  • "We stayed here for 7 nights (family of five)."

The cottage was beautiful and clean and the farm itself was a perfect setting for us. The views were great and the added benefit of a small children's play area was much appreciated by our youngest 2! The cottage was lovely and clean and had lots of facilities (everything we would need). There was even a lovely welcome gift in the fridge when we arrived of milk, fresh eggs, scones, jam and cream! For us it was perfectly located for us to travel to the places in Cornwall that we wanted to visit. We would absolutely book to come back and stay here again! Thank you for a fabulous holiday!

Another happy week spent in this gorgeous cottage, surrounded by gorgeous views and enjoying gorgeous food, courtesy of the welcome cream tea from Lynn, and the Minions Tea Shop a short walk up the hill.

  • "Lovely cottage, we really enjoyed our stay."

The only quiblle would be that it was a bit musty / damp unless we left the windows open a bit.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Bickle Bice cottage during the Easter holidays."

The owners were very helpful and accommodating given that we booked last minute. It is set in beautiful remote surroundings and our children loved running around the farm and local area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • "Bickle Bice is a lovely cottage in a stunning location."

We loved it! It was cosy and we had everything we needed. The directions provided were excellent and you are a 5 minute drive from a village with a shop and tea rooms but the cottage itself is surrounded by moor.

  • "Lyn and Rebecca went above and beyond for us during our stay at Bickle Bice."

We had a less than perfect start to our holiday, thanks to car trouble, but their kindness and help more than compensated for it. We still cannot believe how lucky we were to have met them as part of our holiday. John was a lovely friend to our 6 yr old, who doesn’t normally warm to strangers, and made his stay full of wonder and excitement. Now onto the actual cottage review! The cottage is set on an idyllic farm, complete with the best views you could wish for. The facilities are outstanding and thoughtfully provided, and made for a real home away from home, albeit with better scenery! A delicious cream tea awaited us in the fridge, and a little goody bag for our dogs was most welcome. The beds were comfortable and cosy, the kitchen was well equipped and a good size for a family of five, and the living room had amazing views. We loved every moment of our stay, and will definitely be returning as soon as we can. Thank you again to the wonderful family who made our stay so special.

Lovely clean property and a very tidy farmyard in a lovely setting. Owners very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was equipped with everything you needed. The scones and eggs were a lovely welcome present, and even the Dogs had a goody bag left for them too Play area for the kids, and a excellent dog walking paddock free to use. I would definitely recommend this property.

  • "John and Lynn are wonderful hosts and like the native Cornish people they are very warm and welcoming."

Bickle Bice Cottage has breathtaking valley views and the common facilities have a good children's play area too. We were delighted to be welcomed with a Cornish Cream tea and some farm eggs. Do not forget to purchase their jumbo Hen and Duck eggs. The beds are so comfortable that we requested for a longer sleeping in time on our check-out day, and they most welcomingly agreed. The only short coming was an intermittently weak WIFi as our mobile network was not strong for mobile data and we wanted to stream some live games. But an tv detox is sometimes good during such trips :)

From here there is easy access to some of Bodmin Moor’s most striking features, including the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor and the engine houses at Minions, as well as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill. The village has a traditional 17th century pub serving good food and a Post Office. Both coasts are within easy reach, from the crashing surf of the north coast to the clear waters and fishing villages of the south. Siblyback Lake, 6 miles away, offers angling and water sports, and there is salmon and trout fishing available on local rivers.
