  • "We had a fantastic few days at the old barn with three generations from 14 to 80 years old."

John welcomed us and gave us a tour of the grounds and we all enjoyed the Devon cream tea thank you. The barn is beautifully decorated, and has loads of books, games and fantastic gardens with lots of space to exercise our two dogs plus a safe fenced courtyard garden for them. The beds were incredibly comfy, plenty of hot water for baths/showers and the wood burner made the cooler autumn evenings cosy. The location is remote down a country lane, yet close enough to the pretty village of Colyton to walk or drive down by car with free parking in the square. We took the tram to Seaton and also visited Lyme Regis and Sidmouth during our stay. Our only suggestion would be to update the cutlery as some of the handles are loose on the tea spoons and knives. Overall we had a lovely time and we would definitely stay again.

  • "What a precious find - it is as enchanting as it looks!"

The Old Barn is well provisioned, perfectly located and the village of Colyton is amazing. Country walks, tired doggos, lovely little cafes, garden centre farm shops and winery’s near by. We visited so many wonderful places and got the relax we really needed. Will absolutely be booking again ♥️

  • "A lovely place to stay, and great for the dog with plenty of places to walk her."

Our stay was brief but enjoyable. The only thing which let us down was the storm, which was so bad we left a day early to get home !

Thank you for your kind review . We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay despite the storms we had . We hope you’ll return for more walks and perhaps some sunshine ! John & Sarah Property Owner
