"This is what a holiday cottage should be."
We booked last minute felt at home right away. Peaceful, quiet, clean and a view to die for. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen well equipped and modern.

"We feel the outside of the property could probably do with a spruce up."
The shower was a little hot and cold. Everything else was brilliant
-
"A lovely place to stay, the location is perfect, nice and quiet with everything nearby if you needed anything."
We just feel the outside sitting area could do with a bit of maintenance and the patio furniture could do with an upgrade just to make sitting outside more comfortable

"We found the Spanish Boathouse a lovely Location and well equipped place to stay Thankyou Maureen"
-
"Beautiful location at Galmpton Creek with amazing view from terrace and balcony."
Very well equipped kitchen and all mod cons. A real treat to have milk, butter and wine in fridge and even chocolate brownies! Comfortable bedroom and en suite bathroom. It would have helped us to have a map of location of property in relation to car park and access road. Slight musty smell on arrival but seemed to clear after opening windows

"Since COVID we have had some really bad experiences with holiday let's in the UK, the Boathouse at Galmpton has broken the curse!"
We had such a wonderful stay. The owners, Penny and Sam, clearly love what they do and put so much care and attention into this special place. We stayed for four days, two 'adventure days' and two for relaxing. We kayaked on the Dart and hiked a stretch of the SW coast path, visited the Greenway, Dartmouth and Broadsands. The weather was very kind to us so we ate almost every meal on the lovely balcony overlooking the dart. Perfect spot for a good sunset. Missing this special place already and would love to come back!
So glad it all went well Hollie and very much hope you will come and see us again. Property Owner

"Wonderful holiday home."
As described We had a simply magical time. Really restful watching the water ebb and flow. Would definitely recommend we couldn't have improved our stay.

"There should be a warning that road liable to flood (at lowest point) when high tide."
Needed to remove shoes & socks on 29th when returning from Manor Inn.

"Fantastic location and views, and we had a great break at this property."
Given the time of the year (weather getting cooler) we had some initial minor issues that were quickly resolved by the helpful and friendly folk looking after the property. The instructions on how to reach the accommodation are clear but people should be made aware of how narrow the access road is and that if you have limited mobility to ask the owners if parking could be arranged close to the accommodation as it is a bit of a climb to reach the top car parking area.

"Fantastic, tranquil cottage well presented, equipped and amazing location"
-
"Superbly restful environment by the River Dart."
Although the property is close to a boat yard and marina the peace and tranquility is not affected, extremely quiet other than the sounds of nature. Car parking is up the driveway which might put off people with limited mobility. The accommodation is lovely. Clean, spacious and well equipped with a lovely welcome pack including milk, bread, wine and fruit amongst other items. Open the bifold doors and just relax either on the patio or in the lounge and enjoy the spectacular views. Fantastic. Would highly recommend.

"Stayed at the Spanish Boathouse for 5 nights and loved it!"
The location was idyllic & peaceful being right on the river, literally! The kitchen had everything you needed, the bedroom was a great size, with comfortable bed. It’s a perfect stay for a couple (the car park is up the hill, so you have to be mobile) who’s looking for a peaceful stay but a short drive away from Dartmouth, Brixham and Paignton. Penny was lovely and welcoming too. Thank you for a great stay.
