"Little Rowan is a in a peaceful, quiet, rural location which we enjoyed and it was a good base for exploring the area."
The welcome gift was a lovely touch which we really appreciated.The cottage was well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Janet was an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful and gave us tips about where to visit which enhanced our stay.

"Our stay at Little Rowan was relaxing from the moment we arrived."
The hosts were very welcoming and available should we have needed them. The property was in superb condition and cleaned to an exceptional standard, with so much provided ahead of us getting there so we could get the kettle on and offload and unpack at our leisure. We had plenty of space for our family inside and outside, and it was very pet friendly for our little dog to be able to stretch his legs. Thank you Janet, Keith and Drago for making our first family holiday away in over three years a truly relaxing and lovely experience.

"We enjoyed our stay at Little Rowan."
It was clean, the bed and sofas were comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. Janet & Keith were great hosts; friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit in Devon and Cornwall, and nice and quiet. It was interesting to watch the llama in the field next door from the lounge window.

"Very nice annex, excellent directions so we went straight there."
Everything we needed was there. Used 2nd bedroom as a dressing room as no hanging space in main bedroom so I would recommend only for a couple. We were a bit surprised that the double bed is 4ft not full size double but we managed ok.

"We have just had a very pleasant stay at Little Rowan."
The accommodation is very clean and bright, well appointed and very comfortable. Everything is there that you need in the kitchen area, and it also has a very handy, and spacious utility area with washing machine and dishwasher. The beds were very comfortable. It is situated in a quiet area, surrounded by beautiful countryside. A lovely welcome pack greeted us on our arrival, milk, biscuits and cider much appreciated.
Janet and Keith were very good hosts, interested but not too intrusive. They have a beautiful dog, Drago, who is generally around to greet you back each evening. They had advice on where to go etc and the house contained a lot of relevant information about the area. Thanks to them for the advice on the journey home regarding traffic, it really worked! We were very fortunate to have sunny settled weather whilst there, and visited many places in Devon and Cornwall. We went to Appledore, Clovelly, Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac. All accessible from the house in around 45 minutes. Would definitely recommend, and would love to go back sometime.

The cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped. Rowen Farm Park is off the beaten track but it was just what we needed for a quiet and relaxing break. Janet was very kind and helpful.

"We had such a lovely stay at Little Rowan!"
Was a real home from home, the space was clean and comfortable, perfect for a family of 3, plus doggie! They have really thought of everything. Welcome treats for all on arrival, milk, tea/coffee, biscuits (and dog biscuits!) and cider was a lovely touch after a long journey! Bedrooms are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed, even down to tinfoil which is perfect for taking out picnics. The utility room is a big bonus, and a great space for coats, bags and somewhere for our dog to sleep at night. Janet was so friendly and helpful, with great advice on the local area for days out. Make sure you check out the photo album of all their visits to local walks etc. The garden out the front, and the views are beautiful and again great for the dog! We had our 20 month old son who loved running around and bah-ing at the sheep!! We really had the best week away with you! Thank you so much for sharing a part of your beautiful home!

If anyone is looking for a relaxing, comfortable cottage, well maintained and spotlessly clean, in a beautiful area of Devon, this is the one. A generous welcome pack awaits you on arrival. Your hosts are attentive without being intrusive and are a good source of knowledge regarding places to eat, visit or attractions within comfortable driving distance. Thanks also to the resident four legged security, Drago, who greets you from behind the fence on your return, he’s lovely and gentle. Any budding astronomers will benefit from the expanse of Dark Sky in the area. The weather was a little unkind, but it was March, and it didn’t stop us going out every day, and then returning to the warm of Little Rowan. Thanks again Janet, everything was perfect.

The cottage is in a lovely location, well equipped, cosy and beautifully furnished. Our dog was also made very welcome, even had her own welcome kit!

"A beautifully presented cottage that is cosy and very clean."
The owners gave us a very warm welcome with delicious goodies for us to share. They were also on hand with advice for local places to eat.
The huge front garden was dog friendly with plenty of space for my furry friend to explore - he even had his own treats!
Everything we needed was there for a perfect break away.

"Had a lovely holiday."
Janet and Keith were so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Accommodation was one of the best places we have stayed in. Very clean, comfortable, relaxing. Everythink was there that you would need. Janet and Keith even left us some milk and groceries for when we arrived. The location was central, 30 mins to Bude, 1 hour to Dartmour, 1.30 mins to Looe in Cornwall
Would highly recommend staying here.

A delightfully rural village in the heart of West Devon’s green and undulating countryside. Surrounded by lush meadows, high hedgerows, wooded valleys and abundant wildlife, the village and area is popular with those visitors seeking to experience a true taste of country life. Roadford Lake with its sailing, fishing and visitors’ centre is just 4 miles, while the rolling surf, night life and sandy beaches at the closest resort of Bude, are within 20 miles. The RHS Garden at Rosemoor, the Dartington Glass Factory, and the rugged tors and open spaces of Dartmoor also make superb days out and can all be reached in under 40 minutes. If heading for Dartmoor look out for the pretty moorland villages of Belstone and Sticklepath - they will take your breath away. Those seeking a real countryside experience away from the bustle of modern living need look no further.
