  • "The actual accommodation is really good in a central location."

It is so handy for the marina and the shops, so overall it is a nice apartment. However I tried to get the shower to work a few times with no success.

  • "Nice flat and nice location."

It has everything we needed. Dishwasher and washing machine are dirty. Toilet should be repaired.

  • "Good apartment, good location, comfortable."

Only issues were that there were no instructions to be found anywhere at all for the large appliances ie cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, so we had to guess what setting did what. Ironically the only instructions we could find were for the toaster, which is the one appliance for which you could do without instructions. Also, there were no black bags to be found for leaving the bedding and towels in at the end of the stay as requested, so we folded these and left them on the bed; on day one we had to buy our own roll of kitchen towel as was none although there was a holder for the same; the one small thin square of J-cloth issued for the week was not helpful; the two dishwasher tablets supplied were never going to last a week so we bought some of those too. These are all relatively small and easily rectified issues which if addressed would make the apartment five stars rather than four. Generally, a very good week was had, thank you.

  • "Was a little disappointed that there were no decorations in the flat As it was New Year we would have liked at least a few fairy lights etc dotted around the flat Also communal area is looking a bit shabby."

Carpet on stairwell is fraying. We stayed in March and it looked much smarter Otherwise a very cosy little flat in great licayion

  • "A beautiful apartment in a fantastic setting."

Perfectly situated in Dartmouth with everything you need on your doorstep. There was everything we needed and more provided in the apartment. Only downsides are the 42 steps upto the apartmemt and early morning noise from delivery drivers, but that would not deter us from returning.

  • "Lovely apartment, but the extract fan in the bathroom needs to be looked at."

It is very noisy if you get up in the middle of the night and goes on for quite a long time. Also does not get rid of the steam from shower very quickly The net curtain definitely needs a wash. Black mold at the bottom due to condensation Otherwise, a very comfortable apartment in a great location

  • "Lovely apartment in Dartmouth in a perfect location with great view of harbour."

Could be a struggle for those with limited mobility as on third floor. Apartment clean, comfortable and well equipped. Couple of issues with opening windows, loose toilet seat, hot water flow and fan in bathroom remaining on. Can be quite noisy late at night and first thing in morning with local bars emptying glass bins and deliveries arriving so ear plugs an advantage if you’re a light sleeper! Lots to see and do - Greenaway, Dittisham, The Castle, the steam train, Kingswear, Brixham…….. Met some lovely local characters and everyone was so friendly. Hope to return one day

  • "Problems at Walter’s Rest:- 1) Serious smell of cooking oil in the apartment on arrival."

Restaurant below apartment is venting cooking smells upwards through a tube. The smells enter the Children’s Bedroom through a sash window. The window can be moved to close it, but sash lock not working, so window falls down, so it is open all the time. 2) Sash window in living room can be pushed closed, but sash lock broken. This window is large, & drops down by approx 12 inches, & it cannot be closed. Cold can enter the room, gusts of wind, noise from below & seagull noise. 3) Sash window in bedroom can be pushed closed, but lock faulty. Window falls down. 4) Expelair extractor fan not working in bathroom. 5) Shower head faulty. It should be possible to adjust it to spray on the person having the shower. It sprays on the wall instead. 6) Toilet seat is continually moving when it is in use. The seat should be glued to the toilet pan, using bathroom sealant. 7) Serious difficulty in making the front door key open the door. The lock is very dry, & only needs oiling or addition of WD40 to fix it. This is a repeat complaint. 8) When unloading the car, or leaving the property at the end of stay, it is not possible to park legally in Raleigh Street. The description should say the car needs to be parked in a nearby road.

  • "Please emphasise the level of stair climbing more in the advert."

It was not clear on the amount of stairs which could be a probable for others. It was exhausting carrying bags in and out - that needs to be highlighted! Location was amazing and overall the apartment was great. Very clean and had everything you need.

The accommodation was really nice and so close to the promenade. A perfect base from which to enjoy such a lovely town. We look forward to returning at some point in the in the not too distant future.

...then it’s a perfect clean comfortable spacious apartment. Can even pop to the co-op or pick up a takeaway during the adverts! Will definitely return ourselves

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
