  • "We really enjoyed our short break in your property."

It was conveniently situated to the town and beach and within easy driving distance of lots of lovely places to visit

  • "Lovely apartment very clean and well equipped."

Excellent location for exploring the area, off road parking is a bonus. The sea view is just postcard perfect spent lots of time on the balcony enjoying the view...even in October as it's quite sheltered. We would definitely recommend this apartment and will book again when visiting the area.

We would've benefitted from some instructions for the dishwasher, oven and some indication of when and where to dispose of rubbish/recycling (though, on investigation it seemed quite obvious)

  • "The property was in a fantastic location with great sea views."

Takes only a 2 minute walk & you are in the beach. It was lovely & clean & spacious with the bonus of your own parking space behind the property. Shops & restaurants are only a short stroll away & a short drive will take you to the moors where you can see the ponies & great views. I give it 10 out of 10 & would highly recommend. No negatives at all

  • "The apartment was lovely and clean, large and spacious and in a great position for walking into town or along the sea front."

The only complaints are there were no instuctions for empting bins on what day what to do with bed linen and no welcome pack like a bottle of milk or packet of biscuits. Also no instuctions for using dishwasher never having had one. Other wise my wife and I enjoyed our stay.

  • "We enjoyed our weekend at Kittiwake; it was clean and warm and a great location overlooking the sea."

Unfortunately, all the beds were very uncomfortable (particularly the single beds), the large bedroom is quite cold and the duvet was totally inadequate for this time of year (we had to layer all the throws on top for extra warmth) and the pillows were not particularly good quality.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay, our aim was to walk or hike during the day and eat out in the evening."

Kittiwake is in the perfect position for both, close to the South Western costal path and close to restaurants and pubs so we didn’t have to move the car all week. The view from the veranda is great and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine sat outside in the sun. A big bonus was having the off-road car park. The only comment, and it didn’t affect our stay at all, is that the front room settee and and carpet could do with an extra clean, probably it is during the off season I don’t know. All in all we had a great stay and would go back again.

  • "The apartment is very spacious with amazing views of the sea and beach and had most amenities apart from a washing machine or dryer but these are available in a separate room on the next stairs landing but they only takes £1 coins and it's £2 for half an hour so you will need to collect a few for a load of washing !"

There is no welcome pack which is unusual for Sykes cottages even a pint of milk would have been a nice touch? The TV is quite small and there is no sky or freeview so just the basic channels which is quite unusual these days. We had no hanging rail in the twin bedroom on arrival which I had seen should be there on the Sykes website so queried this and Lawrence brought one up 30 minutes later which was great

Lovely flat to stay in very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. We had great weather with glorious places to visit. Took the coastal bus which was only (£4 return) to Lynmouth, the views were stunning. Only thing I'd of liked to have been there was a iron as there is a board, hairdryer, small hover.

The flat was equiped with all we needed and was very clean and roomy! The decor was up-to-date and in good condtion. It was a quiet spot with wonderful views over the prom and sea. Thank you. We hope to come again one day.

  • "Perfect location and very quiet."

Beautiful views from the living room and balcony. Lovely to wake up to the sounds of waves and to watch sun rise over the sea. Was met on arrival by friendly host and shown where to go. Off road parking was useful as on street parking does get busy. Charming double bedroom. Comfortable flat with some homely features but there were a few snagging issues that stop me giving more stars.  The symbols on the oven have worn off, oven was smokey and the large gas hob was temperamental to light.  Information book could have had more information (ie Wi-Fi details, although these were provided on request). No cleaning products or welcome pack. Some aspects looking a little shabby ie. bath, curtains in twin room.
