"Beautiful period cottage with stunning views of Dartmoor, in a very rural location."
In easy reach of Bude, Tavistock and several beautiful gardens and National Trust estates. Comfortable beds & sofas, spacious & cool interior; plenty of room for 2 people. Good wifi, but currently no information about it in the cottage. There are 3 floors - the kitchen has 10 deep stone steps up to the living area, and a wooden staircase to the mezzanine bedroom. We had some issues with the accuracy of the Sykes/owner's description, however. The bathroom is not ensuite to the family bedroom as described, but downstairs, which can be tricky at night. There is no dishwasher (not an issue, just inaccurate), the DVD player has a broken hdmi cable so doesn't work. The bathroom needs a bit of TLC, especially the loose floor tiles and toilet flush. The electric is via a coin meter for which you need £1 coins - we only used £5 for the week, and the friendly owners are happy to provide change if you need it. Approach to the Farm is down 3 miles of single track road, but this is typical of the area! Despite this we had a fantastic holiday with gorgeous weather.
Hi Hayley, Thank so so much for your great feedback we have made sure to be in sync with Sykes regarding the description of the cottages so as to not confuse anyone going further. We have had our maintenance team get fix all the problems you listed, We hope we see you again! Property Owner
