"Lovely lodge, amazing lay out and beautiful bit upstairs to sit."
Unfortunately the jacuzzi/tub we didn’t use. When we turned it on lots of black flies came out of the hoses.
We contacted the reception and they sent someone out to clean it which took several hours,
We tried again but still lots of timescale was coming out which seemed very unhygienic - so it was not used which is a disappointment as it was one of the main reasons going to the lodge.
It needs a full strip down and clean.

"Accommodation is the best we have ever stayed in."
Very clean, not too close to other lodges so plenty of privacy. The best part of this lodge is the terrace - loved sitting there in the evening with the views. The park is kept very well maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay.

"Lovely property and facilities."
The Sauna and jacuzzi bath are real assets.
The Chair in the cinema room has a tear in it which doesn't affect use but needs attention. Would love to visit when the weather is better!

We particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna! The chairs in the cinema room could do with some attention but did not distract from a wonderful stay at this fabulous location!

"With regard to the Cinema Room there needs to be an additional double plug to allow a firestick plug, as well as TV and Sound Bar all to be plugged in at the same time."
There needs to be more Mug, plates etc so the dishwasher does not need to be put on daily.

The outstanding cinema room and jacuzzi bath/sauna area are brilliant yo have abd why I booked again!
Unfortunately I returned to the exact same cottage, not the one I had booked due to a stressful day. I can only add that the customer service department, namely Tracy, was most accommodating and forgave my senior moment. A very relaxing break in a spectacular part of the world. We'll be back, might try the correct cabin next time!

"This is our third stay at this lodge and we absolutely love it."
The lodge is perfect. Very cosy and has everything you need. It would be nice to have a slightly bigger sofa in the lounge. Can’t wait to book again next year.

"I stayed here last week with my dog for my birthday and can say I thoroughly enjoyed the stay!"
Despite the storm, we still had some much fun. The property was super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need! I especially loved using the cinema room and roof deck with a coffee in the morning! I will 100% be coming back here. Thank you again for an amazing holiday!

"The cottage was great, everything we expected for the price but when we used the spa bath we had to get out within minutes due to gunk/mould/rubbish coming out of the jets."
It was awful. We called the receptionist to inform them and although we were offered another unit we didn’t feel that it was fit for our stay due to the the weather. It was raining and of course the new tub was outside. Also, we didn’t feel that we wanted to pack up and move to another unit for only one night. We were told that they could not do anything about it. We were not offered any compensation or discount. We were told that the manager would make contact after the weekend, now 2/3 days later and still no contact.

"Lovey comfortable property, with good facilities."
Suggestions for improvement, a parasol for the roof terrace, as it becomes hot in full sun. Also a few more mugs for drinks, so they can be washed once in the dishwasher, instead of hand washing.
Overall a very lovely place and we enjoyed our stay.

"Our stay at southern place was amazing."
The lodge was exactly what we were looking for. We usually go away somewhere with a spa as we love to relax and unwind in a sauna and hot tub but we recently got a dog and thought this wouldn’t be possible. This lodge had its own sauna and hot tub so we could enjoy our own private spa with the dog nearby.

"Lovely property."
Unfortunately as per the reviews we had black debris blowing out of the spa bath jets even after we initially ran it to try to purge it knowing it may have that issue.
Really pleasant tranquil setting. Did have a minor issue when the toilet cistern wouldn’t refil but maintenance came and sorted it promptly.
Would definitely recommend a stay here.

"The Lodge was absolutely fabulous."
Everything you could possibly need was there. We had a wonderful week there over Christmas and will always remember how special it was due mostly to the Lodge. We have already looked to book again next year but cannot make up our minds when to book as we cannot wait a whole year to return. Every member of staff were extremely friendly/helpful/professional that we dealt with. The whole experience was A1.

"We love staying here, and will return."
Few small issues jacuzzi bath overflow leaks onto floor and door doesn't shut as floorboards are swollen. Heated floor not working in dining area. Dog poo bin overflowing the whole week. Otherwise very comfortable and warm property.

"Most of the property was absolutely lovely, and we we enjoyed our stay."
However, the jets in the bath need servicing and cleaning properly as there was black gunk coming out of them. I can see similar reviews saying the same thing so it obviously isn't being maintained. This really let down our stay as it was the main feature of the property that we booked for.

"This is a beautiful lodge, really very homely."
Beautiful grounds, fantastic place. My only issue would be the hot tub, during use black particles come out of the jets and into the water. The property overall was amazing, really beautiful. Had everything we needed. My one issue for the site would be the road lighting, it was very rarely on, so when walking the dog, if you didn’t take a torch it was pitch black.

"Went to use the jacuzzi bath."
When jets were turned on bath was filled with black scum. As it took nearly an hour to fill we gave up. This ruined an otherwise perfect stay.

We were advised that when you went to use the hot tub on the last night of your stay, is when some black bits appeared, and we do advise guests not to use any products such as oils, bubble bath etc as the build up of these products does clog the filter system.

No batteries in the remotes for lighting in cinema room and broken mirror over jacuzzi bath taped up. Felt disappointed that for £1490 for a week these things had not been fixed.

"Amazing week."
Had a lovely stay, all the facilities were spot on. The roof terrace was nice to enjoy the evening sun with a meal and drink or two. It would be the icing on the cake if it had an outside hot tub. Still 5 stars and would definitely recommend and book again.

. as others have stated the indoor spa bath needs a good service and clean as when you turn on the jets , black slime comes out and ruins the experience.. for the sake of just getting it serviced and cleaned maybe once a month as per instructions it would make the world of difference.. such a shame as everything else is just perfect in the property ( we run it through to clean out the jets when we arrived and this did help but as stated it needs servicing!)
