"This was our second visit."
We love the Log Shed and will stay again. Thanks for the fresh apple juice!

"We had a very relaxing stay at this beautiful cottage."
A very quiet setting in the beautiful countryside is what we wanted and this was just perfect. Jane and her family were very welcoming and thanks for the cake and the milk. It was also a joy to see and talk to Jane’s mom and special thanks to her for bringing some home grown veggies. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, all rooms very well furnished with great attention to details. The tennis court was also in top condition. It was amazing to see the cows in the nearby fields but that their presence also brings some unpleasant odour and flies. Overall, this is a great cottage for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the countryside.

"Our holiday at the Old Log Shed was very good."
It is a high standard accomodation. It is very well equiped and above all the kitchen where nothing is missing and have very good furniture. The bedrooms are large enough and the beds comfortable.

"The Old Log Shed is very well set up and fully equipped with quality furnishings and facilities."
Jane, the owner, was very welcoming. She provided us with a lovely sponge cake, so thanks again Jane. The location is very quiet, which is what we like. Peace and quiet.
-
"A lovely/practical cottage whose owners had thought through what every self caterer needs."
The result? Nothing else needed. A pity there are no footpaths to walk "from the door" but there are many excellent scenic walks within 4/5 miles and the coast is only 30 mins or so, away Loved Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer (particularly there Caves) Shall we return ? - Yes.
-
"Spotless accommodation, comfortable and peaceful."
Very helpful owner, even helping with our Tesco order when we were stuck in traffic! Could not establish why we had such a problem with flies in the property, even when there was no food out or other such items to attract them. Altogether, aside from the flies, we had a superb break.
-
"Well equipped, spotlessly clean property in a lovely quiet location with the owners on site who were able to suggest places to visit and eat when asked to do so."
-

It has been expertly converted into a lovely holiday let and the quality is obvious through out. It is the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. The lawn is also perfect and quiet for our kids to run around and burn off some energy! Thank you for letting us stay

"The very well-equipped cottage was great and in a lovely setting."
The provision of some local milk, a delicious cake and a few tea bags was very welcome, especially as we flew from France and were unable to bring things from home. Despite rain every day of our week's holiday, we enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable stay.

"We had a really great holiday staying at The Old Log Shed."
We could not fault the accommodation, it was extremely well equipped, and the owners were so friendly and helpful, and welcomed us with a delicious homemade cake! Our children loved playing tennis and in the garden, and it is in a great location for enjoying the seaside, as well as other local tourist attractions (including alpaca trekking, donkey sanctuary, fossil hunting, and Bicton Park and gardens). We would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family

A most welcome cake, milk and flowers on arrival. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This is our second visit and we hope to return again in the future.

"Given the current situation and having had our previous picked property cancelled by the owner Sykes did everything they could to get us a matching property on the same dates and of the same quality."

Real home from home, and made to feel very welcome by the owners Jane, Phil and family. Idyllic location with extra attraction of full sized tennis court. Lovely little extras including fresh flowers and home made cake. Highly recommended.

"The Old Log Shed is a superb little house."
It has everything you could possibly want in a holiday let, in fact I could quite easily live here! Well equipped, very clean and very comfortable, a large patio and lovely garden. Surrounded by beautiful views of the countryside and oh so peaceful. If there is a negative point to make it would be that if you’re a keen walker there are no walks to go on from the property, you need a car to get anywhere!
-

The owners made us feel truly welcome and the setting was bliss! The tennis court was amazing, the swing gave hours of fun and the property itself was just a dream.

About the location
HONITON
Ottery St Mary 5.6 miles; Lyme Regis 14.2 miles; Exeter 16.7 miles.
Honiton is a delightful market town in East Devon, with plenty to offer visitors. It lies in the valley of the River Otter and is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and plenty of scattered farming villages. Honiton has an attractive High Street stretching almost 2 miles, and lined with individually owned shops, pubs and restaurants. Honiton has been famous for lacemaking since the reign of Elizabeth I and still has a few lacemakers in work today - visitors can see some fine examples of antique lace in the town’s Allhallows Museum. Honiton boasts the only public art gallery in East Devon; the Thelma Hulbert Gallery occupies an attractive Grade I listed Victorian house, and has links with the Hayward Gallery, London. Honiton is only a short drive from the dramatic 20 mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. Resorts such as Seaton, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth are found along this stretch of coastline, and all have much to occupy the visitor. Near to Honiton is the cathedral city of Exeter with plenty of large shops, a wealth of museums, a theatre and fabulous restaurants.
