  • "Wonderful stay at Mill House for a celebration of my mother's 60th birthday."

Chris, the owner, greeted us on arrival and he was just so lovely. And there was home made cake on the kitchen top. The farm is brilliant there are cows, horses, hens. We had fresh eggs everyday The cottage is spacious, clean and the garden is huge! Brilliant for our little dog. Also did a couple of bbqs using the grill. Great location, we went to Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Polkerris Beach, Lost Gardens of Heligan. Highly recommend and we would stay again. Thank you for the warm hospitality Chris & Vicki.

  • "What a wonderful week we’ve had at Mill House!"

Lovely holiday cottage! Plenty of space for all 9 of us! Kitchen was the best equipped one we had ever seen! Owner was lovely and the complimentary cakes were a special touch! Our girls loved the pony rides, chickens and billy the farm cat! Great base for exploring! Looe was wonderful and we really enjoyed the beach there and the crab catching! We had a lovely meal at the ship Inn Polperro which was a beautiful village and well worth a visit! Only slight negative feedback is the beds, they are quite uncomfortable and some of us were suffering with a bad back! I would probably recommend a mattress topper! But all in all a great week had by all.

  • "The bathrooms en sleeping rooms were very moisty!"

Mushrooms were growing rapidly. The bedrooms smelled like rotting wood and carpet. This was a structural problem. We have feedbacked the owner but he ignored our complaint. We will send you a seperate mail with photographs …

I am sorry you were so dissatisfied. We responded to issues you had with the dishwasher caused by jamming of the rotor arm with loose cutlery, the tv caused by the wrong input having been selected and turned off the Aga all within hours of being notified. If you had told us about the mushrooms earlier instead of at the end of your two week stay we would have discovered a leaking pipe and the problem could have been resolved sooner. Property Owner

  • "I have been holidaying in Cornwall for over 50 years and I can honestly say this is one of the best."

The location was amazing. It was peaceful, quite and very comfortable. The pictures certainly don’t do it justice. We will definitely be back again. The treats left for us were also a lovely surprise and just what was needed after the car journey from Stoke on Trent. Thank you for letting us share your beautiful spot in Cornwall.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the Mill House and look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Mill House in May 2024 with my elderly parents and our four young children."

The bedrooms are a great size, two with ensuites and a main bathroom with bath. One double room also has a dressing room by the ensuite which has a single bed and room for a cot - which was perfect for our baby. There's also a door from this room out into the garden. The upstairs is lovely, with gorgeous wooden beams and an aga, which was lovely as it was a bit chilly. Plenty of seating and a small balcony for warmer mornings or evenings. Possibly the best equipped kitchen we've had during a UK stay too. The garden is gorgeous with views over the farm and fields of horses. If it had been warmer we would have enjoyed BBQs every evening and a cuppa on the deck in the morning. The garden is secure and our dogs were able to roam free - though we recommend supervision as one did get under the gate a few times. The owners and people at the farm we're incredible and made this holiday! They couldn't do enough and even drove me and the kids around the entire farm to meet the new calves and lambs. They got to feed lambs and calves every day with bottles as well as feed the chickens and collect eggs (which were available to buy too). My daughter got to help with some horses and even had a ride and jump (she's an expert rider). The location is great, 20 mins to the nearest beach, 30 mins to most others. We did some lovely coastal walks and the owners had great tips on eateries and places to go. We cannot recommend Mill House highly enough!

Thank you for your great review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the Mill House. Property Owner

  • "Lovely holiday cottage."

Peaceful surroundings, we loved the sounds of the farm at work. The Aga kept us cosy in October. Internet can be a bit patchy, and no Vodafone coverage, so need to plan your days out in advance.

  • "Finding the property was good, the post code took us directly there."

Good parking, right outside the property. We were met by the owner as we arrived, who went through a small induction of the facilities, which was good. The owners also left some scones and cream, which we all enjoyed. The mill was fully equipped in the kitchen, the lady’s of the group were very impressed, and it was noted how clean things were. My daughter was impressed with the Aga ranger cooker for the cooking of meals, the Aga was on 24/7, this was great on the chilly mornings, but a-bit over powering on the really hot days, although there were lots of windows and doors to open. Every one we met on the farm were very friendly, especially all the lady’s who were looking after the horse’s , they let the kids ride the horses, lead them to their paddocks, and some grooming. We liked to go for a walk in the evening, to say goodnight to the horses, we all had our particular favorites. The farm is a good base for the north of Cornwall, but be prepared to travel down really narrow lane, if you rely on satnav. Overall we can say that the accommodation has enhanced our week in Cornwall. Thanks Mill Cottage, and all who sail with her.
