"Fantastic apartment and location- we did not want to leave."
A couple of minutes walk into town was an added bonus with plenty of places to eat although the apartment had everything you need to cook if preferred. The views over the River Dart were very special from every window in the apartment. We hope to return.

"The apartment is so spacious, with amazing views from all the windows."
Great thought has been given by the owners to what people might need during their stay. A plus is the nearness to the 'corner shop' M&S just along the road. Our only regret was the lack of the lift. Otherwise we loved every minute in your lovely apartment and would love to return. Our daughter, visiting from North Devon, was so impressed that she has booked to stay in December.

"The apartment was superb, views exceptional and very clean, everything you could want from a holiday home and more."
However, our balance payment for the holiday was taken from our bank as arranged and the very next day we had an email to tell us that there was a change to our booking….the lift, advertised, was not working and we would have to access apartment via the stairs. This did cause a problem for us as we are in our 70s. No offer of reduction in charges as it was too late to book somewhere else. This lift has been out of action since June according to a resident living in Lee Court. We never complain but feel on this occasion it was necessary.

Smart and tidy apartment in great location. Bonus to have parking too. No unnecessary clutter which you often seem to get in some places. I think the owners have clearly thought hard about what visitors would like and appreciate.

"This is a large, well equipped, tastefully furnished apartment with superb views from the double-aspect windows in the lounge and from both bedrooms - amazing."
Beds very comfortable. We had a great time and hope to return. A couple of points, which in no way detracted from our enjoyment, both of which concern recycling and rubbish. The recycling bin, bottle & glass bin, and the food waste tin were unlined, no spare bags anywhere and no way we could lug all these down to the bin store - so had to purchase a roll of black sacks. Having separated items as instructed, we found that there were only two bins in the store - one for glass and the other for everything else! What was the point of separating everything??????
Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback, and I'm delighted you liked the flat, furniture and views! We'll ask our lettings agent to make sure there are plenty of bin bags in future, sorry about that. We have now been told that we can't offer food waste recycling to our guests so we'll remove the food waste bin and save you doing that unnecessary separation in future. I'm chasing down more information about whether or not to separate glass from other recycling and we'll update our bin provision and notices next time we are in the flat ourselves! Property Owner

"High quality accommodation in a lovely location."
Just two things; the single beds were far too narrow and there was no food recycling caddy or black rubbish bags provided. However, highly recommended for a relaxing stay in a lovely town.
Hi Stephen, thanks for sharing your feedback! Sorry to hear the beds were too narrow. We were advised to get a "zip and link" type bed, that could be either two 2'6" singles for children, or one 5' kingsize for adults. I agree 2'6" feels narrow as an adult! I'll ask Coast & Country to add a note to the website listing and make sure people can book the right set up for the beds. There should have been a food recycling bin under the sink (like a miniature dustbin, purple) so I will find out what has happened to that, and also ask them to stock up on bin bags. The views over the Dart Estuary were amazing. Having 2 parking spaces was a bonus and also has a lift 2nd bonus. Only a couple minutes walk into town. Just perfect

"Leeward was just the job great locating property was as discribed."
The following perhaps just prevented a 10 out of 10 score 1. Booking... The system didn't work too well kept telling me sykes Site stated Property wasn't available when your site said it was 2. Keys... We were asked to collect after 4pm on a sunday.. Took several emails and whatsapp chat to get this resolved 3. Apartment was too cold on arrival 4. Can't think of a 4 We loved our stay and Leeward would be a place we looked to return too, we have been to Dartmouth many times The local staff are great too

Keys - I think when you originally booked it was before we'd put in a key safe, and it sounds like that change wasn't well communicated, sorry. I hope that by putting in the key safe we've sorted this one for the future. 3. Heating - I'll check that the 'right' number of storage heaters are being put on in preparation for arrivals. I hope you found the portable electric heaters and were able to get the place warmed up quickly! 4. And I'm so glad you loved your stay and would look to come back, we'd love to host you again! "We have been staying in Airbnb’s throughout the UK for the last 4 months and this one would have to be one of the best in terms of presentation, comfort and stunning river views."
The owners have gone above and beyond with all their thoughtfulness. With the delights of this scenic town all within a 5 minute stroll out the front door along the promenade. Endless hours could be spent watching the river boat travel and enjoying the steam train and its memorable whistle. We absolutely recommend this new holiday let and thankyou and well done to the owners for sharing your slice of heaven.

The property
Leeward is a well-presented, second-floor apartment situated in Dartmouth, Devon.
Seated on the edge of Dartmouth Harbour, with breathtaking water views this property sleeps four and has two allocated parking spaces, making it perfect for small groups and families wanting to discover the beauties Devon has to offer.
Head up the stairs or lift to the entrance of the apartment, where you’ll be welcomed into an open-plan living/dining area flooded with light from the windows which also showcase beautiful views of the river.
