  • "We both walked into the flat on the first afternoon & both said WOW at the beautiful view from the bay window, it was & is THE most amazing viewpoint we’ve had whilst on holiday in Dartmouth & we’ve been a few times now."

The flat was lovely, the bed comfortable, kitchen well equipped & the table & chairs in front of the window is perfect for eating dinner at. The only downside was the cleanliness, the kitchen worktop was really ‘sticky’ & there was a smear of food (?) on the surface near the sink so I had to wipe it all down with antibacterial wipes, the inside roof of the microwave was/is filthy…I didnt see why we should clean it as we didn’t use it or intend using it especially after seeing how mucky it was (bits of what looked like cheese/tomato etc stuck/hanging from the inside. Both sofas have big watermarks/stains on the seat cushions & there are marks/stains on the sides & back/top of the sofa, they need an good upholstery clean to get rid of all of the stains. Plus there are scuffs, marks & stains on the walls, one on the wall in the hallway near the bathroom & a few on the side wall in the bedroom near the window.

  • "The flat was very comfortable and clean and had a stunning view."

It was close to the town centre so easy to walk to the restaurants, shops and river front. We really enjoyed our stay and felt we could really relax there. Note just for the owner, not for publishing as it is a small detail: Providing washing up liquid and cloths would make a positive difference and making sure that there is hand soap by the kitchen sink (we found some in a cupboard so used that). It will just give a sense that guests have been provided with everything needed in what is otherwise a well equipped and lovely apartment.

  • "I've been staying in this flat for over 12 years."

Never had a problem before. Unfortunately it seems that Flat 3 above has recently had a refurbishment with a new solid floor and furniture. The noise coming from upstairs was awful. I could hear music, TV, and the constant sound of furniture being dragged around upstairs. Such a shame.

  • "Did not like having scaffolding put up on our 2nd day over windows."

We paid enough for our 3 night stay. Not to have scaffold to look at.

  • "A very pleasant stay in a comfortable and well equipped holiday let ."

We particularly enjoyed the views of the river which were spectacular there is so much to enjoy with all the activity of the ships and boats and the arrivals and departures of the steam train across the river into kingswear station . Lots of nearby places to visit including a couple of national trust property’s and Buckfast abbey gave us plenty to see and enjoy . Parking at the property is difficult and could have been more helpfully explained but overall a very enjoyable stay and we would happily book again .

  • "Beautiful flat."

Lots of room for us. All facilities in good working order snd clean. The views of the river are spectacular and the flat is in an ideal position. Pity that parking is sooo difficult in Dartmouth but apart from that a really super stay. The Dartmouth Arms is lovely and very close.

  • "Suggest a lock on the dustbin as bin was filled with loose rubbish by one of the other apartments on the Thursday."

Apart from the above, apartment provided everything you would need and more. Not once did we use the TV, just sat at the window and admired the fantastic views. Great holiday, thank you. J & D

  • "Things we didnt like; communal staircase and landings were very messy, which didnt give a good first impression, could have done with a vacuum Snip on the communal door, another resident had put snip on and took us a panicky few minutes before we realised and had to ring buzzer to another flat."

Perhaps there does not need to be a snip which would avoid the possibility of someone putting it on unintentionally? Parking - the information leaflet in the apartment stated that there was a parking permit available but there wasnt. Things we liked; that view! the location, really handy for everything Cleanliness of the apartment Very well equipped

No shower anti slip mat. No chopping board. Decorators in main hallway. to the flat.. In flat above though nothing to do with flat owners or C & C we’re having work done, so very noisy starting 7.30am on weekdays.

  • "Nice well equipped flat, lovely view."

Neighbours were noisy. Parking was very much an issue with limited time and spaces near the property. The property should have a parking permit to ease this issue. This is the only thing that would prevent me booking this property again.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
