"Lovely spacious lodge with good facilities."
Quiet and Clean site and nice to be able to walk the dogs round the fishing lakes. Only negative the front windows needed a good clean and lodge would benefit from an injection of colour, ie cushions and/or some colourful canvases.
-
"The Lodge was lovely and clean and tidy and on the message app the owner of the Lodge was very helpful as had a few questions as the greeting book was missing on arrival."
Lodge was very comfy and plenty of towels and extra facilities inside the Lodge to use loved all the walks around the site and seeing the animals on site as well

"Would like to return again."
..went to use hoover to hoover up but hoover smelt really bad,no instructions on how to turn heating on as we had a couple of cold nights, washer dryer good idea if dryer only dried clothes, very uncomfortable mattress on bed in main bedroom, WiFi would be a real bonus

"Clean & quiet site."
Excellent location to travel to the East & West coast Great fishing pools with plenty of fish to catch Cabin was equipped with everything we needed Definitely stay again
-
"Property as listed, spotless especially on a dog friendly lodge, ideal for getting away from it all, great walks in and around the woods and lakes."
Lane to sight very rough but obviously beyond owners control, no Internet or on site facilities, not a problem as it was only a short drive to nearest town. Owners very friendly and helpful.

"We had a lovely stay in the lodge over Easter , such a lovely place to relax The lodge had everything we needed , lovely walks around the woods and the fishing lakes ."
Nick and Tracey have done a fantastic job, they have a co-op in the next village, we had a lovely day going over the moors and lunch at the two bridges . We would definitely book up again.

"Firstly this is a lovely lodge, comfortable furniture etc and on the surface clean but on closer inspection there are a few cobwebs with dead insects in the lounge, Can I recommend the toilet brush, loo roll holder and bin be replaced they were terribly rusty and not a nice look for a lovely lodge."
The three saucepans in the kitchen are totally unusable as someone in the past and it is in a previous review regarding the non stick being badly scratched, they really need replacing. A welcome pack would have been nice as there where no instructions on how to use the central heating, or the dish washer. The lane to the lodge is a one track lane with some nasty pot holes, be aware if you drive a low vehicle or low profile tyres. Also the lodge has a number but no name plate Sykes need to add the lodge number to the listing
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, everything has now been replaced Property Owner

"We had such a lovely stay!"
What a beautiful lodge! We are huge coffee drinkers so a cafetière would be handy :) Thank you!

"Outside, the lodge looks really promising, but the odour inside was horrible, smells like dog's urine."
Carpets were very dirty, as well as duvets and pillows, covers were fresh. Good equipped kitchen, but the pans need to be replaced(scratched Teflon is cancerous). I've never seen such a dirty windows covered with spider webs and dead creatures.

Lovely owners will certainly come back.

"We had a good week and enjoyed the peace and quiet."
We found the Lodge very well equipped and comfortable and the owner friendly and helpful. In the arrival details it might be helpful to have the lodge number (4) as well as the Woodpecker name (the instructions for getting to Legge Farm site were very clear indeed.) We would recommend that the Syke's site listing indicates that there isn't a wi-fi connection and the info on things to bring should include a hairdryer.

"The lodge is well off the beaten track although it is classed as a road!"
The lodge was very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The utility area was very useful and the lodge comes equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. The site is very quiet with lovely walks around the fishing lakes. We liked the lodge so much we could have stayed longer. We would definitely like a return visit at some point.
