  • "Stunning apartment and hot tub."

Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Amazing sea views. Highly recommended especially for people who don’t mind driving up and down the very steep hills. Local taxis are reliable. Unfortunately no local shops or pubs nearby otherwise perfect.

  • "Just want to start off by saying this property has lovely views and lots of areas to relax and chill out in."

One big issue I will say is that the cottage has zero household essentials. As soon as we arrived after a 5 hour drive, there was NO hand wash in the bathroom- which was poor. A look around the kitchen proved that there was nothing except some sugar sachets. We had to spend £30 extra on getting the household basics such as kitchen roll, fairy liquid, salt, pepper, tea, milk etc. This cottage was really lacking in basic facilities. We have stayed in air bnbs before but have never had such a poorly stocked house before! It was comical that there was a dolce gusto coffee machine available to use but no coffee pods! Our stay was okay, we enjoyed the balconies however the bigger one could have been cleaned as the floor had alot of stones and general dirt! The hot tub was lovely however again could have been cleaned as there was lots of leaves, dirt on the floor. Another problem we dealt with was the Google maps address and the ‘what three words’ provided to use on arrival. The W3W code sent you to the wrong house on the street! We were shocked as ‘what three words’ is supposed to be extremely accurate however we had to go around the street 3 times before we ignored the Google maps link and W3W and just manually looked for the house! Overall we enjoyed our stay however there were a few issues that made our stay a a little problematic.

  • "The property is beautiful and clean, we had the odd few cobwebs but not a big deal."

The property is far more equipped than listed, with a hairdryer, clothes airers and fans. Located in a quiet area, this property is perfect for a restful vacation and still close enough to the local amenities. The hot tub is amazing too. Lovely place, will be back!

  • "Superb apartment with unbelievably stunning views, spotlessly clean, comfortable and great hot tub."

Loved the robes and disposable flip-flops, a wonderful luxury touch! Very quiet in a beautiful location. Adored every second of our time here gazing across the bay! The only tiny thing I would mention is that we felt that for the standard of everything else the kitchen could be better equipped.

  • "I would like to preface this by saying that I rarely leave reviews but felt I really should on this occasion."

The very faded and rather tired artificial flowers outside the property did not create a great first impression. The apartment was spotlessly clean and generally well appointed although we ended up having to buy additional loo roll and kitchen towel - there were 2 of us and we only use a normal amount of these items. The location was a plus - the view from the apartment was stunning - but also meant that we couldn't really go anywhere without the car. We did walk down into town a few times but the walk back up hlll is not for the faint hearted and we could not always time it with buses! . Some instructions for the whirlpool bath would have been useful - not everyone is familiar with them and we had to call Sykes when the jets repeatedly switched on when there was no water in it. I did ask for the owners to give me a call but they were apparently too busy. We just decided not to use it again. The hot tub was very well maintained but totally surrounded by fence panels - I realise this was probably for privacy reasons but the lack of any view of anything made using it rather boring. I thought it a bit mean spirited to ask us to bring our own tea towels given that we had paid over £1200 for the booking. Sadly we decided to come home 2 days early as we were just not enjoying ourselves.

I was bringing the cases into the downstairs hall so my wife was first up the stairs and I heard her first word: WOW! Stylish accommodation, fantastic views of Torbay and two outside areas: a decking and a balcony. Sunsets and sunrises and a beautifully relaxing holiday (large not tub) also ideally situated for getting out and about. Thoroughly recommended! Pete and karon Bennett (and son Tom)

  • "The flat itself, was very well presented and clean."

Two lovely balconies with sea views, TV in the lounge and both bedrooms, a jacuzzi bath and hot tub. It has the feel of a luxury 5 star however........ There were a few niggles that stop me giving this rental the 5th star. The parking facilities. Although we were aware there was only parking for one car, and it was allocated, it is at the bottom of a VERY steep driveway. there are 2 other dwellings underneath this flat, another holiday rental, also with one car parking space, and another dwelling that had 2 cars. Sometimes these two cars obstructed / made it very difficult to exit the steep driveway. who wants to reverse up a very long 45 degree drive onto a residential road. I feel the available outside space, that had 2 garages, could have been utilised better for residents parking. These next points may seem picky, but I think, worth noting. The dining table has strange 'legs.' If you're sat at either end, it's fine, but if you are sat at the side, you can't get your feet underneath and I bashed my knees finding this out. The shower, although fantastic, had no shelve inside for soap/shampoo etc, which meant putting them on the floor. Also there was no hook directly outside the shower for a towel/dressing gown which again, means putting them on the floor - and it got very wet when opening the shower door. (There are hooks on the back of the bathroom door, but it's on the other side of the shower cubicle.) Whilst there are amazingly deep drawers under the bathroom sink, again a shelve for soap/tooth brush etc, would have been appreciated. There are no curtains in the bedrooms, only slatted blinds. I was in the double room at the beginning of July, which meant the sun poured in at dawn and woke me very early. It seems there was a curtain pole at sometime, as three holes have been filled in directly above the window. A picky point but, the reading lights above the beds are placed so high up, I had to get out of bed to turn them off, a bit impractical. It might be an idea to lower them, or have bedside lamps.... Some of the kitchen utensils need upgrading, the tin opener is naff and didn't work well! My personal preference, I didn't like the faded plastic foliage in tubs outside the flat. It's almost a luxury flat and I felt these detracted from the image. Other than that, it's a very well presented property aiming to cater for all your needs. Just these few things, in my opinion, would take it to the next level.
