  • "Very clean and comfortable, this great little cottage is a perfect base for exploring the area."

Close to Dartmouth and Bigbury on Sea (Burgh Island) is just a short drive away, Greenway is a short trip over the river and the Ferry Boat Inn down on the quay is the perfect place to spend an afternoon We had a great week

  • "We had a lovely week at November Cottage."

It's clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Dittisham is a pretty village with little lanes to explore. Pizzas at the Ferry Boat Inn are well worth trying! Lots of shorter walks in the area and it's a beautiful walk to Dartmouth (little ferry to Greenway to set off)

  • "We loved the lay out and position of the cottage it ticked all our boxes."

But on the down side it was in desperate need of a good vacuum. Even though I have dogs my self I would never leave dogs hairs to the same extent . I had to vacuum the cottage thoroughly . Also smelt strongly of dogs . Well equipped with cutlery etc apart from the fact that there was only one wine glass Also would have been useful if there had been a guide to recycling policy so just had to use guess work . Lovely little court yard which was ideal but needed the plants maintained as they were taking over and the space was really over grown . But certainly a gem for the location

  • "We have stayed in November Cottage many times."

We love its location as it is so quiet. The cottage suits the two of us because it is simply furnished and generally clean. I have said before however that it is a pity dogs are allowed. The carpet is marked with footprints and there was a lot of hair which hadn’t been cleaned away on our last visit.

  • "Really nicely appointed cottage, and we liked how a manual full of instructions wasn't thrust upon us, and we were left to enjoy a lovely break!"

Very comfortable and clean cottage, in a wonderful setting. The car parking space made it especially convenient. Top tip: if you plan do use the hoover at all, do make sure it's charged up. We intended to tidy up before we left, but the modern hoover needs to charge, we didn't realise. Thanks very much for a lovely stay.

  • "We enjoyed our week at the cottage."

Possibly because no one had stayed there for a few weeks(?), we had a bit of an issue with flies when we arrived. There was no towel provided for the downstairs loo. A pint of milk and some washing up liquid would have been nice. The dining table is really, really unsteady! Very comfortable sofa and beds, lovely towels and well equipped for what we needed.

  • "The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully fitted and furnished."

We especially liked the bathroom shower. As the description talks about having tea as soon as you arrive, it would have been nice to have some fresh milk left or a few small UHT pots. The downstairs cloakroom smelt quite strongly of dog wee I’m afraid. The beds were good but a little in the hard side. The second double bed was hard to get in/out of. If you change it ever then perhaps / singles might work better. I was a little afraid of the cream carpet/furniture but with extra care nothing was marked by us. Dittisham was lovely. Thank you Jane and Jon Cook
