly minor issue. I presume if we had been staying a week we'd have had a fresh set available. Great to have two bathrooms though, and the showers were super. Overall I'd recommend Gull Cottage as a comfortable and convenient holiday let.

  • "We loved your cottage and had a wonderful stay."

It was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas. The property offered everything we could have wished for. The parking permit was very useful. Thankyou. A extra blanket in the top bedroom would have been nice as you only supplied one in the twin bedded room and it was starting to get cold. Other than that it was perfect. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks again .

  • "Beautifully maintained cottage."

Very comfortable and although close to town and shops is very quiet with great views over the rooftops to the estuary. Would be useful to know that there are quite a few steps up an alleyway with no access to cars for unloading. You have to carry everything from the road up the steps and along a narrow walkway to the cottage and being self catering that means all your food as well as luggage. Once in, the cottage is amazing! Facilities wise it would be nice if there was a washing machine but understandably space is limited and there is a launderette just around the corner. Would definitely book again and recommend.

  • "I booked a week’s holiday with my Mum at Gull Cottage and we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the property to anyone wanting to visit Dartmouth."

The cottage is in a great location, close to all the amenities and the provision of a parking permit for the main carpark which is a short distance away was very useful. We found the cottage to be very well equipped and it was even nicer in real life than it appeared in the photos

  • "One of the nicest cottages we’ve ever stayed in (and we’ve stayed in a lot)."

The location was terrific and the street was magical - 100% worth the schlep to and from the car!

  • "Super unusual cosy warm cottage."

Well equipped and conveniently situated. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. Only downside was the bed was very narrow and extremely soft. In all other respects we had a wonderful week in Gull Cottage and enjoyed exploring Dartmouth and its surrounding area.

  • "Property was lovely, very clean and in a great position in Dartmouth."

Very warm and cosy. We had a wonderful stay. A minor point, but would have been nice to have a few coffee pods supplied for arrival. Easily bought from M&S, but obviously need to arrive within shopping hours or wait until the next morning! Only other point is the steps up to the cottage - no problem for us but it should perhaps be clearer that there are a number of steps from the road up the hill (gradual) and then about 5 steep steps up to the close. This could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems or very young children.

  • "Parking was an issue at the weekend when we arrived."

The only criticism would be the outside seating area, very good use of photography to make it look like it had more space.

  • "A washing machine, Freeview TV and an easy to use microwave would have been welcome assets to the property."

Other than those items, everything was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in your lovely cottage!

  • "Great stay in general, but happy to share some feedback."

    1. Please leave more than 2 toilet roles for the entire week. Should be minimum of 2 per bathroom 2. Consider black out blinds for the bedrooms? 3. Consider a fan upstairs as its extremely hot in the top bedroom
