  Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, super equipped kitchen and extremely comfortable beds! Loved the LED lighting in the showers. It was the best rental we have stayed in round Dartmouth and we’ll definitely be coming again

  We love the town and have been visiting it for many decades. On this occasion we had the best time celebrating my special birthday! TOWH was not only very comfortable but a great find & had everything we could possibly need. It was perfectly situated with easy access for exploring the town & the local area and had a lovely outside space with a pretty courtyard garden & a car space too! There’s so much history attached to the property & it was interesting to see find out more about it in the fab little town museum! Many thanks for a wonderful stay & we would love to return to TOWH some day!

  It is brilliantly appointed, clean, and comfortable. The owners take a real pride in upkeep and their love for their house shows. The property is a convenient, level walk into Dartmouth and the car parking space is a real bonus. We had a wonderful week.

  It was very well equipped and we loved the digital showers and LED lights. The dogs loved the built in dog house and the huge tin of dog treats! Would certainly recommend!

  It’s also in very easy access to the town.My only small issue,is the parking a real bonus,,it’s best for a small car,a bigger car needs careful parking to consider the car next door.

• "The cottage is beautiful and tastefully done ."

  It’s our second stay and appreciated the treats left for us . Lovely outside courtyard which we enjoyed later in the evening as we were blessed with good weather and warm evenings. Only thing that needs addressing is the outside seating is looking tired now , but generally the whole house is very stylish and well maintained. Games console upstairs and lots of games and information about the resort in the cupboard. The house has a small parking space which is a bonus and is on the flat which is another onus . Just a 5 minute stroll to the centre. Would definitely stay again .

• "The cottage and location were pretty perfect."

  Everything in the property was well thought out and we all loved our time there. With great weather, we spent a lot of time in the lovely courtyard. The only thing we thought could be improved was the outdoor furniture which has seen better days. Most of the seats are starting to sag and one of the sofas in particular was bent in at the end meaning the seat on top didn’t sit right and the cushions kept sliding off.

  Felt like luxury, not a thing I would recommend to change and dogs loved it too. Parking and enclosed garden was a real bonus as parking looked horrendous on busy days. Thank you for an amazing holiday. We will be back.

  The cottage had everything you would need for a short stay and it instantly felt like a home from home. It was clean, comfortable and we loved the courtyard garden for lounging with a drink after a day out exploring. The car parking space was a bonus as parking in Dartmouth looked horrendous

• "The Old Wash House is such a beautiful cottage."

  It was equipped with everything you could possibly wish for. Beds were so comfortable and the shower is just luxury on earth. Our dogs absolutely loved their "Dog House" and especially the abundance of treats the were supplied. We will certainly return.

  Lovely, comfortable and very well-equipped cottage. Delicious welcome wine and fudge (we bought some Roly's fudge to bring home as it was so yummy). The location is great and the information provided by the owners is also very helpful. We would definitely recommend this property.

• "What's not to like ?"

  This must be the best-appointed rental property in the UK - quite amazing. Also characterful and within easy reach of the front. So nice to come into a place where the basics have been provided, e.g. plenty of tabs for the dishwasher, etc. All it lacked was a cosy for the teapot !

• "Our third stay at The Old Wash House."

  As ever we had a great stay. Not short of anything we needed. The freezer was so useful during the heat wave, we could keep plenty of ice and lollies. The courtyard is brilliant for sitting out and we used it everyday. It does get very hot 36 degrees according to the helpful thermometer and it might be useful to have some seating in the shadier part of the outside space. We are gutted that we won’t be staying again next year as we don’t need a property as big as The Old Wash House as there will just be 2 of use plus the dogs. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

• "I would like to share a big thank you to the owners of their cottage."

  It is the second time we have stayed in their home. A really relaxing cottage with everything thoughtout so well. I just love the showers..a complete treat as we are renovating our 16 Century house at the moment. The kitchen has everything you need and televisions everywhere are a treat. • "This is the second time we’ve stayed at The Old Wash House and yet again we have had a lovely stay."

  Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The showers are a particular highlight. Beds are comfortable and we all slept really well. The smart TVs in every room are also a fantastic addition for bad weather days on when it’s the Wimbledon final and it’s lunch time. All in all a great stay and we booked for next year before we left.

  The house is a 5 minute walk into Dartmouth was clean and had everything you needed. Car parking space is a bonus for Dartmouth and the house allows dogs too. We would have no hesitation in recommending TOWH.

• "Not only were we impressed with the whole booking process but also when arriving/staying at The Old Wash House we loved the accommodation which was very modern (even though a Grade II listed building), well equipped and comfortable!"

  The location was also perfect for getting around Dartmouth itself but also travelling around the South Coast of Devon plus having a designate parking space at the rear of the property was a real bonus. Can honestly say that it made our first trip to Dartmouth a memorable one - such a lovely town - especially as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! The "Wright Crew" can be proud of their little gem!

• "Having stayed in many holiday cottages I think this is among one of the best."

  The cottage is very comfortable and extremely well equipped - they have thought of everything. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco was a very welcome touch. The location is ideal and an off road parking space is a luxury in Dartmouth. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and could be very tempted to stay there again. Thank you for making our break extra enjoyable.

• "Spent a week in The Old Wash house, it’s a lovely 3 bed property which is extremely well equipped, very comfortable beds and fabulous bathrooms, we all loved the showers, our son loved the lighting!"

  Well set up for dogs, you can secure them in the court yard if wish to. We did manage to sit out one eve for a short time, weather was great for October! The house is in a great location for a easy walk into town, a small parking space is a bonus! We would definitely return to the Old Wash House.

• "The Old Wash House in Dartmouth is a beautiful property."

  Perfect location for getting into town and it’s a flat walk. We also had parking which is always a bonus. Everything was just about thought of in the house, if they had put clothes in the wardrobes don’t think we would have needed anything. The showers were amazing and the smart TVs a real bonus it meant we could sign into all our steaming services, Netflix, Prime and Now as well having all the catch up services. The courtyard was lovely sit out, once we found the cushions doh! a tiny niggle would be that it’s not secure for the dogs and we quickly learned you have to tie them up or hold their lead to avoid an escape. The third bedroom is up in the eves and isn’t really suitable for anyone older than a teenager, which was fine in our case as that was who was using it. Because of its location that bedroom was also very hot but there is a fan which helped. All in all a great stay and we would come back.

  It’s well appointed, clean, and comfortable and in a super location for strolling into Dartmouth. Having car parking was a real bonus, and the sun-trap courtyard was a lovely space. Thanks for accommodating our three Border Terriers - they appreciated the blankets and the biccies. We’ve stayed in Dartmouth many times over the years, and by far this house was our favourite.

  It is in a lovely position, in walking distance to town and the Castle. Great facilities, clean and comfortable. Scaffolding didn’t really cause a problem and the man working on the next door house was very friendly. Little sitting out area would be lovely in the summer months. Booking was very easy.

• "Lovely cottage, all good quality facilities required as promised and clean and comfortable."

  The gas fired wood burner in the living room was great, no mess and easy to use and made the room cosy. Great location just a short walk on the level to town. Only comments would be that the courtyard area was not dog proof which was not an issue for us visiting in November as we did not use the courtyard to sit outside but in the summer this would be more awkward as the dog would have to be on a lead when outside. Don't know how this could be addressed though with the parking spot which is a big plus in Dartmouth where parking is difficult. Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Thanks
