  • "Great property, just one thing the sitting room furniture is just to low."

I'm 6 2 and getting less flexible and found the sitting room seating far to low. Great place to stay, had a lovely break

The property

Set in historic Warfleet and overlooking the Creek is this famous Grade II listed building which has been a paper mill, a bakery, an outstanding brewery and, most recently, the Dartmouth Pottery.

This attractive rear facing first-floor apartment has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining its charm through features such as the beautiful exposed stone walls and characterful beams that line the ceilings, 9 The Pottery makes for a fabulous base from which a couple or group of four can enjoy the very best that Devon has to offer.

Kick back and relax on the chic cream corner sofa as you catch up with friends over a warm cup of coffee, or snuggle up as you delight in an entertaining movie on the impressive flat-screen Smart TV.

Cross on over to the quaint yet well-equipped kitchen and rustle up a hearty snack for all to enjoy at the dining table, whilst mapping out all of your upcoming adventures exploring the coast.

Escape the excitement of the rest of the group as you unwind with a long soak in the spacious bathtub that rests proudly in the bathroom, or retreat to the peaceful double bedroom with calming blue hues and bright white walls, and discover a handy en-suite shower room.

Finishing off the stunning interiors of this first-floor apartment is an inviting double bedroom with the addition of a Jay Be folding bed to accommodate an additional guest upon request.

When you can just about manage to tear yourself away from this cheerful abode, be sure to head for the centre of Dartmouth where you can take a tour of the Dartmouth Museum and wander the well-kept lawns of the Royal Avenue Gardens.

Explore the 16th century fortress of Bayard's Cove Fort or take a short walk to the imposing Dartmouth Castle to learn of the town's rich and exciting history.

Sink your toes into the soft sandy shores of Sugary Cove Beach, before popping on your comfiest walking boots and embarking on a thrilling hike along the rugged cliff tops of the South West Coast Path.

Those travelling with little ones will relish in a day out at Woodlands Family Theme Park or Go Ape Haldon, just a short drive away.

Nicknamed as the English Riviera, Paignton and Torquay boast unrivalled views of the English Channel and are filled with an abundance of attractions and exciting landmarks all waiting to be explored.

Where you’ll be staying

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
