"My family loved the location of the cottage and its ease of access to Dartmoor."
-
"The cottage was lively very comfortable."
Would definitely come again. The only criticism I would make is the issue with the WiFi. It seemed to be on a timer and there was a lack of phone signsl. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this property.
Thank you for your comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. The WiFi is not on a timer. Phone signals seem to depend on your phone and your carrier. Three, SMARTY and O2 work best here. Property Owner

"We could not come to two shoes cottage because Brittany Ferries 's boat been deleted."

-
"Perfect cottage in a great location - being near the main road did not impact our stay at all."
Plenty of space to relax and had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds. Lovely owners who left us an amazing cake and some treats for our dogs.
-
"A beautiful cottage, ideal for our family."
Loved the upstairs room which was great for relaxing in the evening and also for our granddaughter to play in. Brilliant location for exploring Dartmoor, the north Devon coast and good access to Cornwall via the A30. Lovely hosts who could not have been more welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

"The smell of damp in the main bedroom was strong and made the room feel uncomfortable."
As you opened the kitchen cupboards the damp smell was over bearing. The en-suite bath is really not suitable even though it is as stated it really does need a door for privacy. The upstairs lounge was fabulous and the saving grace. The owner was lovely and very helpful.
Thank you for your comments. We went into the bedroom at the end of your stay and could not smell any damp. It is an old stone cottage and if not aired by using the bathroom extractor fan and opening the windows in the mornings, humidity can build up. The kitchen cupboard in the corner just needed an airing as it is closed all the time. In the property summary information, it is clearly stated that it is a hip bath and you can see the curtain in the photos. Children love the bath and think it's fun! Property Owner

"This is a lovely cottage."
Although it’s near a main road the noise is not a nuisance. The upstairs lounge is a bonus, with scenic views and floor space to do jigsaws in the evenings. The downsides were there wasn’t a door on the master bedroom, just a curtain, so a slight lack of privacy. The en-suite shower had no headroom for the taller member of our party. However, the main bathroom’s shower had a brilliant power shower and we all used that one. We did set the fire alarm off whilst cooking. This was not due to me burning the dinner, but the alarm was close to the cooker! With the window open cooking was fine. The cottage was centrally located to travel to many walks and National Trust properties. We would definitely recommend this cottage. Sally greeted us with a warm welcome and the delicious cake was a lovely treat. Thank you Sally and Malcolm.

"This very lovely well equipped bungalow style cottage located on the road between Okehampton and Tavistock at the southern end of Sourton, despite mentioning this in the description road noise was not an issue."
Good off road parking and a private garden for relaxing. Really nice inside with a comfortable lounge / dining area downstairs and a further lounge upstairs with great views, a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. Great walking from the door or use the great hourly bus service between Okehampton and Tavistock for further options. The owners Sally and Malcolm live in the adjacent farm house and are very friendly and helpful. They provided a welcome tea tray with a lovely home baked cake.

"Sarah & Malcolm could not have been any more welcoming."

"Thank you Sally and Malcolm for a lovely stay, The Christmas decorations and the festive treats were much appreciated."
The cottage was perfect for our Christmas getaway. We would highly recommend the accommodation, and hope to return later in the year. The cottage was very well equipped, with comfortable seating and beds, and very dog friendly. There were great walks on the doorstep. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome

"It is an excellent place to stay."
Everything you need, and more space than we were expecting. In a great spot for walks from the door or driving to somewhere a bit further away.

"We had such a wonderful stay at Two Shoes Cottage and Sally and Malcolm are the most wonderful hosts."
The cottage had amazing character and the views from the room upstairs were stunning. We have recommended both cottages to everyone we know (we stay at Nuthatch to start with). It is really heartwarming to know holiday rentals like this exist. Thank you so much Sally and Malcolm and your gorgeous dogs :)

"We had a great stay in this lovely cottage and were warmly welcomed with cake after a late arrival."
It is even more spacious and comfortable than expected and had everything we needed. So close to the moor and several walking routes from the doorstep. Amazing views and sunsets from the top room. Our Dachshund loved the garden which was secure enough and appreciated the extra throws provided to protect the sofa. Thank you for making our holiday so enjoyable.

"Our family had the best time at Two Shoes Cottage!"
My boys enjoyed the steaming hot power shower after exploring the Tors in the rain! The log burner made the place feel so cosy! The room upstairs was lovely to sit in enjoying the view. The beds were unreal! So comfy we had the best nights sleep! The local pubs are incredible the Peter Tavy Inn had the most delicious steak and Stilton pie! The Bearslake Inn had the most yummy puddings and a letterbox to stamp! The Tors and Granite way are just on the doorstep! And to top it all off we loved the welcome gift of. Lemon drizzle cake! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
