"We had a lovely holiday at Harbour Heights."
The property was clean and bright with beautiful views from the large windows in the lounge. The kitchen was well equipped and the garage was a real bonus. The property was in a great location, we walked into Dartmouth most days and there was a bus that stopped outside the property if we needed it. We would highly recommend and will definitely return.

"This property could easily be amazing but it isn’t."
A lovely new build with stunning views but it’s let down by an eclectic collection of old and presumably unwanted furniture. Our main complaint is the bed frame and mattress which offers no support whatsoever and was very uncomfortable. Showers are a bit on the snug side and although ok, one of them is quite dark and uninviting and has been badly re-plumbed. The tv is quite old so we took a Firestick, a good tip if you want anything other than basic Freeview. The bedroom curtains offered little shade so the bedrooms were brightly sun lit by 5.30am. I did make contact with Sykes via WhatsApp before we went after I had read the previous bad review but was assured that the issues raised had been dealt with. Although cleanliness was ok, the uncomfortable bed, malfunctioning curtains and the underpants from a previous guest in the wardrobe all remained. I made further contact via WhatsApp but felt a bit fobbed off when instead taking ownership of the issues, they just sent me a link to the Sykes homepage and suggested that I raised all of the issues on another web page with a different department. In conclusion, we didn’t have a terrible experience but because of the uncomfortable bed, we left a day early and we won’t be returning.

"We have stayed previously in this property, but feel that standards have slipped."
We had to change bedrooms and use single beds because the main bed was so uncomfortable, curtains in the single bed room was not hung properly and kept falling off the rail. Overall cleaning not up to the standard we have had before in Sykes properties, large bag of ice left in freezer that was solid so we could not use, someone else’s under pants left in wardrobe, place mats needs thorough clean. A good upgrade is needed. We would not return to this property unless up grades have been made.

"Comfortable and well equipped."
The garage is icing on the cake.

"Fabulous house with brilliant views especially from the triple windows in the lounge."
We got our old ford focus into the garage with no problem. A bonus was the 5 minute drive to Sainsburys and Lidl to stock up. Lovely walk down to the town and bus back stops outside the house. We had a great holiday and can highly recommend this clean comfortable house with everything we needed

"The showers were very tight but the bathrooms were both well equipped."
We didn’t use the shower in the main bathroom which appeared completely over the top for holiday accommodation. The microwave had no instructions and we managed by trial and error. When only visiting for a week, things need to be straight forward. The kitchen was well equipped but in need of an upgrade/refurb. Overall very nice - these are just niggly points.

"Thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight at this property."
..Spotlessly clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable seating and dining table and wonderful views out of those large windows. We only used the double bedroom, the bed was very comfortable, wardrobes in both bedrooms. It was invaluable to have the garage facility. A lovely property. We would certainly be happy to return.

"Quality accommodation , would definitely book this accommodation again"

"Very comfortable accommodation and spacious for two people."
Good position and we were pleased there was garage parking.

"Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbour Heights, the lack of wardrobe and drawer space in the bedroom was quite inadequate."
Absolutely not enough for a family.

"Great holiday home in a fabulous location."
Amazing views through gorgeous windows that open fully, which was fantastic. Only gripe was the uncomfortable beds and poor storage for anything more than two people. Well documented and really should be addressed. But otherwise an overall excellent place.

"Beds definitely need an upgrade!"
Double bed mattress was soft and saggy with extremely uncomfortable spongy topper. Hard to sleep in the uncomfortable metal frame twin beds too, which creek with every movement. The compact en-suite was welcomed, but the tiny sink is only suitable for hand washing. Kitchen lights didn't work whilst we were there. The garage is good to have, however is small and a challenge to park. The wardrobe stored at the back doesn't help. It is virtually impossible to park on the road, as it is too narrow. Overall, a modern, light apartment with fantastic views of the harbour and surrounding hills. A good base to explore Dartmouth.

"We loved the place - very modern, clean and spacious with beautiful views of Dartmouth and the river."
The internet was down when we got there but the owners sorted it out and went the extra mile and it was back working in a couple of days. Our only negative comment is regarding the beds - they were not that comfortable and one was a bit rickety. Otherwise all great - well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and almost perfect spot to visit this beautiful part of the world.

"This is a great holiday home."
Perfect location, very spacious for 4 people and parking which is essential in Dartmouth. Internally it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable for 4 people. It’s only faults are WiFi does not work and lack of clothes storage. Both of which have been previously mentioned and no action have been taken. Having said that the pluses far outweigh the minuses and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again

"Whilst the apartment appeared clean on arrival, it needs more attention, eg when we opened the bathroom cupboard, toothpaste was still stuck on the back and there were marks on the shelf where items had been previously placed."
We did not use the main bedroom en suite shower at all as it’s just too small to be functional for adults. The soft furnishings could really do with an upgrade and the double bed is uncomfortable and creeks with every move! The WiFi also didn’t work for the whole time we were there. I think the overview of the property needs a re-write to reflect some of the feedback provided or some action needs to be taken to fully meet expectations and avoid potential issues with occupants. On the plus side the location is really good, views from the lounge are nice and the garage is a godsend as parking is beyond limited and whilst it states off road parking this would be near impossible and the streets are very narrow! With some TLC the apartment could be an amazing place to stay for a family with 2 small children but if it’s 4 adults and there is more than 1 car it may not suit.

"We felt the property was not suitable for 4 adults I booked the property because I thought it was ok for 4 adults with the 2 bathrooms and even though it said small we didn’t expect that small, the sink is next to useless and shower cubicle very small and we are not big people."
It said parking on the road but didn’t explain how narrow the road is and that you may struggle to park, we had to lug our luggage food etc quite a distance up the narrow road and after using the car for the day struggled to park again, also our car got scratched while it was parked there very annoying. Found the double bed very uncomfortable strange mattress topper. Fridge difficult to use trying to hold the door open while sorting out food.

"The mattress was very soft and uncomfortable."
We are small people and found it sagged in the middle. The showers looked good in the pictures but the en suite was claustrophobic, the sink shot water over the floor if you weren't cautious with the tap, the main shower was way too big for the cubicle so mos of the water hit the screen, the sink in the bathroom was very badly positioned and didn't hold the water. The property was form over function. Knda looked good but practically it was filled with kitchen utensils and crockery that had seen better days. Notices around saying please use the heating sparingly were also very unwelcoming.

"Nice apartment, in a good location so it was a great base for our holiday."
It's light, clean, with good living space and fantastic views. Kitchen is well stocked with equipment. Really brilliant to have the garage as parking would be impossible! The apartment needs more clothing storage - there is a small wardrobe in Bedroom 1, but nothing apart from a coat stand in Bedroom 2. The showers are great, but too powerful for the small cubicles, and no shower mats were provided. Only 3 towels for 4 people, and no external bins to put the rubbish out.

"The house is only a year, very fresh and clean."
Amazing views of the sunrise over Kingswear - worth getting up early for and enjoying with a coffee! We had a lovely, comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again and have recommended to others already. The only thing I think that would improve would be a wardrobe in each of the bedrooms as there was a lack of hanging space but enough room to accommodate a small wardrobe in each bedroom.

Really nice place to stay all you need and parking in garage which is a necessity in dartmouth as with all Devon towns, would stay again in harbour heights
-
"A lovely contemporary apartment near the town centre."
Just exactly what we were looking for. Will be rebooking next year for sure.
-
"The property has all that you need for upto six people."
The property is well located with bus stops nearby. There is a gentle walk to the waterfront. Great location as a base for touring nearby by car or frequent bus services. This is a place I would stay in again.

"We had a lovely stay at Harbour Heights."
..fantastic location, really well appointed modern home with wonderful views from every window. The property is a 10-15 minute walk into town, the number 90 bus ,(which stops opposite the house), a welcome ride home on occasion to save the steep walk back up the hill when required! The only things we would suggest in terms of improving the facilities would be to have some blackout blinds in the bedrooms-we have young kids and the large picture windows let in a lot of light very early with only curtains. Also a clothes drying line which could be pulled out and attached at the front outside would be really handy! A great base from which to explore the wonders of Dartmouth and surrounding areas-there was so much to do and see and you really don’t need a car once there, unless you want to drive. We took the steam train and ferry trips to various places, which was a lovely change and very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and would love return and discover more!
