"Did not enjoy our stay."
Accommodation on the ground floor very dark and dismal; poor welcome pack, one pint of milk and out of date tea bags. The outside space which we believe was desribed as a patio. It is not. It is a small, mucky yard without a roof. Who would ever sit out there? Fridge left on "holiday" mode, which we did not see for a while, resulting in contents going off. A note telling us would have been nice. Despite contacting Sykes and telephoning an estate agent and tourist info., the parking is a nightmare. We did eventually find a space, but just not good enough. Explaining about the parking in the Welcome Book if not ridiculous, would be funny. We had to find a space, before we could read it. Very disappointed, will not be using Sykes again.
Thank you for the feedback, did you not look at photos before booking the cottage, its a fishermans cottage around 200 years old, not sure what you expected, majority of Brixham like it! Parking is the same around Brixham but large carpark around and one at bottom of road, perhaps do research in future for you book anything, not sure what you want in a welcome pack, I will get my cleaner to have a look at teabags but always new ones put out, maybe it was someone else who had left them in cupboard, we will rectify this! Fridge again i will ask cleaner to check this, thank you! I do hope you enjoy you holidays in the future wherever that maybe! Property Owner

"Quite spacious cottage ,its location is on a higher part of brixham great if you have no mobility issues ."
There is no parking so if you looking for free parking a little walk to find a space on roads without charge can be challenging but you will find one with a walk but you can park and un load /re load outside near cottage . Only issue and it’s minor was the TV reception in not reliable you can lose reception at any time for hours quite frustrating if TV is important to you . Generally this cottage is good value for money ,don’t expect big views or ultra luxury accommodation but it’s clean ,tidy ,spacious and affordable giving you good quality accommodation..
Thank you for the feedback, sorry to hear about TV reception, we have never known this before or had any comments regarding this, the only thing i can think of is maybe the seagulls on the aerial might have knocked it out?? Property Owner

"Really pleased with stay."
Property clean, well equipped, great location and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. 10/10 Only one minor pointer is use of too many air fresheners throughout, however this is only preference as I'm quite sensitive to them.

"Spacious comfy and clean great location"

"Missing clearing in front of the house and the outside place near the kitchen."
We reportet a missing remote control in the livingroom to Sykes but notering happend. Parking was hopeless.
Thank you for the feedback, I have contacted Sykes Cottages who have confirmed that no contact was made, if contact was made, we would have rectified this for you. I have spoken to my cleaner, who said the remotes where there so not too sure what this was for? Parking in the summer months can be difficult all around Brixham due to the popularity of the seaside town, there is a massive carpark located not far from the cottage which most customers use and never have a problem. "We have had a fabulous week."
The property is lovely, clean and comfortable. Great location and views. Will definitely be returning.
-
"Loved our stay and found the cottage itself was so comfy and clean , it had everything you could wish for , the only one criticism we could find with the place and this is genuinely the only one I wish the description of the outside area was more accurate it did say it had a garden - this is just a small square and not a place a family of four could sit out on an evening !"
But as stated above we would definitely return ! Brixham we’ve had a blast

"Lovely comfortable stay at Pebble Bay cottage."
Felt very much at home here , look forward to coming back one day.
-
"Parking is a major issue with this property, all on street parking nearby is time limited to 2 hours between 8am-6pm (I got one parking ticket during my stay) the other parking alternative is a pay and display carpark about 1/2 mile away."
Pot luck with any other parking options. Outdoor seating area tiny, totally unsuitable for a property that sleeps 6 people, this area was also very dirty. Other than that the property was lovely and we enjoyed our stay in Brixham.

"Excellent property"
-
"Really great cottage with all the home from home comforts."
Great location. Will be booking again!
-
"More info should be given with regard to location of property."
It is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty walking. It is more than a 2 minute walk to bars and restaurants. The parking is also an issue, we had to park on a pay and display which was some distance uphill to the property

-

"Lovely clean cottage with everything you could ask for including dishwasher ..."
Lovely clean cottage with everything you could ask for including dishwasher tablets and wash capsules which I wasn't sure whether I needed to take or not couldn't ask for a better house so cosy Only downsides were that there wasn't a garden would've been lovely to be able to sit outside, parking is a nightmare and definitely isn't suitable for anyone with mobility issues as its up on a hill with around 4 lots of steep steps to climb

"Pebble Bay was what we expected and more ."
.lovely and clean ....spacious and perfect for break away ....we waited 1 hear for this and well worth it . The only thing that did both us is no parking places....but on arrival ....you cannot park in front of the house . We off loaded our bags and drive up the road to park!

"Downstairs floors appeared not to have been hoovered, no milk left in fridge, one of the Bath towels had Bleach mark stains on it, large cobweb in between bedroom curtains, main bath appeared to have fluff/dust in it along with a hair, outside courtyard wasn’t inviting and also the bedding and duvet had a musty smell to it along with the bath towels, had to put them in on a hot wash to get rid of the smell."
Overall not good at all.
We are sorry to hear that the cottage didnt meet your expectations, However, You never contacted Sykes cottages to express your concerns. I spoke to you on the day of arrival as you were not happy that the hallway had a little bit of moss on the floor which had been blown in when the door have opened, which my cleaner came up within 10 minutes so hoover it again. unfortunately this is something we cant control as the wind tends to blow if both doors are open at anytime, or can be brought in from shoes. I for one know that the cottage floors were cleaned to a very high standard as the week before the cottage had a deep clean with all floors and carpets professionally cleaned as well as all maintenance work done. deep cleans are done every 6 months to maintain the high quality standards as well as it been cleaned every time the cottage is used. I am sorry that the brand new towels weren't up to your standard, maybe i will consider where I purchase them from in future. The cobweb in the room is from a little money spider that which I do believe that you addressed with my cleaner on the day of arrival as you wanted her to remove it. I would also like to thank you for rearranging the furniture in the cottage and all the kitchenware, however, we have decided we would like to keep it as it has been over the years as this works better for everyone else that has stayed. "We had a lovely stay in pebble bay, lovely home with everything you need, beds really comfotarable bed linen lovely and fresh."
For those who arent familiar with area its important to note parking is not simple when you initially arrive, no street parking outside property, so difficult if you have luggage and small children, bit stressful, but once you are familiar with area it is easier. Our kids loved sleeping in bunk beds, their bedroom had books and plenty of games for them to play. The description of property says patio/garden, would not describe as either only handy for drying clothes, Only small criticism we have with property, but no need for garden as 2 minute walk up the road takes you to fantastic kids park, opposite school. Enjoyable break .

"Fantastic cottage right in the centre of brixham."
We've just returned from a great week at pebble bay, the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and lovely views of the harbour from all floors. No trouble parking all week in the side roads near the bowls club. Enjoyable days at national trust properties Coleton fishacre and Greenway (Both within 20 minutes), Paignton zoo and the living coasts in Torquay. Our 2 girls (7 and 5) also loved Broadsands beach and crabbing in brixham harbour. Would definitely recommend the cottage and Location and we will be booking a return

"Loved the cottage, felt like a home with all the homely features, lovely decor, great facilities, very spacious so comfortable."
Could have done with longer
-
"Parking advice should be given as there is no nearby parking, short stay parking which isn’t ideal."
-
"Fantastic place, very homely with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in"

"Fantastic holiday in Pebble Bay cottage."
Extended family 5 of us from age 9 to 69. Beautiful location , view of harbour from bedrooms Fantastic decor. Exceptionally well furnished with top notch fittings. Quirky and brilliant use made of every area to maximise space especially top bedroom with cute ensuite. Good facilities, including Wi-fi and TV, washer and dishwasher. Luxurious main bathroom with roll top bath and free standing shower also. Spotless clean and well looked after. Quite a few narrow stairs but we soon got use to them. Lovely green close by . Poppy loved to win grandad at football there, and visit The Golden Hind pirate ship on the harbour. Good exercise. Brixham is a lovely harbour town, plenty of restaurants and lovely walks. Beautiful coastline, easy walk to town, though quite hilly, soon got used to it, several ways to it , broadsteps best way. Berry Head is a must to visit, lovely little cafe, great views. Good base for Paignton , Goodrington Sands, Totnes, Dartmouth, Torquay, Broadsands Take the bus if you don't want to drive. Plenty of boat trips also. Very friendly locals and well looked after clean streets with lovely flowers everywhere. To top it all , after a cold start the weather turned out to be fantastic for April .Will definitely be back .

"We loved Pebble Bay, sweet wee cottage."
Fresh bright lovely and clean, well presented home from home. Boost to have the dishwasher & washing machine. The steps were a bit challenging 2 of us have dodgy knees! We soon found it easier to walk up the roads better for our knees and legs!! Suggestion: please could you give each person an extra hand towel each. Also need a lock on the bathroom door! bit of a laugh as we had to shout out "gardyloo" or some such silliness!! We were so fortunate with the weather glorious & warm. Definitely recommend to Friends & Family.
-
"IT ws all straight forward, well organised so we had no surprises."
Lots of information on arrival at the house. The house was beautiful, a really good base.

It's been a great holiday and it's a fantastic view.. my Self my Fiancé and my parents have had the best week since we have been going away together and can t wait to boom for next year! I would recommend this cottage to everyone who wants a week away it's just a fantastic area and even a great scenery from the windows... Defiantly an a*********** rating from us!!

"Very clean and comfortable cottage, with everything needed for a holiday there."
The only problem is no parking avaliable but we found roadside parking nearby, however I should imagine it must be difficult to find free parking near to cottage in the peak holiday period.
-
"We had a fantastic holiday staying at pebble bay."
The accommodation was lovely and a home from home. Parking at the bowling green was free and not time restricted. Only a few minutes walk away. Many places nearby for delicious food and shops too. We visited lots of tourist attractions and were not disappointed by any of them. Sea-kayaking, fishing, crabbing, theme parks, ferry trips, steam train .... lots for all of the family. We will hopefully return to pebble bay and beautiful Brixham.

"The cottage was amazing."
Location couldn't have been better, even with all the steps and steep roads to climb to get back at the end of the day.Certainly made us a lot fitter.Brixham certainly worked its charm on us.A amazing holiday with good weather.

"Pebble Bay was fantastic."
The Cottage was ideally placed in Brixham for us, and we could leave the car and just relax. The cottage was spotless and is designed really nice, it felt very luxurious as if we were in a boutique hotel - very nice. The owner was exceptionally kind to send a welcome text notifying us that she had left tea, coffee, milk and biscuits for us. We had no complaints and we all said we would go back again.
-
"This place is brilliant, the view of the harbour to wake up to are epic."
Small touches like arranging the parking and the coffee and tea were very much appreciated after long drive down. Would defiantly recommend.
-
"The Cottage was very well stocked, plenty of utensils, washing up machine, and washing machine, very good bonus."

"Good location, very nice house, the only downside was that when we got back to the premises on a nice day there was nowhere to sit out side except a very small patio ,when you looked up you could see a small square of sky ."
-

Everything you need for a comfy stay. A well situated cottage.
-
"A lovely, clean, well appointed cottage in a fantastic location."
No complaints.

"Right from researching cottages through to arriving at pebble bay this experience has been plane sailing !"
The cottage itself is a gem , beautifully decorated with simple and tasteful style which added ambience and further comfort to our stay. So many thoughtful touches, night lights, heated towel trails, milk and biscuits on arrival, fireplace already prepared in a perfect location. Just minutes walk through quaint lanes and alleyways to shops, multitude of excellent dining options and so many traditional small public houses. beautiful coastal walks just outside the doorstep. Well kitted out kitchen with excellent sharp knives and high quality pots etc. All the rooms and bedrooms were clean comfortable and well equipped. And the views ... wow!!!

-
"Pebble Bay far exceeded our expectations."
on arrival, there was a caddy full of tea, a new jar of coffee and milk in the fridge. the owner also left two packs of biscuits to welcome us. The house was very well appointed and had plenty of saucepans and frypans and there were more than enough cups, glasses etc, even a block of sharp knives, which is great for those of us that like to cook. There were more than enough power sockets and storage room. The double beds were really comfortable and the bunk beds, full sized. The en suite bedroom had a good view over the harbour. We were all most impressed with the quality of this property and we are looking forward to going again.
